The purpose of this study is to reveal the existence of censorship in our country which was one of the method of wielding authority on bodies. For the purpose, the definition of censorship was studied through the concept of ′Symbolic Violence′ from Bourdieu and ′Panopticon′ from Foucault. A censorship can be defined as "all kinds of structural, systemical and psychological control mechanism on specific expression in our society". This study was conducted to find a task to adjust the conflict situation by categorizing and analyzing the recent cases of library book censorship and analyzing the field perception on the subject of library book censorship. Therefore, recent cases of book censorship were categorized into four categories: political, legal, sexuality, and sex crime. As a result of the study, 44.5% of the respondents who answered that the restriction on access to books related to sex crimes was not a library censorship or that it was difficult to judge. It showed the perception that this issue is not an issue that can be easily decided by book censorship. Meanwhile, as a result of a survey of librarians, there was an opinion that there was a need for restrictions on collecting or reading at the library site for various reasons, and eventually showed a gap from the code of ethics for librarians against all censorship, showing the need to make efforts to reconcile such conflicts in the future.

This present study focuses on Franco's censorship and its influences in the works of Carmen Martín Gaite and Miguel Delibes. We know that from the years 1940's to 1970's a very harsh censorship existed in Spain. But the authors of those times were not completely obedient to the power of the Regime. Some authors attempted to find a new way to present his novels. In fact, Between Curtains of Martín Gaite shows an ideology that advocates for women who were not valued as deserved at the time. Against Franco's totalitarianism the author indirectly revealed readers an attempt to improve the situation of women, criticizing the tradition. On the other hand, Delibes sought a new way of presenting the novel in Five Hours with Mario to avoid Franco regime's censorship. The author hid behind a character that represents Franco's politics to criticize the society of that time. The both authors as representatives of contemporary Spanish literature demonstrate that the oppression does not restrict the authors' ability to create unexpected works.

Video on demand (VOD) platforms provide immersive, inspiring, and commercial-free binge watching experiences. Recently, the number of these platform users increased dramatically as users can enjoy various contents without physical and time constraints during COVID-19. However, such platforms do not provide sufficient video censorship services while there is a strong need. In this study, we investigated the users' desire for video censorship when choosing and watching movies on VOD platforms, and how video censorship can be applied to different types of scenes to increase the censoring effect without diminishing the enjoyment. We first conducted an online survey with 98 respondents to identify the types of discomfort while watching sexual, violent, or drug-related scenes. We then conducted an in-depth online interview with 18 participants to identify the effective video filtering types and regions for each of the three scenes. Based on the findings, we suggest implications for designing a censor application for videos that contain uncomfortable scenes.

This study aims to explore ways to improve self-censorship tendency in teacher librarians by identifying factors that influence the self-censorship which appears during collection development in elementary school libraries. For this purpose, first, we examined the concept of self-censorship through a review of related literature, then carried out a series of in-depth interviews as a pilot study to develop a questionnaire, which was used for a questionnaire survey. Finally, the survey data was analyzed statistically with SPSS 21.0, a statistical package. As a result, we have discovered statistically significant relationships between self-censorship and the characteristics in collection development policies, school library committees, and the complaints related with the library collections. Based on these results, the factors on the self-censorship were identified in the perception of the school librarians. Based on these results, we suggest to reinforce the function of review and approval of book selection in the school library committee, developed and approved a collection development policy include guidelines for dealing with users' complaints related to library collection, and stipulated a regulation for school library operation to remove inappropriate books from the library collection.

The simplest and the most important distribution in survival analysis is the exponential distribution. In this paper, we investigate the influence of the random censorship model on the estimation of the scale parameter of the exponential distribution. The considered random censorship models are Koziol-Green model and the generalized exponential distribution model. Two models have different meanings. Through the simulation study, the averages of the estimated values of the parameter do not show big differences, however the MSE of the estimator tends to be bigger when the supposed model is significantly different from the true model.

This essay aims to examine Korean motion picture policy on the government censorship system from Jacques Derrida's thought associated with sense of ethics. Korean motion picture policy has focused on protection of domestic films to achieve a national goal from military dictatorship regime, so-called people unification or social stability. It also aimed to spread propaganda for despotic government. Thus, the government keeps tight control over all motion picture policy. It restricts not only freedom of choosing movies but also creativity from artist. Derrida used to talk about the justice and violence law. Derrida's thought is connected with the ethical consideration. This research concerned about the violence within film censorship policy of Korean government and explore possibilities of ethical censorship policy from Derrida's perspectives.

Internet censorship-circumvention and anonymizing services are becoming important with an increase in Internet population. Existing circumvention/anonymizing systems, however, have their own limitations, and they mainly suffer from the shortage of volunteers who relay others' traffic to bypass censors. In this paper, we present a new way of achieving censorship-circumvention while guaranteeing anonymity through the cooperation between censored and uncensored users.

The film has far-reaching power than any other media. For this reason, a censorship has existed in some way but censorship is like a double-edged sword. If KMRB stood in front of a desire to preserve the morals of society and youth protection, creativity of artists must be shaken. On the contrary if free will is emphasized, social chaos will be increase. Thus most countries made various censorship systems in order to overcome this contradiction. In recent years, mainly on the issue of censorship and the rating is a tendency to transfer to the voluntary deliberation agency. However, this issue is still dealing with this problem at KMRB in Korea. Then KMRB mistakes itself as the guardian of situation ethics and morality. Recently various problems appeared in the film rating system. KMRB should be devolved on the voluntary deliberation agency in order to solve the problem. therefore this study The study will be to review the need for voluntary veliberation agency.

This study aimed to find ways to reduce self-censorship by identifying the conflict and attribution to the motivation for self-censorship during the curriculum of the College of Arts. The analysis confirmed the significance of each relationship by conducting a correlation and regression analysis between the variables, and the analysis of the effects was based on the significant factors among them. The analysis showed the external locus of control toward self-censorship and interpersonal conflict had a partial mediation effect. In other words, as the degree of conflict in the educational environment increases, art college students are aware of the cause of the problem due to external characteristics such as others, task difficulty, etc., and thus confirmed the conclusion that frustration and shame caused by it become the motive for self-censorship.
