Due to the environment of irregular soil characteristic for agricultural fields, dynamic characteristic occurs in the tractor cabin during agricultural operations. Operator's fatigue is increased, and operation performance is decreased by these irregular environment conditions. This study was conducted to measure and analyze the dynamic characteristic of a tractor cabin, a major agriculture machinery, during agricultural operations. The specification of tractor used in the study was a 95 kW class tractor. To analyze the dynamic characteristics of the tractor cabin, the main agricultural operations, plow tillage and rotary tillage, were selected. To measure data of dynamic characteristic of the cabin, which continuously changes during operations, an Ellipse Series INS (inertia navigation system) with a built-in IMU (inertia measurement unit) was attached to the center of gravity of the cabin. During field test, the gear stages of plow tillage were B4 (4.3 km·h-1) and B5 (5.6 km·h-1), and the gear stages of rotary tillage were A3 (3.3 km·h-1) and A4 (4.2 km·h-1), which are the most commonly used. To analyze dynamic characteristic such as roll and pitch during operations according to the gear stages. As a result, the dynamic characteristics of pitch increased more than the dynamic characteristics of roll as the travel speed increased, and the dynamic characteristics of both agricultural operations were in the range of 2 to 5°.
Objectives: Aircraft cabin cleaning work is characterized by being performed within a limited time in a narrow and enclosed space. The objective of this study was to evaluate the exposure levels to dust, ultra fine dust(PM2.5) and black carbon(BC) among aircraft cabin cleaners. Methods: Active personal air sampling for respirable dust(n=73) and BC(n=47) was conducted during quick transit cleaning(cabin general and vacuum-specific) and seat cover replacement and total dust and PM2.5 were area-air-sampled as well. Also, size distribution of particle was identified with the cleaning workers targeted. Dusts were collected with PVC filters using gravimetric analysis. The concentration of PM2.5 and the particle size distribution were measured with real-time direct reading portable equipment using light scattering analysis. The concentration of BC was measured by aethalometer(filter-based real-time light absorption analysis instrument). Results: The geometric mean of respirable dust was the highest at vacuum cleaning as 74.4 ㎍/m3, following by replacing seat covers as 49.3 ㎍/m3 and cabin general cleaning as 47.8 ㎍/m3 . The arithmetic mean of PM2.5 was 4.83 ~ 9.89 ㎍/m3 inside the cabin, and 28.5~44.5 ㎍/m3 outside the cabin(from bus and outdoor waiting space). From size distribution, PM2.5/PM10 ratio was 0.54 at quick transit cleaning and 0.41 at replacing seat covers. The average concentration of BC was 2~7 ㎍/m3, showing a high correlation with the PM2.5 concentration. Conclusions: The hazards concentration levels of aircraft cabin cleaners were very similar to those of roadside outdoor workers. As the main source of pollution is estimated to be diesel vehicles operating at airports, and it is necessary to replace older vehicles, strengthen pollutant emission control regulations, and introduce electric vehicles. In addition, it is necessary to provide as part of airport-inftastructure a stable standby waiting space for aircraft cabin cleaners and introduce a systematic safety and health management system for all workers in the aviation industry.
The main goal of this article is to validate a methodological process in Actran MSC Software, that is based on the Finite Element Method, to evaluate the comfort in the cabin of a regional aircraft and to study the noise and vibrations reduction through the fuselage by the use of innovative materials. In the preliminary work phase, the CAD model of a fuselage section was created representing the typical features and dimensions of an airplane for regional flights. Subsequently, this model has been imported in Actran and the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) inside the cabin has been analyzed; moreover, the noise reduction through the fuselage has been evaluated. An important investigation and data collection has been carried out for the study of the aircraft cabin to make it as close as possible to a real problem, both in geometry and in materials. The mesh of the structure has been built from the CAD model and has been simplified in order to reduce the number of degrees of freedom. Finally, different fuselage configurations in terms of materials are compared: in particular, aluminum, composite and sandwich material with composite skins and poroelastic core are considered.
This research identifies the relation between the quality of cabin service(personnel and material services) in Korean low-cost airlines and resulting customer satisfaction and loyalty. Its aim is to provide low-cost airlines' international flights with basic information when building strategies, and to suggest a strategic implication for an original and competitive cabin service policy that can enhance customer retention. As a result of the analysis, first, hypothesis 1 on relation between the quality of Korean low-cost airlines' cabin service and customer satisfaction was all valid. Moreover, it was coherent with the results of previous researches. Second, hypothesis 2 on relation between the quality of Korean low-cost airlines' cabin service and customer satisfaction was also valid and coherent with previous studies. Third, hypothesis 3 on relation between customer satisfaction and loyalty was valid and coherent with existing studies. Consequently, this research suggests that in order to achieve the continuous retention of loyal customers through customer satisfaction, the quality of personnel and material service has to be considered primarily. In addition to that, this research also suggests that the original and competitive service marketing of low-cost airline is necessary for an airline to continue its profit-making.
The steady three-dimensional computational thermal flow analysis using standard k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulence model was carried out to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of a cabin cooler for a commercial vehicle. The heat exchanging method of this cabin cooler is to use the cooling effect of a thermoelectric module. In view of the results so far achieved, the air system resistance of a cabin cooler is about 12.4 Pa as a static pressure, and then the operating point of a cross-flow fan considering in this study is formed in the comparatively low flowrate region. The air temperature difference obtained from the cold part of an thermoelectric module is about $26^{\circ}C$, and the cooling water temperature difference obtained from the hot part of an thermoelectric module is about $3.5^{\circ}C$.
A responsibility of superior management in an airline has become enormous due to rapid increase of airline's organization and its network. Even though a leadership of superior management is believed to be an important factor, it is almost impossible for management to be responsible for all the areas of an airline organization. This is why leadership should be go down to working level people. Self-leadership means that working level people possess leadership, delegated by their superior persons, and improve their work environment with the leadership as well as related right and responsibility. This paper has tried to find out the components of self-leadership perceived by foreign cabin crews and analyzed the impact of self leadership into airline's organizational effectiveness. Based on empirical research results, this paper would suggest administrative and operational implications of managing foreign cabin crews in K-airline. It was found out foreign cabin crews perceive that self reward and self evaluation have a positive impact on self observation factor. The self observation factor has a significant effect on self goal. The self goal is analyzed as a major factor which results in organizational effectiveness.

In this paper, multi-objective optimization of a multi-bubble pressure cabin in the underwater glider with Blended-Wing-Body (BWB) is carried out using Kriging and the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II). Two objective functions are considered: buoyancy-weight ratio and internal volume. Multi-bubble pressure cabin has a strong compressive capacity, and makes full use of the fuselage space. Parametric modeling of the multi-bubble pressure cabin structure is automatic generated using UG secondary development. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is employed to study the structural performance using the commercial software ANSYS. The weight of the primary structure is determined from the volume of the Finite Element Structure (FES). The stress limit is taken into account as the constraint condition. Finally, Technique for Ordering Preferences by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method is used to find some trade-off optimum design points from all non-dominated optimum design points represented by the Pareto fronts. The best solution is compared with the initial design results to prove the efficiency and applicability of this optimization method.
Aviation industry, which is highly dependent on human resources, emphasizes airline's human resources management and performance check because quality of services provided to customers is closely related to airline's employees. Because roles of cabin crews take a significant portion of services provided to customers, airlines and cabin crews represent an inseparable relationship. Attitudes of cabin crews who plays the role of facing and dealing with customers directly in the process of providing flight related services are an essential factor that determines an image of an airline and actually have significant impact on the performance as well. By increasing performance satisfaction of cabin crews, organizational loyalty can be strengthened and such successful human resources management could have a positive effect on increasing customer satisfaction as well as revenues. From corporate's perspective, performance satisfaction of an employee is a crucial factor that decides the quality of service provided to customers that supports employee retention as well as client retention. This can eventually lead to organization loyalty that can positively affect overall work performance. Thus if corporates put efforts in and invests to improve and develop favorable attitudes and service quality within employees, performance satisfaction and organizational goals will be more effectively achieved.
The excavator is used in a variety of construction environments. There are many kinds of risk like falling rocks or harmful dust. The excavator cabin protects the operator not only from these harmful environments but also provides a comfortable working environment. By the way, the excavator cabin consumes a lot of energy for cabin air conditioner. For this reason, the research is required to reduce energy consumption. This study suggests the air conditioning system for excavator using forced exhaust. First, the forced exhaust system simulated by AMESim tool and surveyed the applicability. Using AMESim simulation, it was investigated the effect of cabin inside temperature by intake flow rate and intake air temperature. The experiment executed using the 1.5 ton excavator and field tested according to the intake flow rate. Finally, verified the applicability on the air conditioning system for excavator using forced exhaust.
