RSA cryptosystem is of great use in systems such as IC card, mobile system, WPKI, electronic cash, SET, SSL and so on. RSA is performed through modular exponentiation. It is well known that the Montgomery multiplier is efficient in general. The critical path delay of the Montgomery multiplier depends on an addition of three operands, the problem that is taken over carry-propagation makes big influence at an efficiency of Montgomery Multiplier. Recently, the use of the Carry Save Adder(CSA) which has no carry propagation has worked McIvor et al. proposed a couple of Montgomery multiplication for an ideal exponentiation, the one and the other are made of 3 steps and 2 steps of CSA respectively. The latter one is more efficient than the first one in terms of the time complexity. In this paper, for faster operation than the latter one we use binary signed-digit(SD) number system which has no carry-propagation. We propose a new redundant binary adder(RBA) that performs the addition between two binary SD numbers and apply to Montgomery multiplier. Instead of the binary SD addition rule using in existing RBAs, we propose a new addition rule. And, we construct and simulate to the proposed adder using gates provided from SAMSUNG STD130 $0.18{\mu}m$ 1.8V CMOS Standard Cell Library. The result is faster by a minimum 12.46% in terms of the time complexity than McIvor's 2 method and existing RBAs.

In this paper, it is key issue about analysis of characteristics processing of digital random output stream of hardware random number generator, which is applied in medical area. The output stream of random number generator based on hardware binary random number is effected from factors such as delay, jitter, temperature, and so on. In this paper, it presents about major factor, which effects hardware output random number stream, and the randomness of output stream data, which are combined output stream and postprocessing data such as encryption algorithm, encoding algorithm, is analyzed. the analyzed results are evaluated by major test items of randomness.
This paper presents a hybrid decimal division algorithm to improve division speed. In a binary number system, non-restoring algorithm has a smaller number of operations than restoring algorithm. In decimal number system, however, the number of operations differs with respect to quotient values. Since one digit ranges 0 to 9 in decimal, the proposed hybrid algorithm employ either non-restoring or restoring algorithm on each digit to reduce iterative operations. The selection of the algorithm is based on the remainder values. The proposed algorithm improves computation speed substantially over conventional algorithms by decreasing the number of operations.

This paper proposes a heuristic algorithm to efficiently perform line balancing in the PCB assembly line including multiple surface mounters efficiently. Generally, the problems in line balancing are classified into two kinds. Firstly, is the determining of the minimum number of machines required for achieving the desired production rate. Secondly, is the assign of jobs to multiple machines in order to minimize the cycle time which is defined as a maximum among the working times of machines when the number of machines is fixed. In this paper, we deal with the latter. We consider a PCB assembly line, including the multiple surface mounters arranged serially as a target system. Also, the conveyor is assumed to move at a constant speed and have no buffer. Considering that the minimum number of machines required for the desired production rate is a discrete nonincreasing function which is inversely proportional to the cycle time, we propose an optimization algorithm for line balancing by using the binary search method. The algorithm is validated through computer simulation, the results of which show that their shapes coincide nearly with those of optimal line balancing efficiency graphs regardless of the number of components, the performance of surface mounters, and the structure of assembly line.
Face detection using the LBP based feature descriptor has issues in that it can not represent spatial information between facial shape and facial components such as eyes, nose and mouth. To address these issues, in previous research, a facial image was divided into a number of square sub-regions. However, since the sub-regions are divided into different numbers and sizes, the division criteria of the sub-region suitable for the database used in the experiment is ambiguous, the dimension of the LBP histogram increases in proportion to the number of sub-regions and as the number of sub-regions increases, the sensitivity to facial orientation rotation increases significantly. In this paper, we present a novel facial region segmentation method that can solve in-plane rotation issues associated with LBP based feature descriptors and the number of dimensions of feature descriptors. As a result, the proposed method showed detection accuracy of 99.0278% from a single facial image rotated in orientation.

This paper presents a new TIQ based CMOS flash 6-bit ADC to process digital signal in real time. In order to improve the conversion speed of ADC by designing new logic or layout of ADC circuits, a new design method is proposed in encoding logic circuits. The proposed encoding circuits convert analog input into digitally encoded double base number system(DBNS), which uses two bases unlike the normal binary representation scheme. The DBNS adopts binary and ternary radix to enhance digital arithmetic processing capability. In the DBNS, the addition and multiplication can be processed with just shift operations only. Finding near canonical representation is the most important work in general DBNS. But the main disadvantage of DBNS representation in ADC is the fan-in problem. Thus, an equal distribution algorithm is developed to solve the fan-in problem after assignment the prime numbers first. The conversion speed of simulation result was 1.6 GSPS, at 1.8V power with the Magna $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process, and the maximum power consumption was 38.71mW.

Binary sequences of period $2^n-1$ are widely used in many areas of engineering and sciences. Some well-known applications include coding theory, code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communications, and stream cipher systems. In this paper we analyze different solutions to $x^5+bx^3+b^{2^m}x^2+1=0$ over $GF(2^n)$. The number of different solutions determines frequencies of cross-correlations of nonlinear binary sequences generated by $d=3{\cdot}2^m-2$, n=2m, m=4k($k{\geq}2$). Also we give an algorithm for determination of number of different solutions to the equation.

Recently, ransomware damage has been increasing rapidly around the world, including Irish health authorities and U.S. oil pipelines, and is causing damage to all sectors of society. In particular, research using machine learning as well as existing detection methods is increasing for ransomware detection and response. However, traditional machine learning has a problem in that it is difficult to extract accurate predictions because the model tends to predict in the direction where there is a lot of data. Accordingly, in an imbalance class consisting of a large number of non-Ransomware (normal code or malware) and a small number of Ransomware, a technique for resolving the imbalance and improving ransomware detection performance is proposed. In this experiment, we use two scenarios (Binary, Multi Classification) to confirm that the sampling technique improves the detection performance of a small number of classes while maintaining the detection performance of a large number of classes. In particular, the proposed mixed sampling technique (SMOTE+ENN) resulted in a performance(G-mean, F1-score) improvement of more than 10%.

In this paper, we present a bitwise metric generating function for a binary reflected Gray coded (BRGC) M-PSK signal by means of coordinate rotation. Using the properties of the BRGC mapping, we minimize the number of coordinate rotations. The proposed function does not rely on channel state information (CSI), and provides low implementing complexity.

In this paper, a dynamic contention periods based on the collision group(DCCG) algorithm is proposed for collision resolution in the IEEE 802.16 broadband wireless access network. The DCCG algorithm determines the contention periods according to the a number of collided slot and collided requests to the base station(BS). The DCCG algorithm is useful to improve the performance of throughput and system delay characteristic than binary backoff algorithm.
