상관개념(相關慨念: Correlative Concept)을 적용한 가구디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Furniture Design Using Application of Correlative Concept)

  • Recently, the aspect of consumers' preference for design has been changed to a pattern of respect for personality, based on 'personal value of passion'. The differentiated personal passion of modern people does not allow them to select mass-produced industrial product, and leads them to choose life style different from others. Specially, consumers want to express. their differentiated personality by preferring and possessing the originally designed products. Therefore, the originally designed products that are clearly identifiable become the object of consumers' consideration, and stimulate the consumers' desire to purchase. According to new needs of consumers, it is required to reconsider the old design pattern of furniture based on simplicity and propose new design for furniture to meet the needs of consumers. Mass production has resulted in a strong focus on simplicity rather than difficulty and complexity of the production process. This tendency shows the design pattern that leans toward one side excluding the expression of correlative concept among design elements. This one sided design leads modern people to have no personality, and shows only simple and uniform expression of passion. Therefore, this paper is purposed to develop furniture with more personality by applying correlative concept that has been taken less seriously in the field of design to furniture design.

형태 및 공간분석을 위한 다시점(多視點) 이미지 획득 및 유효성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acquisition of Multi-Viewpoint Image for the Analysis of form and Space and its Effectiveness)

  • This study intends to acquire objective models for basic quantitative analysis of pattern and space through image-recognition technique, and verify the effectiveness of such acquired models. Many experiments showed that the recognized result can be varied depending on the different viewpoints and the analysis based on the single-viewpoint images does not provide objectivity. The experiment using multi-viewpoint image models, which was attempted as an alternative for the disadvantages, showed the recognition similar to that of the actual model. Especially, images generated at laboratory using miniature model may be useful in comparing and understanding plural number of patterns. The models that have been acquired using such images may be hard to use in acquiring images for analyzing actual building patterns or indoor space, although they may be useful in pattern analysis using miniature model. The disadvantage, however, can be supplemented with panorama VR and C. G. simulation technique. Steady researches are required on the application of visual information to the image recognition principle and the model for quantitative analysis of pattern and space in addition to the research on the construction of the model that can be used in comparing and analyzing not only form and space but also miniature models.

Image-based structural dynamic displacement measurement using different multi-object tracking algorithms

  • With the help of advanced image acquisition and processing technology, the vision-based measurement methods have been broadly applied to implement the structural monitoring and condition identification of civil engineering structures. Many noncontact approaches enabled by different digital image processing algorithms are developed to overcome the problems in conventional structural dynamic displacement measurement. This paper presents three kinds of image processing algorithms for structural dynamic displacement measurement, i.e., the grayscale pattern matching (GPM) algorithm, the color pattern matching (CPM) algorithm, and the mean shift tracking (MST) algorithm. A vision-based system programmed with the three image processing algorithms is developed for multi-point structural dynamic displacement measurement. The dynamic displacement time histories of multiple vision points are simultaneously measured by the vision-based system and the magnetostrictive displacement sensor (MDS) during the laboratory shaking table tests of a three-story steel frame model. The comparative analysis results indicate that the developed vision-based system exhibits excellent performance in structural dynamic displacement measurement by use of the three different image processing algorithms. The field application experiments are also carried out on an arch bridge for the measurement of displacement influence lines during the loading tests to validate the effectiveness of the vision-based system.

CORBA 환경에서 멀티미디어 컴퍼넌트 관리 시스템을 통한 프레임워크 구축 (Framework Construction with Multimedia Component Management System on CORBA)

  • 프레임워크는추상화된 클래스들의 집합또는특정 도메인에서 재사용가능한설계를구성하는상호연관된 클래스틀의 집합으로 도메인에 속한 애플리케이션들간의 공통된 아키텍쳐를 정의한다- 프레엄워크를 재사용 함으로 개발자들은 클래스 코드뿐만 아니라 도메인에 대한 폭넓은 도메인 지식을 재사용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프레임워크 재사용을 위해 컴퍼넌트기반의 방법론(COM; Component→Oriented M Methodology)을 제시하고 프레임워크 구축환경을 개발한다. 즉, 컴퍼넌트기반의 소프트웨어 생성을 위해 실세계의 도메인 지식을 입력으로 도메인을 분석하고 분석된 정보를 통해 hotspot을 식별하여 사용자와 개빌 자의 추가정보를 첨가하는 재설계 과정올 거친다. 이후 도메인에 따라 도메인 프레임워크와 애플리케이션 프레임워크를 생성한다 이러한 컴퍼넌트 지향 방법론은 내부적으로는 컴퍼넌트/패턴 라이브러리 저장소를 통해 정보를 검색, 이해하여 추출하거나 혹은 합성으로 얻어진 정보는 각각 컴퍼넌트와 패턴에 대한 정보로 분류되고 이것은 재설계시 추가정보로 사용되어진다. 이로 인해 사용자는 멀티미디어 컴퍼넌트를 이용해 자신의 애플리케이션에 쉽게 적용가능한 개발 환경 즉, 본 논문에서는 CORBA(Common Object Request B Broker Architecture) 환경하에 컴퍼넌트/패턴 관리 시스템(Component Pattern Management System C CPMS)을 통해 멀티 미 디 어 컴 퍼 넌트를 추가 갱 신 삭제하는 기 반 환경 (infrastructure environment)을 구축함 으로 재사용성, 사용의 용이성과 이식성을 가질 수 있다.

  • 비파괴검사는 탐지물체에 물리적 손상을 가하지 않고 내부 정보를 파악할 수 있어 다양한 분야에서 이용되고 있다. 그 중 전자기를 이용한 물체의 형상추정방법의 경우 역 유한요소법을 이용하여야 하지만 이는 비선형성이 강하고 수치계산이 복잡하고 측정 센서의 개수가 미지수의 개수보다 훨씬 적어 정확한 결과를 얻는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 탐지물체에 의한 자기장 변화 신호만을 이용하여, 물체의 시스템 내 각 센서별 위치에서 물체와 등가면적의 원의 비교를 통해 비교적 간편하게 자성물체의 부피를 판정하고 형상추정을 위한 다양한 보정과정을 거쳐 탐지물체의 형상판정이 가능한 알고리즘을 제안하고 검증하였다.

3차원 형상측정을 위한 전자 스페클 등고선 추출법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Elecctronic Speckle Contouring for 3-D Shape Measurement)

  • ESP(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) is an optical technique to measure deforamtion of engineering components and materials in industrial areas. ESPI, a non-contact and non-destructive measuring method, is capable of providing full-field results with high spatial resolution and high speed. One of important application aspects using electronic speckle pattern interferometry is to generate contours of a diffuse object in order to provide data for 3-D shape analysis and topography measurement. The electronic speckle contouring is suitable for providing measurement range from millimeters to several centimeters. In this study, we introduce the contouring method by modified dual-beam speckle pattern interferometer and a shift of the two illumination beams through optical fiber in order to obtain the contour fringe patterns. Before the experiments, we performed the geometric analysis for dual-beam-shifted ESPI contouring. And by this geometric analysis, we performed the electronic speckle contouring experiment. We used 4-frame phase shifting method with PZT for quantitative analysis of contour fringes. Finally, we showed good agreements between the geometric analysis and experimental results.

  • 기존 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스는 분석 단계보다는 설계나 구현 단계만을 강조하고 있으며 서브시스템이 많은 복잡한 비즈니스 애플리케이션 분석 시 분석가의 경험이나 업무 지식의 차이에 따라 스타일과 추상화 레벨이 다른 분석 산출물을 작성하게 된다. 이러한 분석 산출물은 산출물 일관성이나 가독성에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 많은 서브시스템들에 대한 분석을 서로 다른 분석가에 의해서 수행해야 하고 외부 이벤트에 대해 트랜잭션 처리를 룰 기반으로 처리해야 하는 도메인 상에서 객체 기반의 중요 개념을 룰 기반으로 추출하고 그들 간의 상호작용 모델링을 효과적으로 할 수 있는 룰 기반 분석 패턴을 제시한다. 또한 제시한 분석 패턴이 가지는 3개의 핵심 개념들을 기반으로 UML Components 개발 프로세스 상에서 비즈니스 컴포넌트를 개발하는 방법을 은행 수신업무 적용 사례를 통해 제시한다.

객체지향 CASE 도구 OODesigner의 플랫폼 이식 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Platform Migration for an Object-Oriented CASE tool : OODesigner)

  • 소프트웨어 개발 기술이 발전함에 따라 객체지향 CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering)도구의 중요성이 점차 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 객체지향 CASE 도구인 OODesigner[15, 16]를 세가지 플랫폼에서 개발한 공정을 기술하고, 구현된 도구들의 설계 및 구현 결과 유사성을 기술하며, CASE 도구 개발을 위한 설계 및 구현 관점의 일반적인 구조를 제시한다. OODesigner는 초기에 OMT(Object Modeling Technique)를 지원하기 위한 목적으로 1994년부터 개발되기 시작하였으며, 1997년에 Unix 버전이 완성된 이후 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 지원하는 Java 버전과 Windows 버전의 개발이 이루어졌다. CASE 도구 개발은 Model-View-Controller(MVC)패러다임을 적용하는 전형적인 예라고 볼 수 있으며 구현 결과 MVC 관점에서 세가지 버전들의 공통된 설계 패턴들을 얻을 수 있었다, 이러한 설계의 유사성들은 해당되는 설계 표기법을 지원하는 다양한 CASE 도구의 개발을 사용될 수 있다.

미국대학생의 한국전통문양에 대한 선호도와 구매의도 및 감성이미지와의 관계 (The Preference and Purchase Intention of American College Students on Korean Traditional Motifs and Their Relationship with Sensibility)

  • The objectives of this study were to measure the preference and purchase intention on Korean traditional motifs and to investigate the relationship among preference, purchase intention, and sensibility. The subjects consisted of 217 male and 351 female US undergraduate students. The experimental materials used in this study were 48 stimuli and a questionnaire, composed of 7-point semantic differential scales of 17 bi-polar adjectives. The data were analyzed by ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, Regression, and t-test. The major findings were as follows; First, interpretation type and application object had significant effects on the preference, while category and interpretation type had significant effects on the purchase intension. The application of Korean traditional motifs for pattern design was preferred to their application for clothing design. Decorative type was found to be more related to the preference and purchase intention than the other interpretation types of realistic, stylized and abstract types. The purchase intention on crain motif was lower than the other categories of lotus and cloud motifs. Second, in overall, the preference on Korean traditional motifs was higher than purchase intention. Third, the preference and purchase intention were affected mainly by 'Quality' image, a component of sensibility, followed by 'Cheerfulness' image, but not affected by 'Simplicity' and 'Modernity' image.

호텔 객실에서의 전통성 표현에 관한 연구 - 국내외 특급호텔 사례분석을 중심으로 - (A Comparative Study on the Expression of the Traditionality in Hotel Guest Room Design - Focused on the Asian Top Grade Hotels -)

  • This study focuses on comparative study of the representation of 'traditionality' in Asian hotel guest rooms. Hotel can be a concentration of the country's culture and tradition and provide unique experience to guests through its space, decoration, and material. However, most hotels in Korea are lack of a strong identity based on the Korean culture and tradition, due to adoptation of the western hotel styles without any criticism. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression methods of the traditionality in Asian hotel guest rooms to provide design guideline to enhance identity of hotel guest rooms in Korea. Through analysis of the previous researches, criteria of the three design application methods and the five design elements were defined to analyze the representation of the traditonality. Design application methods were categorized as "Original form", "Partial adoption", and "Metaphor". Five design elements include "Shape", "Material", "Color", "Object", and "Pattern". Thirty nine Asian hotels containing the traditional design elements were explored in the study. In result, design application methods in Korea used all three methods equally, while other Asian countries used mainly the Partial adoption and Metaphor methods to express their traditions rather than the Original form method. All five deign elements were mostly used in case of the Original form methods, and two or three elements among five elements were used for the Partial adoption and Metaphor methods. The traditional representation of hotel guest rooms in Korea, reflecting current thinking, living pattern and culture, will be a solution for the new hotel design as well as elevation of Korea's status to a higher level.
