  • The main goal of this study is to investigate how to route a question to some relevant users who have interest in the topic of the question based on users' topic interest. In order to assess users' topic interest, archived question-answer pairs in the community were used to identify latent topics in the chosen categories using LDA. Then, these topic models were used to identify users' topic interest. Furthermore, the topics of newly submitted questions were analyzed using the topic models in order to recommend relevant answerers to the question. This study introduces the process of topic modeling to investigate relevant users based on their topic interest.

First, subjective age was identified with interest age, look age, and physical age. Customers were segmented into following five subdivisions: young activity group, actual age group, young appearance group, physical aging group and youth-oriented group. When the study examined differences between real age and subjective age, the study could see that they perceived themselves younger four years than real age- 50s: 7 years, 40s: 5 years, the latter half of 30s: 2.7 years and the former half of 30s: 1.7 years. Second, clothing shopping orientation was identified with planned shopping orientation, leisure shopping orientation, loyal shopping orientation, economic shopping orientation and convenient shopping orientation. Customers were segmented into following three subdivisions: shopping low-involved group, loyal leisure group and planned leisure oriented group. Third, interest age was of no relevance to clothing shopping orientation. On the other hand, look age had negative correlation with leisure shopping orientation and convenient shopping orientation and physical age had a negative relationship with leisure shopping orientation and loyal shopping orientation but had positive correlation with economic shopping orientation. Fourth, in clothing purchase, clothing purchase answerers who were younger five years than actual age had the highest frequency. • Even through many professional organizations increasingly use Q&A sites in their online communities for information sharing, there are few studies which examine what is really going on in the Q&A activities in professional online communities (POC). This study aims to examine the interaction patterns and contents posted in the Q&A site of a POC, KOSEN, a science and technology online community in South Korea, focusing on how actively scientific information and knowledge are shared. The interaction patterns among the participants were identified through social network analysis (SNA) and the contents in the Q&As were examined by content analysis. The results show that the overall network indicated a moderate level of participation and connection and answerers especially tended to be active. Also, there are different interaction patterns depending on academic fields. Relatively few participants were posting leaders who seemed to steer the overall interactions. Furthermore, some content related to manipulation and explanation for experiments, which are in urgent need, seem to be posted in the sites more frequently with more amounts. Combining both SNA and content analysis, this study demonstrated how actively information and knowledge is shared and what types of contents are exchanged. The findings have practical implications for POC managers and practitioners.

  • DUR (Drug Utilization Review) originally referred to the evaluation of drug usage details: however DUR refers to the system used to support the services of prescribing and dispensing through linking from Health Insurance Review and Assessment (HIRA) Service in Korea. HIRA is going to begin the DUR enforcement for extending to nationwide coverage after pilot test. Objectives: The aims for this study were to evaluate and clarify the current opinions of the pharmacists for the recognition and acceptance rates before nationwide coverage concerning DUR system. Methods: A 16-question-questionnaire was developed and pilot tested. For 40 days of survey by both on-line and fax paper, it was carried out on 80 pharmacists working at community pharmacy in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Results: Most of answers were broadly positive and interested in begining the DUR system and kept in mind that the goal of DUR is safety guarantee for people. On the other hand, most of answerers worry that delay of patient waiting time and inharmonious communication with doctors in DUR processing can be a major obstacle to begin the DUR system. Conclusion: To solve several problems, the most important things are to make good reciprocal relationships between doctors and pharmacists, investigate intervention tool to shorten patient waiting time, and activate educational program of inspecting items for the pharmacists.

  • Question taxonomy is one of main approaches to understand the questioner's information need so that we can assign relevant answerers to the question submitted by the user. The goal of this study is to investigate question taxonomy of question and answering services, which are available online and in libraries and understand the characteristics of question answering services by type. In order to achieve the goal, this study examines the types of questions appeared in literature, specifically focusing on social reference, question answering systems, and reference services, and then provides a summary of question taxonomy found in question answering services.

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze difficulty analyzed through a quantitative method examining rate of correct answerers to each questions in the side of difficulty that students solving questions felt by finding variables to predict difficulty of questions in an objective way, not in an intuitive way, and examining what variables difficulty that each student solving questions felt depended on. The study divided 6 students in the 3rd grade of a high school into a two-person group or a three-person group and observed their question-solving process the total 11times for three months from March, to May. The study an alyzed what variables difficulty that each student felt depended on through semi-structuralized interview. As a result, the study could see that difficulty of questions depended on contents, strangeness of material, behavioral range, type of questions and complexity of questions.

The questionnaire is composed of 17 questions and used 151 out of 152 copies as the final data, except for one insufficient reply. The analysis method carried out a technological statistics such as frequency count, percentage, average and t-test for every questions, used by SPSS 20.0. The investigation result is as follows; The overall numbers of answerers were 151 people, 36 male and 115 female, and showed that they purchase accessaries of less than 20,000won in a jewelry shop. • The purpose of this study were to identify the importance of father’s roles on children. A survey was carried out on 458(227 boys and 231 girls) 6th-graders at randomly chosen 4 elementary schools in Kwangju. Frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation and Pearson’s coefficient were checked and one-way ANOVA, Duncan’s multiple range test and multiple regression analysis were also carried out on the collected data. The results were as follows; 1. Evaluation of fathers’role performance depending on background variables ranged from 46.17 to 58.51 points(equivalent to 61.56∼78.01 points in the 100-point scale). Background variables that caused statistically significant difference were children’s sex, fathers’religion (whether they had one or not) fathers’education, monthly family income and decision-makers at home. The degrees of fathers’role performance were higher when the answerers were girls, when fathers had religions, when fathers educational level was higher, when the family income was higher, and when all family members participated in the decision-making. 2. Evaluation of children’s achievement motivation depending on background variables ranged from 77.17 to 84.34 points( equivalent to 68.90∼75.35 points in the 100-point scale). Background variables that caused statistically significant differences were children∼s sex and decision-makers at home. Children∼s achievement motivation were higher in the case of girls and when all family members participated in the decision-making. 3. When it comes to the children’s achievement motivation in relation to father’s role performance, 1)The overall aspect of fathers’ role performance caused significant differences in children’s achievement motivation. 2) The influence of fathers’role performance on children’s achievement motivation was highest in the investigation-faciliator role (${\beta}$=2.5) and then the economic role (${\beta}$=.14) and the valuetransmitter role (${\beta}$=.14).
