  • This study was done to examine parents, peer, teacher attachment, depression, and self-conception in adolescents. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 2,3 grade students of middle school located in 137 subjects. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis with the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. There was a significant difference in parents attachment(F=13.878, p<.001), peer attachment(F=7.431, p<.001), teacher attachment(F=7.425, p<.001), depression(F=13.241, p<.001), and self-conception(F=13.136, p<.001) according to participants' school grades. In the correlations of study variables, self-conception showed statistically significant correlations with parents, peer and teacher attachment in aspects of positive, and depression in aspect of negative. Participants' depression explained 61% of variance in self-conception. Findings from this study should be useful in the development of programs to promote participants' self-concept through their depression as a major problem in adolescent mental health.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of backward walking training on the balance capability(Functional Gait Assessment; FGA, Timed Up & Go Test; TUG) and gait performance(10 meter Walking Test; 10 mWT) of stroke patients. Eighteen with stroke patients were randomly allocated to an experimental and contral group of nine patients each. both groups received general neurorehabilitative physical therapy for 45 minutes per day 5 times per week during 4 weeks. The experimental group also performed additional backward walking training for 20 minutes per day 3 times per week during 4 weeks. There were signicantly increase by backward walking training in outcome of the balance capability from the FGA was increase from $17.67{\pm}1.00scores$ to $19.22{\pm}1.00scores$(p<.05), TUG was decrease from $26.45{\pm}1.37sec$ to $23.28{\pm}1.35sec$(p<.05) and 10 mWT was decreased from $21.74{\pm}1.35sec$ to $18.33{\pm}1.10sec$ (p<.05). These result suggest that backward walking training for stroke patients is effective in improving balance capability(FGA, TUG) and gait performance(10 mWT).

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between parenting experiences of married immigrant women and their mental health including self-esteem and depression. Data came from 471 married immigrant women with a child who participated in the home visiting program for children of multicultural families provided by Multicultural Family Support Centers. The results indicated that, the mothers' self-esteem was related to their perceptions of parenting, parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and social support. In addition, the mothers' depression was associated with their proficiency in Korean, household income, perception of parenting, parenting stress, knowledge on child development, marital satisfaction, and social support. These findings suggest that the parenting experiences of married immigrant women are closely related to their mental health. Parenting education programs that increase parenting efficacy and reduce parenting stress would be helpful to improve the mental health of married immigrant women.

  • This research aim is to investigate the rate and pattern of re-using the four-digit personal identification numbers(PINs). 1313 types of PINs were observed by 224 students who took this author's classes from last 2006 to 2011 at A-university. Some students used PINs as few as 3-4 and as many as 12-13. The average is 5.86 per person. The rates of re-using PINs were calculated by each student. 87%(195/224) of students reused PINs and 64% of them reused with just only one type of PINs, 20% reused with 2 types, and about 3% reused with 3-4 types. With respect to PINs, 884 out of the total 1313 PINs were reused, that is around 64.3%. In a broad sense, a pair of slight modification of PINs were also observed, that is, new PINs were partly matched in position or size of numbers of previous PINs. And if the reuse rate falling under the slight modification of PINs, 10.4% is added, about 75% of the PINs were reused in a broad sense. The re-using rate of male students is higher than the one of female students. This paper's results may provide to make plan for hacks of passwords.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence and to describe the correlation between the working period and musculoskeletal diseases of 119 rescuers. We conducted 485 surveys from 547 rescuers working in Gyeonggi-do from November 5 to December 20, 2011. The collected data were analyzed by cross tabulation analysis, chi-square test, and correlation analysis using PASW 18.0. The p value was set at p<.05. The prevalence of musculoskeletal diseases, 328(67.6%) rescuers suffering from musculoskeletal diseases. General characteristics included gender(p<.01), age(p<.01), marriage(p<.001),household chores(p<.05), working period(p<.001). The correlation between physical loading of subjects and musculoskeletal diseases was significant(p<.001). The rescuers felt the pain at lower back(36.4%), shoulders(19.2%), neck(14.9%), hip/ankles(13.2%), hand/wrist/fingers(12.0%), elbow(4.3%). • It was just over 20 years ago that the victim who had been seen as the forgotten man in criminal justice system for a long time started to participate in criminal proceedings and state his opinion. Other countries such as America and Japan provide crime victims with the opportunity to state freely about facts of damage as well as their opinions in criminal proceedings at present. However, Korea gives the victim the right of statement as a witness, though the statement of crime victim's opinion is the constitutional right. That is, as crime victims are not free from perjury they cannot actively state their views. Meanwhile, if the freedom of crime victims' statement is guaranteed in law and victims can state opinions with their own voice, victims' statement of opinion will help the victims treat and relieve their psychological damages. For these reasons, it is desirable that Korea, like the U.S. and Japan, gives crime victims the right to state their opinion without fear of perjury in criminal proceedings not as witnesses but as the aggrieved party.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the immediate effects of spiral taping applied to an affected leg on gait ability in stroke patients. Forty two stroke patients were divided into a spiral taping group (n=21) and a quadriceps femoris group (n=21), and each taping method was applied. Spatiotemporal Gait Parameters (Cadence, speed, gait cycle duration, stance phase duration, double support duration) were measured using the 10-meter walk test, the dynamic gait index (DGI) and an accelerometer for both groups. Both groups showed a significant increase in a 10-minute walk, the DGI, cadence, speed before and after the intervention, whereas no significant difference was detected in stance phase duration, gait cycle duration and double support duration on the affected side in all groups. All groups revealed no significant difference in variation. It has been found that the two taping methods augment gait ability in patients with stroke. This study suggests that spiral taping can be an easily applicable method at home.

  • The role of smartphones is changing from a communication system for exchanging calls and information into a universal platform for cultural services. Also, satisfaction for mobile application services on smartphones is a very important factor in the smart business. In This paper, we analyze the effects of the outcome, service scape, costs, and especially the impact of whether costumers having to pay or free for the app on customer satisfaction. For this purpose, we analyzed survey data on service quality of mobile app service from Chinese mobile app service users. We also analyzed the moderating effects of paid and free mobile app services. As a result, it was confirmed that the quality, servicescape quality and cost of mobile app service that customers perceive have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, the effect of the cost of mobile app service perceived by the customer on customer satisfaction showed that free mobile app service was more significant than paid mobile app service. This paper can be used as an alternative to monetization for providing a mobile app service provider or a mobile app service provider who wants to switch mobile app service from free to paid service.
