간호대학생의 완벽주의와 학업탄력성이 전공만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perfectionism and Academic Resilience on the Level of Students' Satisfaction with Nursing Major)

  • Purpose: This study observes the degrees of perfectionism (both self-oriented and socially-prescribed perfectionism), academic resilience, and satisfaction with major in nursing students and identifies the influence of perfectionism and academic resilience on satisfaction with major. Methods: Data from 115 second or third-year students in a nursing were collected for two months at different three universities. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Satisfaction with major was higher for second year students compared to third year students. And the satisfaction was higher for those with a higher Grade point average (${\geq}_-3.5$) compared to those with a lower. Self-oriented perfectionism had a higher score than socially-prescribed perfectionism and academic resilience based on self-control was rated the highest score of the subcategories. The degree of satisfaction was positively correlated with Self-oriented perfectionism and academic resilience. The final regression model showed that grade and academic resilience accounted for 34.2% of the variance in predicting the level of satisfaction with major. Conclusion: The results suggest that it is crucial to find a strategy that could enhance academic resilience, especially designed for upper-year university students, to improve the level of satisfaction with major.

수학과 단계형 수준별 교육과정 편성.운영에 관한 연구 (A Study of Formation & Application of step-wise level curriculum of Mathematics)

  • The seventh curriculum put into operation gradually from first-year student in 2000 academic years of elementary school is subject to form and apply a step-wise level curriculum. Mathematics(correspond to junior high school course from 7th school year to 9th school year) should apply a step-wise level curriculum from 7th school year in 2001 academic years. Accordingly, mathematics teachers must diagnose actual conditions of educations, distribution tables of test results, step-wise teaching-studying programs etc. They also make proper plans suitable for actual situations of each school, prepare appropriate teaching materials and aids. I investigated preceding studies planned for preparation of putting into operation of a step-wise level curriculum. It showed that most of the studies were conducted at schools of medium or large scale and studies conducted at schools of small scale was rare. There were 113 small scale middle schools out of total 297 middle schools in Kyongsangbuk-do area in 2000. In this situation, I felt necessities of modeling of a step-wise level curriculum suitable for small scale schools. In this study, I modeled a step-wise level curriculum suitable for small scale middle schools, applied this model to 44 students in M middle school. I modeled two types of curriculum. One is a step-wise level curriculum that execute special supplementation process to students who do not complete 7-가 step successfully. The other is a step-wise level curriculum which is a regular model for a step-wise level of 7-나 step. I carried out an academic achievement test and intimacy test about mathematics before and after the application of the model. In this study, I found out that this model was very effective in academic achievement of students and helpful to declined students in scholarship. In the intimacy test, It was found out that most of the students gained confidence in mathematics, felt less anxiety, formed positive self consciousness. Therefore, I think that this model will be helpful to the application of the seventh step-wise level curriculum.

The Effects of Critical Friends on the Self-Esteem and Academic Oral Presentation Ability of Teacher Students

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of critical friends on self-esteem and the academic oral presentation ability of undergraduate students. A pretest was conducted in the first week of the semester. A pre-academic oral presentation preparation was held from the second week to the seventh week and followed by pedagogical speech activities from the eighth week to the eleventh week. The research instruments are Academic oral presentation behavior and self-esteem evaluation forms. The samples were 37 third year undergraduate students, who were purposively selected from the educational technology class at the Chulalongkorn University. The statistics used for analyzing quantitative data are frequencies, means, standard deviations, one sample t-tests, and Pearson's Product-Moment Correlations. It was found that the 37 third year undergraduate teacher students had higher self-esteem at the statistically significant level of .05 and academic oral presentation scores after the activity were statistically significant at the .05 level.

응급구조사의 자격과 면허에 대한 소고 (A Legal Consideraton of License and Certified Qualification of Paramedics)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the legal concept of a license and a qualification for health care personnel. We analyze the appropriateness of the qualification for the first-class paramedics and the sufficiency of 3-year job experience in substitution for college level academic major. Method: We reviewed Laws on Healthcare which stipulate academic and career qualifications for healthcare personnel for whom college-level academic training and job experience to get a license. Results: There is no legal consideration which permits major and educational background substituted by job experience. Only third-class hygienist who graduated from a high school or the equivalent with 3 year job experience can apply for first-class hygienist' national license examination without educational requirements. However, it is nothing to compare with first-class paramedics because the work of hygienist is not directly related to patients care and there is no need of doctor's supervision for hygienist' job. Paramedics have a major role in saving emergency patients in making prompt decision, applying appropriate emergency treatment, securing intravenous route, managing intubation, applying defibrillator, and etc. Conclusion: Ministry of Health & Welfare should grant license to paramedics and annul replacement of academic major background. In addition, it is imperative to broaden the scope of paramedics' job so that they can guarantee patient's life saving in emergency situation with quality major curriculum of college level.

대학입학전형 관련 요인에 따른 간호학과 1학년의 학업성취 분석 : 일 대학 간호학과를 대상으로 (Nursing Student Academic Achievement depending on College Entrance System-related Factors)

  • Purpose: This study aims to understand the influence of college entrance system-related factors and scores of college scholastic ability test on a first year nursing student's academic achievement. Method: Data collected include both a descriptive survey designed to assess college entrance system-related factors with respect to 182 nursing students attending a 4-year nursing college program and their test scores in the first year. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test with Bonferroni's correction, and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient through an SPSS 18.0 program. Results: Student academic achievement with regard to college entrance system-related factors exhibited significant divergence from first year grade point averages (hereafter GPA) and natural science grades. Conclusion: This study confirmed the existence of significant differences, depending on the factors regarding the college entrance system. As a result, conducting assessment to evaluate the level of basic knowledge before college entrance is highly recommended. Also recommended is the development of a support program for students projected to have difficulties with respect to their academic achievement.

Operation Situation of Academic Credit Bank System for Academic Degree of Cosmetology & Academic Research Trends

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation situation & academic research trends in Seoul and Gyeonggi area, based on theoretical consideration on academic credit bank system, focusing on academic credit bank system where a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university produces graduates with associate's degree. To find out about how academic credit bank institutes are operated in cosmetology field, the analysis of literature review was used, in reference to the literatures as well as administrative data from the Ministry of Education and institutes for lifelong education with respect to academic credit bank system. Further, dissertations and articles in journals were also reviewed for analysis, in order to see academic research trends with respect to academic credit bank system in cosmetology, and finally to provide the directions for a follow-up study in the future. It was found that about 120 junior colleges have cosmetology departments, while only about 20 4-year universities have them, where lifelong education systems such as lifelong education are essential for learners to have bachelor's degree to go to a graduate school in reality. Every year more people want to learn and acquire the degree through a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university. In this regard, it is thought that there should be first positive social awareness towards a degree recipient from such educations and more administrative promotion and active engagement of government, businesses and schools, in order to vitalize academic credit bank system. Meanwhile, there are only about 10 academic literatures including the dissertations on the operation of academic credit bank system with respect to cosmetology, which is not sufficient number in academic research, compared to the increasing number of people who want to acquire the degree. Most of the preceding studies have been limited to education services and learners' satisfaction level. Therefore, continuous follow-up study is required on how to improve social awareness as well as teachers and instructors' satisfaction level, as well as how to develop industry-customized curriculum, in order to ensure active academic credit bank system.

특성화고등학교 학생의 수업몰입과 교사의 사회적지지의 관계 (The Relationship between Social Support of Teachers and Academic Engagement of Specialized Vocational High School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 특성화고등학교 학생의 특성을 이해하는데 필요한 정보를 제공하고, 교사의 사회적지지를 통해 학생들의 수업몰입도를 높이며, 담임교사의 생활지도 및 전략적 학급경영 방법에 대한 정보를 제공하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 학생의 수업몰입 측정도구(21문항)와 교사의 사회적지지 측정도구(25문항)로 구성된 설문지를 통해 전국 5개 권역 11개교의 공업계열 특성화고등학교 학생 990명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특성화고등학교 학생의 수업몰입 수준은 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 그러나 행동몰입, 인지몰입에 비해 감정몰입 수준이 낮게 나타난 결과는 질적인 측면의 개선이 요구된다. 성별에 따른 수업몰입 수준에는 차이가 없었으나 학년에 따라서는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 인지몰입 요인과 감정몰입 요인에서 1학년 학생이 2, 3학년 학생 보다 몰입 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 평가적 지지와 도구적 지지가 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 수업몰입 수준에는 차이가 없었으나 학년에 따라서는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 특성화고등학교 교사의 사회적지지는 보통 수준이며, 평가적지지, 도구적지지, 정보적지지, 정서적지지 순으로 학생들에게 제공되고 있었다. 셋째, 특성화고등학교 교사의 사회적지지가 학생의 수업몰입에 주는 정적인 영향과 높은 상관관계, 그 설명력 모두 높은 결과를 얻었다. 더욱이 수업몰입의 질적인 측면에 있어 교사의 정서적지지가 높은 상관도와 설명력을 보였다. 따라서 교사의 사회적지지는 학생의 수업몰입 수준 향상에 도움을 주고 학교생활에 대한 적응력과 만족감을 갖게 하여, 정서발달과 자아형성에 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

컴퓨터 및 스마트폰 활용이 중학생의 창의성과 학업성취도의 종단적 변화에 미치는 영향 (Analysis of longitudinal relations between creativity, academic achievements, and utilization of computer & smartphone of middle school students)

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터와 스마트폰 활용이 중학생의 창의성과 학업성취도의 종단적 변화에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 2013-2015년에 시행한 서울교육종단연구 4-6차년도 자료를 활용하여 잠재성장모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 중학교 1학년 시기에 컴퓨터 및 스마트폰의 활용이 많은 학생일수록 창의성과 학업성취도가 높았다. 그러나 학년이 올라감에 따라 컴퓨터 및 스마트폰의 활용 증가율은 창의성 증가율과는 정적인 관계를 나타냈지만, 통계적으로 유의한 수준은 아니었고, 학업성취도 증가율과는 부적인 관계를 나타내었다. 또한, 중학교 1학년 시기에는 창의성이 높은 학생이 학업성취도 또한 높았지만 이러한 경향은 학년이 올라감에 따라 유의하지 않았다.

잠재집단분석방법을 통한 공과대학 학생들의 성별, 학년별, 공학인증제 프로그램 선택에 따른 공학 창의성 유형 탐색 (Exploring the Patterns of Engineering College Students' Engineering-Related Creativity by Gender, Academic Year, and Engineering Education Accreditation Program through Latent Class Analysis)

  • 이 연구에서는 공과대학생들의 공학 창의성이 성별, 학년, 공학교육인증 참여 여부와의 관련성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구목적을 살펴보면 첫째, Rasch 분석을 사용하여 연구에 사용된 공학 창의성 검사도구의 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인하였으며, 둘째, 삼원분산분석을 사용하여 성별, 학년별, 공학교육인증 참여 유부별로 공학 창의성의 수준을 비교하였다. 셋째, 공학 창의성 요소간의 상관관계를 확인하였으며, 넷째, 잠재집단분석(poLCA)을 활용하여 공학 창의성에 따라 구분되는 잠재집단들을 규명하고, 규명된 잠재집단과 성별, 학년별, 공학교육인증 참여가 관계가 있는지 살펴보았다. 연구에는 2098명의 공과대학 재학생이 참여하였으며, 4개의 하위 구인으로 이루어진 공학 창의성 검사도구를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 라쉬 분석결과 공학 창의성 검사도구의 타당성과 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 삼원분산분석 결과 공학창의성은 성별에 따라 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으며, 학년의 경우 창의적 인지 외의 모든 구인에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 공학교육인증제 프로그램은 공학 창의성의 선택 여부는 유의미한 차이가 타나나지 않았다. 상관관계 분석 결과 공학 창의성 요소들은 상호 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 공학 창의성 요소를 근거로 잠재집단을 확인한 결과, 공과대학 학생들에게는 3가지의 공학 창의성 잠재집단이 발견되었으며, 1학년과 여학생일수록 공학 창의성이 가장 낮은 잠재집단에 소속될 확률이 높았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 공과대학생들의 창의성 교육에 대해 논의해보고자 한다.

간호대학생의 간호학 학습성과 성취도와 중요도 인식 (The Recognition of Achievement and Importance of Nursing Program Outcome among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition of achievement and importance of nursing program outcome among nursing students. Methods: The survey was performed with 439 nursing student and recruited from 3-year or 4-year nursing students, scheduled to graduate from university. The data was collected by questionnaires and was analyzed with SPSS statistics 19.0. Results: The achievement of nursing program outcome was 3.28. and the important of that was 4.38. The achievement of nursing program outcome on critical thinking and communication of 4-year nursing students were higher than 3-year nursing students. Achievement of program outcome were significantly different according to satisfaction of curriculum, club activity and voluntary activity. Conclusion: These findings indicate that outcome-based nursing curriculum is need to consider the importance and achievement level of program outcome for nursing students.
