In this paper, a novel method of jig-saw puzzle matching is proposed using a modifided boundary matching algorithm without a priori knowledge for the matched puzzle. Specifically, a boundary tracking algorithm is utilised to segment each puzzle from low-resolution image data. Segmented puzzle is described via corner point, angle and distance between two adjacent coner point, and convexity and/or concavity of corner point. Proposed algorithm is implemented and tested in IBM PC and PC version vision system, and applied successfully to real jig-saw puzzles.

본 논문은 점 확산 함수 데이터베이스를 이용한 실시간 디지털 자동초점 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방식은 영상 입력 장치의 광학계가 갖는 점 확산 함수 정보로 구성되어 있는 데이터베이스를 사용해서 입력영상의 원하는 영역에 영상복원을 수행한 뒤, 이에 대한 복원 성능을 평가함으로써, 해당 점확산함수의 신뢰성을 검증한다. 이러한 방식으로 얻어진 점확산함수 집합으로부터 최적의 점 확산 함수를 적용하여, 전체 입력영상에 대한 복원을 수행함으로써 기존의 자동초점 기능을 대신한다. 또한 복원 영상에서 발생하는 잡음 및 링잉 효과의 억제를 위하여 적응적 링잉제거 필터를 포함한다. 이러한 방식을 기본으로 본 논문에서는 소형 카메라 모듈에서 사용할 수 있는 연산 부하가 적은 디지털 자동초점 기술을 제안한다.

본 연구를 통하여 3차원 자력역산 소프트웨어 시작품(KMag3D, 가칭)을 개발하고 개발 시 역점사항을 사용자 매뉴얼 형식으로 소개하였다. KMag3D는 다음 두 가지 사항을 기본 뼈대로 구성되었다. 첫째, 지금까지 자력역산에 일반적으로 적용되는 최소제곱법에 의한 방법 대신 대수적 재구성법에 기반한 알고리즘을 도입하였다. 이는 계산시간과 기억용량을 획기적으로 줄여 3차원 자력역산을 매우 효율적으로 수행한다. 둘째, 대수적 재구성법에 의한 3차원 역산에 필요한 초기모형과 사전정보 모형을 결정하는 데 2차원 수치모델링 및 역산 집합과 주향방향 내삽을 이용하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이는 3차원 역산 알고리즘에 사전정보를 효율적으로 적용하며 특히 매우 실용적임을 보여주었다.

This paper is on weighted model reduction using structurally balanced truncation. For a given weighted(single or double-sided) transfer function, a state space realization with the linear fractional transformation form is obtained. Then we prove that two block diagonal LMI(linear matrix inequality) solutions always exist, and it is possible to get a reduced order model with guaranteed stability and a priori error bound. Finally, two examples are used to show the validity of proposed weighted reduction method, and the method is compared with other existing methods.

This paper introduced a scheme for finding the relationships between the measurements and tracks in multi-target tracking (MTT). We considered the relationships between targets and measurements as MRF and assumed a priori as a Gibbs distribution. An energy function is defined over the measurement space, as accurately as possible so that it may incorporate most of the important natural constraints. To find the minimizer of the energy function, we derived a new equation of closed form.

본 연구는 음성 인터넷 서비스를 위하여 기존의 HTML 컨텐츠를 자동으로 VXML 컨텐츠로 변환하여 사용하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 문서 변환은 HTML 문서의 해석과 내용 분리에 앞서 컨텐츠의 선택이 필수적으로 요구되지만, 이미 알고 있고, 관심이 있는 내용의 집단적 선택에 대하여는 아직까지 좋은 해법이 없어 보인다. 본 논문에서는 비구조적 데이터로 구성된 웹 문서로부터 필요한 정보 묶음을 선택하기 위하여 웹 문서에 포함된 문자열, 구조에 대한 사용자의 사전 지식을 상호 반응적으로 사용하는 방법을 제안하며, 이를 구현하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다. 제안하는 방식은 기존의 구조적 방식에 의한 선택보다 사용자의 의도를 정확히 반영하며, 문서 표현의 구현 기법의 변화에 강건한 장점이 있다. 또한 컨텐츠 분리 측면에서는 XML또는 XHTML 문서변환을 중간 과정으로 사용하는 방식에 비하여 시간적으로 빠르며, 변환 과정의 부담이 작다.

데이터 탐색법 중 가장 널리 알려진 이진법은 평균과 최악의 경우 $O(log_2n)$, 보간법은 평균 $O(log_2log_2n)$, 최악의 경우 O(n)의 수행 복잡도를 갖고 있다. 또한 기존의 보간탐색법은 사전정보없이 킷값이 확률적으로 위치한 정보에 근거하여 탐색을 한다. 본 논문에서는 데이터의 MSB 인덱스를 블록으로 하는 블록탐색법으로 해당 블록범위를 결정하고, 블록 내에서는 보간법을 적용하여 탐색하는 하이브리드 블록과 보간탐색 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 블록탐색법의 사전 정보를 활용하여 탐색범위를 축소시키고 축소된 탐색범위내에서 무정보 방법으로 탐색하는 방법으로 평균과 최악의 경우 모두 수행복잡도는 $O(log_2log_2n_i)$, $n_i{\simeq}0.1n$으로 보간탐색법의 평균 수행복잡도에 비해 10배 정도 시간을 단축시킬 수 있다.

This paper deals with a predator-prey model with Holling type III response function and cross-diffusion subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. We first give a priori estimates (positive upper and lower bounds) of positive steady states. Then the non-existence and existence results of non-constant positive steady states are given as the cross-diffusion coefficient is varied, which means that stationary patterns arise from cross-diffusion.

A new time-domain FIR parameter estimation called the receding horizon least square estimation (RHLSE) is suggested for stochastic systems by combining the well known least square estimation with the receding horizon strategy. It can be always obtained without the requirement of any \textit{a priori} information about the horizon initial parameter. A fast algorithm for the suggested estimation is also presented which is remarkable in the view of computational advantage and simple implementation. It is shown that the proposed estimation is robust against temporary modeling uncertainties due to their FIR structure through simulation studies.

This study models mobile communication channels as a discrete finite Markovian process, and Markovian jump linear system having parallel Kalman filter type is applied. What is newly proposed in this paper is an equation for obtaining the transition matrix according to sampling time by using a weighted Gaussian sum approximation and its simple calculation process. Experiments show that the proposed method has superior performance and reuires computation compared to the existing MJLS using the ransition matrix given by a statistical method or from priori information.
