Evaluation Indicators for Learning Company Participating Work-Study Parallel Program (일학습병행 학습기업 평가지표)

  • The Work-Study parallel program has been promoted as a key policy to resolve the mismatch between industrial sites and school education and realize a competency-centered society, and as of December 2022, 16,664 companies participated in the training. Learning companies play a very important role as education and training supply organizations that conduct field training. In this study, for the evaluation of learning companies participating in work-study program, the authors derive important factors that determine the quality of on-site education and training by analyzing the cognitive structure of experts in charge of the company and present evaluation indicators for learning enterprises. Therefore, it is intended to lay the foundation for promoting the quality of work-study parallel program.

A Typology of Female Workers' Work-Life Balance: Focused on Full-Time Female Paid Workers Using the 2009 Korean Time Survey (여성 근로자의 일과 삶의 균형 유형화 : 전일제 여성 임금근로자를 중심으로)

  • This study classified the current work-life balance of full-time female paid workers and tested the typology by using the 2009 Korean Time Survey. The categorization demographic and psychological characteristics of women belonging to each type were comparatively analyzed. It was found that full-time female paid workers used an average of 435.7 minutes for work, 146.4 minutes for family, 104.5 minutes for leisure, and 17.7 minutes for growth. On the basis of times used in each area of work and life, individuals were classified into family-oriented type, work-leisure parallel type, work-oriented type, work-growth parallel type, and work-family parallel type. Psychological characteristics were examined by type. The work-oriented type women experienced feelings of lack of time and fatigue the most compared with women of other types. From examining the influence that the amount of time used in each area of work and life had on psychological characteristics, it was shown that the activity time relevant to leisure influenced psychological characteristics the most. Lastly, based on the limitations of this study, future assignments are discussed.

Analysis of Performance on On-Offline Mixed Education and Training of Degree-linked Work-study Parallel System Focusing on Flipped Learning - (학위연계형 일학습병행제 온오프 혼합 교육훈련의 성과분석 - 플립러닝을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzes the performance of flipped learning, an offline class method conducted in a degree-linked work-learning parallel system. Training in the work-study parallel system, which is conducted as part of job competency improvement, has thoroughly adhered to the offline method, but in line with COVID-19, unlike before, it is changing in the direction of using the online method more actively. However, educational methods such as flipped learning are not new because the degree-linked operation is applied to the academic system and education method of universities and is practically the same form as general university education. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the educational performance and complementary points of flipped learning, which has recently been expanded in the degree-linked work-study parallel system, considering the characteristics of this system, in which classes are held only on weekends. As a result of statistical analysis based on the survey, some of the outcomes of flipped learning have been confirmed, and in order to increase the performances, it is necessary to continuously seek out specific measures to encourage learning and expand communication between instructors and students.

A Study on the Reasons for Participation in the Training of the Work-Learning Parallel Program (중소기업 일·학습병행제의 훈련 참여 이유에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, parallel work-learning training, which was started in 2013 as a pre-employment promotion policy, is an important factor that determines the success or failure of training. As a time when various institutional supplementation is needed to encourage company participation, this study is to identify the factors of participation of companies participating in work-learning parallel. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted of companies participating in parallel work-learning in Chungnam, and the results were analyzed using the structural equation model. As a result of the study, the reason for the company's participation in parallel work-learning was firstly, 84% of government subsidy received education and training expenses. Second, 66% of workers were able to pay less than regular workers, and thirdly, it was easy to hire new employees in the field. 26%, 17% of them were invited by acquaintances for no particular reason. Therefore, the study suggests that participation in the work-learning parallel training contributes to the management costs, management of employee turnover, and human resource development. In future research, it is necessary to subdivide tests and estimates by conducting studies on regions, occupations, gender, wages, and years of service in Korea.

  • Recently the Korean life-long occupational skill development system is undergoing rapid change and innovation on the basis of NCS (National Competency Standards). In order for the NCS-based occupational training system to be successfully established, it is required to be accepted and applied in the higher education. Universities, however, hesitate to adopt NCS-based contracted education programs of the work-and-study cooperative system due to low relevance of university education to industrial needs and absence of the reference operation model for the NCS-based contracted education programs considering Korean small companies' particular needs. This study aims to develop and apply a reference operation model for NCS-based contracted education programs of the university-linked work-and-study parallel system, focusing on the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering of College of Work and Study in Parallel, Koreatech. In addition, several operational guidelines are suggested within the framework of current law and regulations for successful diffusion of the NCS-based reference operation model. The results of this study are expected to contribute to nation-wide proliferation of NCS-based contracted education programs in the higher education and motivating companies and universities to participate in the work-and-study parallel initiatives.

  • This study suggests the direction of management theory education in business administration under the university-linked program of Korean work and study in parallel policy. As a social science, business education is essentially to cultivate people of talent capable of making the right decisions in the social phenomenon (business practices) rather than educate skills for solving a specific issue. At the same time, the parallel system is aimed at cultivating talented people who can work practically in the real field. Therefore, practical education and theoretical education should be linked organically, and the theoretical education should be layered. Also, management education should be guaranteed to be timely and cultivate fusion thinking. Based on this background, this study is expected to contribute to the upgrading of the parallel system and education level in the future by reviewing the curriculum of the business administration department of domestic universities.

  • In this paper, I propose double parallel manipulator for machining work. And I derive an kinematics by combining the kinematics of the central axis and the kinematics of the link train of linear actuator. The Jacobian of the central axis and the Jacobian of the link train of the linear actuators are induced by a motor algebra and they are combined to an entire Jacobian matrix to transform the velocity of the end effector to those of linear actuators. And then this paper presents the development of control system and user interface program for machining work.

  • This research develops the robot for the machining work. For machining work(cutting, milling, grilling, etc.), a robot manipulator is constructed by combining a parallel and a serial mechanism to increase stiffness as well as enlarge workspace. Based on the geometric constraints, this paper develops the formulation for inverse/direct kinematics and Jacobian to design and control a robot. Workspace is also analyzed to prove the advantage of the proposed robot.

Development of Evaluation Model for Learning Company Participating Work-Study Parallel Program using AHP (AHP를 활용한 일학습병행 학습기업 평가모형 개발)

  • This study aims to establish an evaluation model by quantifying the evaluation index as a follow-up study to the development of evaluation index for work-study parallel learning companies. An evaluation model was established by verifying the 2nd level components based on the quantitative factors of the learning company, the qualitative factors, the competency factors of the person in charge, and the competency factors of the learning workers, which are the highest-level components derived from previous study. For the evaluation of a learning company, an AHP survey was conducted with experts in charge of the company consulting to derive important factors that determine the quality of on-site education and training, and the evaluation model of the learning company was completed and grouped by calculating the weight between evaluation items proceeded. Work-study parallel program was promoted as a key policy to resolve the mismatch between industrial sites and school education and realize a competency-centered society, and as of December 2022, 16,664 companies participated in the training. Learning companies play a very important role as education and training supply organizations that conduct field training. It is expected that the support and consulting plan for each level of learning companies according to the evaluation model presented in this study will be used as basic data to improve the quality of work-study parallel program.

A Study on the Operation of Graduation Portfolio for Degree Conferment in Engineering Bachelor Degree-Linked Work-Study Parallel System (공학사 학위 연계형 일학습병행제에서 학위 수여를 위한 졸업 작품 운영에 관한 연구)

  • K University of engineering college awarded degrees to workers for major of electrical and electronics in the degree-linked work-study parallel system for the first time in February 2020. In this study, the progressed process to the stage of producing group graduation works for graduates and completing the results in an engineering thesis system were presented. The questionnaire consisting of 39 questions was conducted with the subjects, and the results of the responses were compared and analyzed with the results of full-time students in the same major who graduated in the same year. Statistical analysis was attempted by dividing the five representative response questions by group, but the number of people in each group was less than 30, so the normality test of response results and statistical analysis by parametric methods were limited. However, it was judged that a one-sample t-test was possible. Focusing on this method, it was confirmed that there was a difference of 0.8 points or more between the groups on an average 5-point scale in response items related to the number of changes in the subject of the work, the satisfaction among the members, and the effort to guide the work. And the measures to deal with these differences were suggested.
