When elementary students write their own sentences, it is often educationally beneficial to compare them with other people's similar sentences. However, it is impractical for use in most classrooms, because it is burdensome for teachers to look up all of the sentences written by students. To cope with this problem, we propose a novel approach for automatic selection of similar sentences based on a three-step process: 1) extracting the subword units from the word-level sentences, 2) training the model with the encoder-decoder architecture, and 3) using the approximate k-nearest neighbor search algorithm to find the similar sentences. Experimental results show that the proposed approach achieves the accuracy of 75% for our test data.
The purpose of this study is to examine the difference between festival visitors motivation and satisfaction by visitors' past experiences at Gim-po Culture & Art Festival 2008, Which is the 25th, is holding soon. Gim-po Culture & Art Festival has unique aspect that it is organised various experience programs and items which stress the importance of environment mix in Han river, Gim-po's port, totemism, agriculture and so on. A Study is analysed through research that is consisted of motivation and satisfaction factor's item of 23 local festival visitor to study factors of determination of local festival visitor's motivation and satisfaction level. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire at the 24th Gim-po Culture & Art Festival, 695 sample were used for statistical analysis. This research data is analysed by 4 statistical techniques, which are t-test, Cross-tab analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis. As the results of this research, festival visitor's satisfaction were composed of four factors; festival theme, physical facilities, festival information service, souvenir and food. Festival satisfaction and motivation appeared the difference between first-time visitors and repeat visitors. The result of this paper may help festival planner and marketer for festival marketing strategy.
Compound noun phrase (CNP) is important factor for semantic information process because the meaning of the CNP is more disambiguous than that of single word. However, the CNP can be expressed in various types even though it expresses same meaning. It is called syntactic diversity. It makes information system difficult to grasp sense identity. In order to resolve the syntactic diversity in this research, we propose an indexing method for compound noun phrase. The main purpose is to make identical index term for various types of CNPs which has same meaning. To do so, the research follows next steps. For the first, we make rule template and utilize the template to extract CNPs from set of domestic research papers. In general, the CNP has a unique meaning. Considering the characteristic, we suggest synthesis rules of index terms and apply the rule to CNPs extracted in previous step. For the objective performance evaluation of the research, a test set, HANTEC 2.0, was utilized and the result was compared to baseline model. Through the experiment and the evaluation, we have confirmed that the indexing method suggested in this paper could positively affect retrieval precision and improve performance of the information retrieval.
As the mobile computers such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) or Smart Phone has been widespread in our daily life, the demand of an extensive data input will gradually be increased. Consequently, many alternative soft keyboards have been proposed to satisfy this requirement. However none of them can provide an absolute solutions for that, the segregated guideline for keyboard arrangement and usage still cause much confusion to the user. Therefore, an integrated guideline is seriously required. In order to come up with the integrated guideline for Korean Soft keyboard GUI, the questionnaire and the experimental test compared with five soft keyboards were conducted in this study. As a result this paper presents five guidelines for improving an input speed of soft keyboard on the mobile computing; following familiarity for effective screen use, using a single key rather than grouping key, considering position of prediction word, considering prompt feedback, finally, considering optimized keyboard size.
Recent growth of ring-tone and ring-back-tone download market as the derived market of cellular phone yields the new trend in music consumption from listening to display. This means that consumer purchase the ring-tone and RBT not for his appreciation but for counterpart's consumption, in a word, conspicuous consumption. Study aims at questions on whether cellular phone user can perceive the ring-tone and RBT's brand personality and how they express their self-image via ring-tone and RBT. Survey was administered for 196 college students who is dominant purchase group of market segment. Hypotheses are such as : congruity of self image and brand personality of ring-tone and RBT. Through the T-test, findings said that user's extrovert self image are not led to ring-tone's extrovert brand personality and user's introvert self image are not led to introvert ring-tone's brand personality of ringtone. same result was applicable to RTB. Cellular phone user's purchase behavior are different from those of product and service.
The purpose of this study is to examine the balanced English approach program on five-year-old children's English reading and writing ability. For this study, two classes consisting of five-year-old children in HATBEAT kindergarten in D city were selected. One class was designated as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The balanced English approach program was performed on the experimental group but not on the control group. The balanced English approach program was carried out for 8 weeks. The experimental procedures were in the order of pre-test, the experimental treatment, and post-test. The result of the experiment was evaluated by comparing the pre-test and post-test results. Analysis of data was performed by ANCOVA. The result of the study are as follows. First, in the English reading ability, the experimental group was more enhanced than the control group. Also, for sub-factors of English reading such as alphabet and English word reading ability, the experimental group was more enhanced than the control group. However, in the English book reading ability as a sub- factor of the English reading, there was not much difference in the result between the experimental group and the control group. Second, in the English writing ability, the experimental group were more enhanced than the control group.
The purpose of this study was to develop a lifestyle scale for one-person hair salon users and to identify differences in store choice factors and hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle types. Data was collected by survey, with 225 responses being included in the analysis. Data analysis was performed using cross-analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's α, cluster analysis, ANOVA and the Duncan-test using SPSS 23.0 analysis software. The results of the study were as follows. First, one-person hair salon users were classified according to the following lifestyle groups: The rational appearance management group, the passive appearance management group, and the discriminative appearance management group. Second, store choice factors according to lifestyle group showed significant group-specific differences in relation to store atmosphere, accessibility, and promotion. Conversely, comfort of space in store and word-of-mouth recommendation message were high for all three groups, indicating that these are important factors in relation to store selection. Third, with regard to hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle, the discriminative appearance management group showed the same characteristics as high involvement groups that regard all dimensions of hairstyle pursuit behavior as important. The results of this study can be used to suggest efficient operations for one-person hair salons and to suggest differentiated marketing strategies to increase the demand of one-person hair salon users.
Recently, as growing number of consumers publish product and service reviews on the Internet, e-review has received attention from retailers and researchers. E-review, a form of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) which is typically shared between strangers whose identity and credibility are unknown, has become an important product information source as social media has facilitated information exchanges between more consumers. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of e-review attributes on purchase intention for fashion products, which is mediated by trust of e-review, as well as to explore the differences between consumer communities and cooperative communities. A questionnaire was developed based on previous researches. Data were gathered from adults living in Busan. The results were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, and regression using SPSS 18.0. The results showed that consumers tended to recognize e-reviews from consumer communities as exaggerated information, while they considered reviews from cooperative communities as reliable information, which gave the latter higher purchase intention. There were significant differences in e-review attributes for fashion products (e.g., Exaggeration, Entertainment, Innocence, and Agreement), purchase intention between consumer communities (e.g: Blog, Internet cafe) and cooperative communities (e.g: general malls and specialty malls). For both communities, purchase intention of fashion products was influenced by its entertainment attributes and perceived trust of e-reviews. These results suggest that e-retailers need to focus on understanding the causes of purchase intention with e-reviews for fashion products. Specifically, e-retailers should recognize that e-reviews of fashion products were associated primarily with entertaining and with consumers' trust. Based on these findings, managerial implications are presented.
The purpose of this study is to examine the online WOM effect of blog review depending on brand awareness and message direction. The theory of planned behavior was applied to understand online WOM acceptance. A survey was conducted targeting female in 20s and 30s and 312 questionnaires were used for analysis. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS ver. 18.0. The results are as follows. First, purchase intention and online re-WOM intention are higher when brand awareness is higher. Second, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, WOM acceptance intention, purchase intention and off-line re-WOM intention show higher values when negative information is afforded. Third, in type 1 (high brand awareness/positive message) and type 3 (low brand awareness/positive message), attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have a positive effect on WOM acceptance intention. In type 2 (high brand awareness/negative message), subjective norm and attitude have a positive effect on WOM acceptance intention. In type 4 (low brand awareness/negative message), subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have a positive effect on WOM acceptance intention. Forth, in type 1 and type 3, WOM acceptance intention has a positive effect on purchase intention, offline re-WOM intention and online re-WOM intention. In type 2 and type 4, WOM acceptance intention has a negative effect on purchase intention, and a positive effect on offline re-WOM intention. The results show that blog review has ripple effect on consumer behavior by affecting purchase intention and offline re-WOM intention.
Purpose - Universities are fostering the development of closer relationships with students due to the increase in competition among universities. Universities are placing greater emphasis on relationship quality as a source of competitive advantage. Thus relationship marketing has become an important strategic theme in higher education. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of faculty trustworthiness on relationship building process in the context of relationship marketing. For this study, faculty trustworthiness is divided into competence, benevolence, and integrity. And relationship development variables are composed of satisfaction, commitment, positive WOM, and negative WOM. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically evaluate the proposed research model, this study was carried out using the survey with undergraduate students who were taking business courses. The 270 questionnaires were asked, and a total of 245 respondents provided complete and usable data. The sample consisted of 143 males(58.4%) and 102 females(41.6%). The variables of proposed model were measured on a 5-point Likert scale. The structural equation modeling analysis was used for the hypothesis test. Results - The overall fit of the model was acceptable(χ2=579.7(df=264, P=0.00), GFI=0.935, NFI=0.949, CFI=0.956, RMR=0.040). The results supported 6 hypotheses except for

. First, competence and benevolence were positively related to satisfaction, while integrity was not significant. A key result of the analysis was that benevolence has the strongest effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction had a positive impact on commitment and positive WOM but didn't significantly affect negative WOM. Third, commitment significantly enhanced positive WOM and reduced negative WOM. Conclusions - This study emphasizes the role of faculty trustworthiness based on a long-term relationship. And the findings suggest that the dimensions of faculty trustworthiness have differing effects on satisfaction. In particular, benevolence is found to be the most important factor. This study provides university managers with the following managerial implications. In order to increase the satisfaction of the students, university managers should focus on the faculty's competence and benevolence. Also, it is important that university managers take a relationship approach to maximize WOM effect.
