Methods : This research was based on self-filling survey which 413 chinese students in Chungbuk in Korea from April 1 to July 15, 2011. Surveyed data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, $x^2$-test, t-test and one-way ANOVA using SPSS WIN 12.0 program and its signification level was 0.05. The following shows the results of this study. Results : In the event of those who didn't use oral hygiene supplies, the largest group didn't use the devices since they didn't know about them well or they didn't need to use. Regarding links between experience of using oral hygiene devices and concern for oral health, those who used oral hygiene devices showed more interest in oral health(p<.001). • The purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting new nurses turnover in Korea. The participants in this study were 227 new nurses who has been working or turnover less than 12 months in fifteen hospitals in B and Y city. Data were collected with structured questionnaires to investigate the socio-demographics characteristics and turnover-related factors, and analyzed using $x^2-test$, Fisher's exact test, independent sample t-test, logistic regression with the SPSS win version 18.0 program. The significant factors affecting turnover were age over 26 years(OR=4.00, CI=2.02-7.91), married(OR=6.30, CI=1.21-32.79). On the other hand, mentoring(OR=0.96, CI=0.94-0.99) lowered the probability of turnover. To reduce turnover of new nurses, we need to give special consideration for age of over 26 years and married nurses. Also, there is a need to develop an individualized mentor program.

  • This study was undertaken to recommend a dementia education program for college students, and to understand the outcome on knowledge and attitude towards dementia, awareness of aged support, and cognitive-affective empathy. Totally, 40 college students in C city, K do, were enrolled for the study, and divided into two groups of 20 each: experimental group and control group. The experimental group subjects were provided a 12-hour dementia education program; effectiveness of this program has been verified in later studies. Data were collected from November 5, 2018 to December 7, 2018; collection was before, after, and 4 weeks after the program was provided to the experimental group. Control group data were also collected in the same time frame. Data analysis was done using IBM SPSS WIN/21.0, and the percentage, mean and standard deviation were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilks test, $x^2$-test, Fisher's exact probability test, Independent t-test, Friedman test, Mann-Whitney U and Repeated Measure ANOVA. Knowledge of dementia (F=19.80, p<0.001), attitude toward dementia (z=-4.10, p<0.001), and awareness of aged support (F=6.26, p=0.017) had a significant interaction between group and time; however, cognitive-affective empathy showed no correlation (F=1.32, p<0.256). We therefore suggest strengthening the contents of future education program for dementia, developing a customized program for cognitive-affective empathy by considering subject characteristics, and further research verifying the effectiveness of the program.

Method: In total, 255 paramedics and basic EMTs completed questionnaires between March and May, 2013. Data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: A chi-square analysis revealed significantly different responses given by paramedics and basic EMTs: Paramedics gave "the reason in which DNR is not necessary", as being "due to unclear DNR decision time" whereas basic EMTs answered that this was "due to a legal problem" ($x^2$ = 12.680, p < .05). Paramedics disagreed with the statement, "It is natural for medical teams to have less interest in patients with DNT orders", whereas basic EMTs agreed with the statement ($x^2$ = 6.666, p < .05). Conclusion: A unified manual on attitude toward DNR orders, taking account of social and culture factors, needs to be developed. This research provides a base line for future research.
