  • For a double array of random elements {$V_{mn};m{\geq}1,\;n{\geq}1$} in a real separable Banach space, some mean convergence theorems and weak laws of large numbers are established. For the mean convergence results, conditions are provided under which $k_{mn}^{-\frac{1}{r}}\sum{{u_m}\atop{i=1}}\sum{{u_n}\atop{i=1}}(V_{ij}-E(V_{ij}|F_{ij})){\rightarrow}0$ in $L_r$ (0 < r < 2). The weak law results provide conditions for $k_{mn}^{-\frac{1}{r}}\sum{{T_m}\atop{i=1}}\sum{{\tau}_n\atop{j=1}}(V_{ij}-E(V_{ij}|F_{ij})){\rightarrow}0$ in probability where {$T_m;m\;{\geq}1$} and {${\tau}_n;n\;{\geq}1$} are sequences of positive integer-valued random variables, {$k_{mn};m{{\geq}}1,\;n{\geq}1$} is an array of positive integers. The sharpness of the results is illustrated by examples.

  • In this paper we study the existence and long-time behavior of weak solutions to a class of quasilinear degenerate parabolic equations involving weighted p-Laplacian operators with a new class of nonlinearities. First, we prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions by combining the compactness and monotone methods and the weak convergence techniques in Orlicz spaces. Then, we prove the existence of global attractors by using the asymptotic a priori estimates method.

  • We consider a class of discrete parameter processes on a locally compact Polish space $S$ arising from successive compositions of strictly stationary Markov random maps on $S$ into itself. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the stationary solution and the weak convergence of the distributions of $\{\Gamma_n \Gamma_{n-1} \cdots \Gamma_0x \}$ are given.

  • In this paper, we first show the weak convergence of the modified Ishikawa iteration process with errors of two total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, which generalizes the result due to Khan and Fukhar-ud-din [1]. Next, we show the strong convergence of the modified Ishikawa iteration process with errors of two total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings satisfying Condition ($\mathbf{A}^{\prime}$), which generalizes the result due to Fukhar-ud-din and Khan [2].

  • In this paper, we define the weighted U-empirical process for simple linear model and show the weak convergence to a Gaussian process under some conditions. Then we illustrate the usage of our result with examples. In the appendix, we derive the variance of the weighted U-empirical distribution function.

  • We adapt the concept of shrinking projection method of Takahashi et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 341(2008), 276-286] to the iteration scheme studied by Kim and Lee [Kyungpook Math. J. 48(2008), 685-703] for two relatively weak nonexpansive mappings. By letting one of the two mappings be the identity mapping, we also obtain strong convergence theorems for a single mapping with two types of computational errors. Finally, we improve Kim and Lee's convergence theorem in the sense that the same conclusion still holds without the uniform continuity of mappings as was the case in their result.
