초등학생의 안전사고예방을 위한 웹기반수업 프로그램 개발 및 효과분석 (Development and Effect Analysis of Web-Based Instruction Program to Prevent Elementary School Students from Safety Accidents)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to develop a WBI(Web Based Instruction) program on safety for 3rd grade elementary school students and to test the effects of it. Method: The WBI program was developed using Macromedia flash MX, Adobe Illustrator 10.0 and Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The web site was http://www.safeschool.co.kr. The effect of it was tested from Mar 24, to Apr 30, 2003. The subjects were 144 students enrolled in the 3rd grade of an elementary school in Gyungju. The experimental group received the WBI program lessons while each control group received textbook-based lessons with visual presenters and maps, 3 times. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, and ${\chi}^2$test, t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. Result: First, the WBI group reported a longer effect on knowledge and practice of accident prevention than the textbook-based lessons, indicating that the WBI is more effective. Second, the WBI group was better motivated to learn the accident prevention lessons, showing that the WBI is effective. As a result, the WBI group had total longer effects on knowledge, practice and motivation of accident prevention than the textbook-based instruction. Conclusion: We recommend that this WBI program be used in each class to provide more effective safety instruction in elementary schools.

웹 에이전트를 이용한 웹기반 교수-학습 시스템의 설계 및 개발 (An Implementation and Design Web-Based Instruction-Learning System Using Web Agent)

  • 최근에, 컴퓨터를 이용한 학습은 CAI 환경에서 WBI 학습 환경으로 옮아가고 있다. WBI 학습에 필요한 대부분의 웹 문서는 검색 엔진을 이용하여 얻는다. 교수자는 검색한 웹 문서의 사용가능성을 평가한 후 학습 자료로 사용한다. 그러나 이런 교수-학습 과정은 다음과 같은 문제점이 있다. 첫째, 교수자에 의해 선정된 웹 문서를 반복해서 검색한다. 둘째, 웹 문서를 학습자에게 제시하기 위한 별도의 교수 설계 과정이 필요하다. 셋째, 학습자의 평가 결과와 웹 문서 사이의 관련성 분석이 매우 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 WBI 학습에 필요한 웹 문서를 검색하고 학습자에게 학습 과정을 안내하는 WAILS(Web Agent Instruction Learning System)를 제안한다. WAILS는 웹 에이전트를 이용하여 WBI 학습에 필요한 웹 문서를 수집한다. 교수자는 수집한 웹 문서를 평가하고 교수-학습 생성기를 통해 학습자에게 제시한다. 교수자는 WAILS를 이용하여 웹 문서의 검색과 교수-학습 설계를 동시에 하게 된다. 이는 WBI 학습을 더욱 촉진시키게 된다.

중ㆍ고등학생 대상 영양교육 프로그램 효과평가 (Effectiveness of Web-Based Nutritional Education Program for Junior and Senior High School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of Web-based nutrition education program for junior and senior high school students. Three materials, which were printed materials on Group I, WBI (Web-Based Instruction) leaflet on Group II and the web-based nutrition education program developed in the antecedent research, were applied for 564 students in 3 junior high school and 4 senior high school in Seoul during 4 weeks. Pre-test was done from October 21 to October 26, 2002 and post-test was done from November 25 to December 13, 2002. The statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS WIN (ver. 11.0) for descriptive analysis, t-test and ANOVA. According to the evaluation of effectiveness for web-based nutrition education program, nutrition knowledge, food attitude, food habit and nutrient intake were not significantly improved but positively. And on the evaluation of effectiveness for nutrition education program by materials, WBI was more effective educational materials than WBI leaflet and printed materials. Consequently nutrition knowledge, food attitude, food habit and nutrient intake were improved positively but not significantly using WBI, which was due to the instructional period of the only 4 weeks. Therefore long-term instruction should be required for effective nutrition program, as well as more WBI nutrition education program for high school students would need to be developed in the near future in that WBI was effective material on nutrition education.

  • WBI(Web Based Instruction)는 교수 학습 자료의 개발 부담으로 특정 교과에 국한되어 있다. 본 논문은 WBI를 워드프로세서의 수업에 적용하여 인터넷 기반의 개별화된 교수-학습 시스템을 구현하였다. WBI를 적용한 워드프로세서 수업 방식은 전통적 수업 방식에 비해 학생들이 더욱 흥미를 느끼게 하고, 워드프로세서의 수준별, 능력별, 단계별 학습 선택으로 인해 학생 중심의 학습을 가능하게 하였다. 또한 개별학습 과제를 통해 학습내용을 실시간 평가 할 수 있으며 피드백이 가능하여 학습 효과를 극대화시킬 수 있었다.

인터넷을 이용한 교수 - 학습 모형에 관한 연구

  • A new way of teaching on the Internet can be called Web Based Instruction (WBI). WBI goes far above and beyond teaching in the school. It will have an impact on overall educational activity that will dramatically change many existing educational processes and persuade most teachers to change their conventional teaching methods. The main purposes of this research were to make a comparative study of academic achievement between expository lecture and web-based instruction, and to identify the difference in academic achievement of learning tasks in pre- and post- experiments of WBI. The conclusions of this study were as follows. First. there are no differences in academic achievement between expository lecture and teacher- directed web based instruction. Second, there are no differences in academic achievement between expository lecture and teacher-assisted web based instruction. Third, there is difference in academic achievement between teacher-assisted web based instruction and teacher-directed web based instruction. Fourth, there are no differences in academic achievement of reading tasks in pre- or post- experiments of teacher-directed web based instruction. On the basis of the research results and discussion, we finally present a Web-Application-Model (WAM) to encourage the usage of Internet as a useful teaching channel.

WBI 수준별 수업을 통한 영어 의사소통능력 향상 방안 (Improving English communicative competence through individualized WBI)

  • The purpose of this study is to increase students' interest in the subject of English, which has been led by some mannerism, and to improve the students' basic scholastic ability and self-controlled problem solving, through adopting an individualized Web Based Instruction(WBI) as a concrete and practical learning method. In order to achieve this, an individualized Web Based Instruction(WBI) homepage has been developed to be applied experimentally to the field of middle school education for 8 months, and a research has been made on its effects on the students' interest in English along with the improvement of English. Two groups which showed almost the same interest were selected as a controlled group and an experimental one. Individualized Web Based Instruction was applied to the experimental group, while the controlled group was not instructed according to student ability. The controlled group was taught using CD added with the textbook. As a result of T-test, the students in the experimental group showed more improvement in communicative competence than those in the controlled group.

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to develop a WBI(Web Based Instruction) program on safety for 6th grades of elementary school students and to test the effects of it. Method: The web site is http://www.safeschool.co.kr. The effect of it was tested from Mar 24, to Apr 30, 2003. The subjects were 150 students. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, and $x^2$ test, t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. Result: In the knowledge of the safety precaution, the preliminary test was mean 17.8, immediate post-test was mean 20.9 and 4 weeks post-test was mean 20.9, there were significant differences statistically among three points of time. In the attitude of the safety precaution, the preliminary test was mean 75.1, the immediate post-test was mean 80.8 and 4 weeks post-test was mean 80.4, which showed significant difference statistically among three points of time. For the motive of learning to the safety precaution, it was significantly higher statistically in the WBI. As a result, the WBI group had totally longer effects on knowledge, attitude and motivation of the safety accident prevention than the textbook-based instruction. Conclusion: WBI program be used in each class to provide more effective safety instruction.

웹기반 영양교육 프로그램의 질 평가도구 개발 및 활용가능성 탐색 (How Can We Develop and Make Use of the Quality Assessment Tool of Web-Based Instruction(WBI) for Nutrition Education\ulcorner)

  • The purposes of this study were to: a) develop the quality assessment tool of Web-based Instruction (WBI) for nutrition education, b) evaluate the operated WBI (NutriZone) by this tool, and c) do the feasibility study about quality assessment tool for WBI by establishing the instruction and operating strategies. The developed quality assessment tool of WBI for nutrition education was divided into three categories of instruction design, contents and support & operation. And a total of forty items were measured by Likert 5 point scale, computed as one point per item, and amounted to forty points in all. As a result of evaluation, NutriZone got 21.79 out of 40 points and fulfillment rate of 54.5%. The IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) was applied to establish the instruction and operating strategies, and nine items characterized as attractiveness, multimedia, and learner-initiative were in 'Doing Great, Keep It Up', and so it was regar-ded as program designed with concern in WBI's characteristics unlike the conventional face-to-face education. But twelve items such as 'Errors on switch to other screens are few.', 'Ready correction leads to be out of systemic error.', 'Highlight marks and moving pictures were used in sign of importance.' and etc. that got high importance and low performance needed to be focused in instructional strategy.

JSP를 이용한 웹 기반 교수학습 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Web Based Instruction System using Java Server Pages)

  • 본 논문에서는 JSP를 이용하여 동적인 웹 기반 교수 학습 시스템을 설계 구현하여 웹 기반 교수 학습을 위한 방법을 제시하였다. 멀티미디어 학습자료를 이용한 학습방법과 학습자의 다양한 요구에 부응하기 위하여 학습자가 자유롭게 학습할 수 있는 학습자 중심의 교육모델을 제공하고자 설계하였다. 개발된 웹 기반 교수 학습 시스템은 학습자가 원하는 과목을 수강하여 강의 듣기, 과제 제출 및 시험보기를 가능하게 하여 실제수업에 활용하는 것에 초점을 맞추었고, 실제 수업과 동일한 효과를 나타내기 위해 전자 칠판 기능과 고음질, 고압축의 음성 원격 강의, 동영상 등을 포함한 멀티미디어 강의 자료를 활용하여 구현하였다. 교수자는 웹 상에서 직접 멀티미디어 자료, 이미지를 삽입하여 선다형, 단답형, 논술형의 시험을 출제할 수 있도록 하여 다양한 평가를 가능하게 하였고, 과제 관리, 강의 등록 등 학사 관리를 쉽게 하도록 하였다.
