  • This paper proposes fuzzy control algorithms for a DC moter speed control. The proposed algorithms are constructed by the fuzzy controller and the fuzzy compensator. The fuzzy compensator used to overcome rapidly the effects caused by the disturbance and is mounted outside of the closed loop of the fuzzy controller. The fuzzy control rules are established from human operator experience and basic engineering knowledge about the process dynamics. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms compensate for parameter variation and disturbance.

  • The adaptive skill of the human operator is now being simulated and reproduced by computer that have become more powerful and less expensive. This paper is concerned with an investigation of the effects of dynamic load of hydraulic oil on pressures with three different circuit(meter-in, meter-out and bleed-off). The experimental results showed that pressures increase with an increase in dynamic load in bleed-off circuit, but there is no variation of pressure in meter-in and meter-out circuits.

  • The distributional properties of forecasts in an integer-valued time series model have not been discovered yet mainly because of the complexity arising from the binomial thinning operator. We propose two bootstrap methods to obtain nonparametric prediction intervals for an integer-valued autoregressive model : one accommodates the variation of estimating parameters and the other does not. Contrary to the results of the continuous ARMA model, we show that the latter is better than the former in forecasting the future values of the integer-valued autoregressive model.

  • In this paper we study monotonicity the first eigenvalue for a class of (p, q)-Laplace operator acting on the space of functions on a closed Riemannian manifold. We find the first variation formula for the first eigenvalue of a class of (p, q)-Laplacians on a closed Riemannian manifold evolving by the Ricci-Bourguignon flow and show that the first eigenvalue on a closed Riemannian manifold along the Ricci-Bourguignon flow is increasing provided some conditions. At the end of paper, we find some applications in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional manifolds.

  • Let M be an n-dimensional closed Riemannian manifold with metric g, $d{\mu}=e^{-{\phi}(x)}d{\nu}$ be the weighted measure and ${\Delta}_{p,{\phi}}$ be the weighted p-Laplacian. In this article we will study the evolution and monotonicity for the first nonzero eigenvalue problem of the weighted p-Laplace operator acting on the space of functions along the Yamabe flow on closed Riemannian manifolds. We find the first variation formula of it along the Yamabe flow. We obtain various monotonic quantities and give an example.

  • In this paper, we extend the definition of the Jacobi operator of smooth maps, and biharmonic maps via the variation of bienergy between two Riemannian manifolds. We construct an example of (p, f)-biharmonic non (p, f)-harmonic map. We also prove some Liouville type theorems for (p, f)-biharmonic maps.

  • The dynamic characteristics of turning processes are complex, non-linear and time-varying. Consequently, the conventional techniques based on crisp mathematical model may not guarantee surface roughness regulation. This paper presents a fuzzy controller which can regulate surface roughness in milling process using end-mill under varying cutting condition. The fuzzy control rules are established from operator experience and expert knowledge about the process dynamics. regulation which increases productivity and tool life is achieved by adjusting feed-rate according to the variation of cutting conditions. The performance of the proposed controller is evaluated by cutting experiments in the converted CNC milling machine. The result of experiments show that the proposed fuzzy controller has a good surface roughness regulation capability in spite of the variation of cutting conditions.

  • A target signal simulation method for passive sonar systems is introduced. The method uses multirate signal processing techniques to simulate moving target signals in the multi-path sound propagation environment by introducing Lloyd's mirror and Doppler effect. Time and frequency variation of target signal due to the target maneuvering is also considered to provide realistic ship signatures in the LOFAR gram so that the simulated target is used for sonar operator training. Synthesized target characteristics is analyzed and compared with real target signal in terms of interference pattern and frequency variation in the LOFAR gram.

  • Let $\{U(t,s)\}_{t{\geq}s}$ be a periodic evolutionary process with period ${\tau}$ > 0 on a Banach space X. Also, let L be the generator of the evolution semigroup associated with $\{U(t,s)\}_{t{\geq}s}$ on the phase space $P_{\tau}(X)$ of all ${\tau}$-periodic continuous X-valued functions. Some kind of variation-of-constants formula for the solution u of the equation $({\alpha}I-L)^nu=f$ will be given together with the conditions on $f{\in}P_{\tau}(X)$ for the existence of coefficients in the formula involving the monodromy operator $U(0,-{\tau})$. Also, examples of ODEs and PDEs are presented as its application.
