The main contribution of this paper is the use of sensorless active diodes to generate the gate signals for a three-phase boost-rectifier with a self-powered control scheme. The sensorless operation is achieved making use of the gate control signals generated by the active diode schemes on each of the switching devices using a pulse width half-controlled boost rectifier modulation technique (PWM-HCBR). The proposed scheme synchronizes the gate control signals with a three phase voltage supply. Autonomous operation is obtained making use of the output DC bus to feed the control circuitry, the active diodes and the driver circuitry. The three-phase boost-rectifier is supplied by a three-phase permanent magnet electric generator powered by a solar concentrator dish with variable voltage and variable frequency conditions. Experimental results report an efficiency of up to 94.6% for 25 W and an input of 3.6 V peak per phase with 450.

Because of the increasing demand on the high precision and high response of a machinery, proportional control valves are widely adopted at various application fields. This paper studies on the static and dynamic characteristics of a pilot proportional pressure control valve. An experimental apparatus including hydraulic pump, variable speed inverter, pressure and flow sensors and data aquisition system was set up. And various experiments such as P-Q-V curves, step responses due to input voltage and flow rate, hysteresis, frequency response of the proportional valve was carried out and the results are discussed.
The study considers earthquake shake table testing of bending-torsion coupled structures under multi-component stationary random earthquake excitations. An experimental procedure to arrive at the optimal excitation cross-power spectral density (psd) functions which maximize/minimize the steady state variance of a chosen response variable is proposed. These optimal functions are shown to be derivable in terms of a set of system frequency response functions which could be measured experimentally without necessitating an idealized mathematical model to be postulated for the structure under study. The relationship between these optimized cross-psd functions to the most favourable/least favourable angle of incidence of seismic waves on the structure is noted. The optimal functions are also shown to be system dependent, mathematically the sharpest, and correspond to neither fully correlated motions nor independent motions. The proposed experimental procedure is demonstrated through shake table studies on two laboratory scale building frame models.

In this paper, the basic experiment, electrolytic cell design and basic manufacturing have been made to interpret the characteristics of Hydrogen-Oxygen-Gas-Generator. As for the detailed matters, the data research on basic technology on Hydrogen-Oxygen-Gas and analysis on characteristics of Hydrogen-Oxygen-Gas from basic experiment. Also the experiment of characteristics and comparative evaluation between constant current source using SCR converter from existing method and constant current source using new phase shift PWM control method converter. As results when it has injected constant DC current, we has compared Gas quantities by variable ripple frequencies using phase shift PWM control method converter. Therefore, in linear region, it has not different Gas quantities by constant DC current and by phase shift PWM control method converter. Also, it has increased Gas quantities wilder linear region when put ripple frequency at saturation region. Through, Gas quantities and input rower, it has acquired higher input power per Gas quantities at put pulse current. Therefore, when designing converter or inverter for electrolysis, which has ripple current.

A fully-differential low-voltage low-power electrocardiogram (ECG) amplifier by using the nonfeedback PMOS pseudo-resistors is proposed. It consists of two operational-transconductance amplifiers (OTA) in series (a preamplifier and a variable-gain amplifier). To make it insensitive to the gate leakage current of the OTA input transistor, the feedback pseudo-resistor of the conventional ECG amplifier is moved to input branch between the OP amp summing node and the DC reference voltage. Also, an OTA circuit with a Gm boosting block without reducing the output resistance (Ro) is proposed to maximize the OTA DC gain. The measurements shows the frequency bandwidth from 7 Hz to 480 Hz, the midband gain programmable from 48.7 dB to 59.5 dB, the total harmonic distortion (THD) less than 1.21% with a full voltage swing, and the power consumption of 233 nW in a 0.13 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process at the supply voltage of 0.7 V.

A bridgeless single-stage AC-DC converter for wireless power charging systems is proposed. This converter is composed of a PFC stage and a three-level hybrid DC-DC stage. The proposed converter can control the wide output voltage (200-450 VDC) by the variable link voltage and the pulse-width voltage applied to the primary resonant circuit due to the phase-shifted modulation at a fixed switching frequency. Moreover, the input power factor and the total harmonic distortion can be improved by using the proposed converter. A 1 kW prototype was fabricated and validated through experimental results and analysis.

In the field of electric vehicles and AGVs, wireless power transfer (WPT) charging systems have been developed recently because of its convenience, reliability, and positive environmental impact due to cable and cord elimination. In this study, we propose a WPT charging system using a single stage AC-DC converter that can be reduced in size and weight and thus can ensure convenience. The proposed single-stage AC-DC converter can control a wide output voltage (36-54 VDC) within coupling ranges by using the variable link voltage applied to the WPT resonant circuit through phase-shifted modulation at a fixed switching frequency. Moreover, the input power factor and total harmonic distortion can be improved by using the proposed converter. A 1 kW prototype that can operate with an air gap range of 40-50 mm is fabricated and validated through experimental results and analysis.
It is necessary to measure the current of rotor for controlling the active and reactive power generated by the stator side of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) system. There are offset and scaling errors in the current measurement. The offset and scaling errors cause one and two times current ripples of slip frequency in the synchronous reference frame of vector control, respectively. This paper proposes a compensation method to reduce their ripples. The stator current is variable according to the wind force but the rotor current is almost constant. Therefore input of the rotor current is more useful for a compensation method. The proposed method adopts the synchronous d-axis current of the rotor as the input signal for compensation. The ripples of the measurement errors can be calculated by integrating the synchronous d-axis stator current. The calculated errors are added to the reference current of rotor as input of the current regulator, then the ripples are reduced. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
A Fuzzy Logic Sliding Mode Control or FLSMC for the uninterruptible power system (UPS) is presented, which is tracking a sinusoidal ac voltage with specified frequency and amplitude. The FLSMC algorithm combines feedforward strategy with the Variable Structure Control (VSC) or Sliding Mode Control (SMC) and fuzzy logic control. The control function is derived to guarantee the existence of a sliding mode. FLSMC has an advantage that the stability of FLSMC can be proved easily in terms of VSC. Furthermore, the rules of the proposed FLSMC are independent of the number of system state variables because the input of the suggested controller is fuzzy quantity sliding surface value. Hence the rules of the proposed FLSMC can be reduced. The simulation results illustrate that the purposed approach gives a significant improvement on the tracking performances. It has the small overshoot in the transient and the smaller chattering in the steady state than the conventional VSC. Moreover, its can achieve the requirements of robustness and can supply a high-quality voltage power source in the presence of plant parameter variations, external load disturbances and nonlinear dynamic interactions.

A low-swing differential near-ground signaling (NGS) transceiver for low-power high-speed mobile I/O interface is presented. The proposed transmitter adopts an on-chip regulated programmable-swing voltage-mode driver and a pre-driver with asymmetric rising/falling time. The proposed receiver utilizes a new multiple gain-path differential amplifier with feed-forward capacitors that boost high-frequency gain. Also, the receiver incorporates a new adaptive bias generator to compensate the input common-mode variation due to the variable output swing of the transmitter and to minimize the current mismatch of the receiver's input stage amplifier. The use of the new simple and effective impedance matching techniques applied in the transmitter and receiver results in good signal integrity and high power efficiency. The proposed transceiver designed in a 65-nm CMOS technology achieves a data rate of 13 Gbps/channel and 0.3 pJ/bit (= 0.3 mW/Gbps) high power efficiency over a 10 cm FR4 printed circuit board.
