정보시스템 사용에 대한 종업원들의 저항에 관한 연구 (A Study on Factors causing the employer's Resistance)

  • Now a day, Information and its related system has been more important in our competitive environment. In this situation, there is also an important thing that we must take into consideration, that's the employer's resistance. Until now we have little material concerning the issue, user's resistance. Owing to that, it's a little hard to study the user's resistance against the IS. Dealing with the resistance effectively helps companies save a great deal of cost and build the information system successfully. This paper takes the Markus's theories about user's resistance. According to the theories, there are three keys theories affecting resistance. To sum this, people-oriented theory, system-oriented theory and Interaction theory. To complement the theories, this paper includes another theories related with resistance and takes total seven factors causing user's resistance. Among these seven factors, four factors have a meaningful effect on the user's resistance, that is, Self-efficacy, System Complexity, Threat of the one's status and politics and System Staff's service quality. Managers and system-related company should keep it in mind very carefully, and I hope they make the best use of the result of this study.

핀테크 지급결제 서비스 수용 저항요인 연구 : 혁신저항이론과 현상유지편향이론을 중심으로 (The Study of User Resistance to Fintech Payment Service: In the Perspective of Innovation Diffusion And Status Quo Bias Theory)

  • Purpose Global fintech industry is proliferating. Although domestic investment in fintech service is also increasing fast, user acceptance of fintech payment service seems slower than expected. Previous fintech literature mainly focuses on overall characteristics and technical aspects of fintech including security issues and explores factors affecting the service adoption. This study aims to examine crucial factors affecting user's resistance intention to fintech payment service adoption. The research model was formulated based on innovation diffusion theory and status quo bias theory and validated empirically. Design/methodology/approach The proposed research model was empirically validated with 149 responses from college students who have used fintech payment service. The component-based SEM was employed for data analysis. Findings The significant findings are as follow. First, compatibility has significant negative effect and complexity, and perceived risk has a positive effect on user resistance. Second, institutional trust does not show a significant effect on user resistance but has an indirect effect through the mediation of trust in service provider. Finally, trust in service provider shows the significant negative effect on user resistance.

The effect of switching costs on resistance to change in the use of software

  • People tend to resist changing their software even alternatives are better then the current one. This study examines the resistance to change in the use of software from the switching costs perspective based on status quo bias theory. For this study, we select Web Browsers as software. Based on the classification of switching costs into three groups (psychological, procedural, and loss), this study identifies six types of switching costs (uncertainty, commitment, learning, setup, lost performance, and sunk costs). This study tests the effects of six switching costs on user resistance to change based on the survey of 204 web browser users. The results indicate that lost performance costs and emotional costs have significant effects on user resistance to change. This research contributes towards understanding of switching costs and the effects on user resistance to change. This study also offers suggestions to software vendors for retaining their users and to organizations for managing user resistance in switching and adopting software.

가상현실 모션센싱 입력장치에 대한 혁신 저항과 수용 (Innovation resistance and adoption regarding a virtual reality motion-sensing input device)

  • With the advancement of virtual reality technology, virtual reality contents and devices are being competitively released. This research deals with an early stage adoption model of a motion-sensing input device which enhances the user experience of these virtual reality contents and devices. In contrast to the previous research on the adoption or resistance of innovative products, this work compares and analyzes the antecedents in MIR(Model of Innovation Resistance) of resistance-perspective as well as those in UTAUT2(Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) and IDT(Innovation Diffusion Theory) of adoption-perspective, and suggests a resistance-incorporated adoption model from a new viewpoint. The analysis of questionnaire data indicates the following results: Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, price value, hedonic motivation in UTAUT2 and visibility in IDT have a significant negative influence on innovation resistance. Compatibility in IDT and MIR exerts a positive influence on perceived value. Social influence and hedonic motivation in UTAUT2 positively relates to perceived value. Higher innovation resistance results in lower perceived value, with innovation resistance and perceived value negatively and positively affecting intention to use, respectively.

사용자-서브루틴과 양해법 유한 요소 해석을 이용한 선박의 유빙 저항 추정 (Ice Floe-induced Ship Resistances using Explicit Finite Element Analyses with a User-subroutine)

  • There have been many attempts to predict resistance of vessels in ice floe environment, but they mostly have both strong and weak points at the same time; for instance, simplified formulas are very fast but less flexible to types of ship and ice conditions and other numerical techniques need high computing cost for increased accuracy. A new numerical simulation technique of combining explicit finite element analysis code with a user-subroutine to control real-time forces acting on ice floes was proposed, thereby it was possible to predict ship-to-ice floe resistance with higher convenience and accuracy than other proposed approaches. The basic theory on how real-time hydrostatic and hydrodynamic forces acting on ice floes could be generated using user-subroutine was explained. The heave motion of a single ice floe was simulated using the user-subroutine and the motion amplitudes and periods were almost consistent with analytic values. Towing tests of an icebreaker model ship were simulated using explicit finite element analyses with the user-subroutine. The ice-induced resistance obtained from the towing experiments and simulations showed significant differences. Intentional increase of the drag coefficient to increase the contact duration between the ice floes and rigid model ship leaded the total resistance to be substantially consistent between the model tests and numerical simulations.

유료 모바일 애플리케이션 수용 저항 요인에 관한 분석 (Analyzing Impact Factors of User Resistance to Accepting Paid Mobile Application)

  • 최근 모바일 애플리케이션 시장이 지속적인 성장을 하고 있는 반면 유료 모바일 애플리케이션의 수익성은 저하되고 있다. 심화된 경쟁으로 인하여 유료 모바일 애플리케이션의 가격은 지속적으로 하락하는 추세이며 사용자의 유료 모바일 애플리케이션 구입이 줄어들고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 기존 연구는 모바일 애플리케이션의 수용에만 초점을 맞추고 있어 유료 모바일 애플리케이션의 수용 저항과 같은 현상을 제대로 설명하고 있지 못한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유료 모바일 애플리케이션에 대해 사용자의 수용 저항 요인을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 Stimulus-Organism-Response 모델을 기초로 유료 모바일 애플리케이션의 특성과 사회적 영향(Stimulus)이 사용자에게 지각된 손실과 지각된 혜택(Organism)으로 인지되어 애플리케이션 수용저항(Response)에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 검증하였다. 그 결과 유료 모바일 애플리케이션이 확산되지 못하고 소멸되는 현상이 지각된 손실 때문임을 설명하고 이러한 지각된 손실을 낮추기 위해 모바일 애플리케이션 개발시 초기 가격을 낮추고 부정적인 리뷰에 대해 적극적으로 대응해야 한다는 방향성을 제시하였다. 또한 개인적인 특성을 통제변수로 연구모형에 포함하여 자기효능감이 앱 수용저항을 낮출수 있다는 점을 검증하였다.

테크노스트레스가 사용자 저항과 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Technostress on User Resistance and End-User Performance)

  • 최근의 정보기술은 인간이 할 수 있는 거의 모든 영역에서 적용될 만큼 눈부신 발전을 거듭하고 있지만, 직업 상실의 위협과 같은 사건들로 인하여 개인에게는 기술로 인한 지침, 압박감과 같은 테크노스트레스를 유발시키기도 한다. 이러한 테크노스트레스는 정보기술이 중심이 될 미래 사회에서 사용자의 성과나 생산성에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 요인이기 때문에 그 관계성에 대한 연구는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 정보기술 사용자에게 발생되는 테크노스트레스가 성과에 대한 직, 간접적인 영향을 밝히고자 한다. 이를 위해서 테크노스트레스의 발생절차에 대하여 문헌검토를 통해 구체화 하였으며, 사용자의 반응에 대한 유발과 개인적 결과인 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하였다. 따라서 테크노 스트레스와 혁신저항 이론을 통합한 연구모형을 개발하였으며, 317명의 설문조사 응답 자료를 분석하였다. PLS 구조방정식과 매개회귀분석을 통한 분석결과 개인의 테크노스트레스 유발시키는 정보기술의 특성에는 급변성, 연결성, 신뢰성, 복잡성이 영향요인이었으며, 테크노스트레스는 혁신저항을 통해서 간접적으로만 최종 사용자의 성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 그동안 정보시스템 분야에서 제기되었던 테크노스트레스와 성과의 인과관계에 대하여 새로운 관점을 제시하여, 학문적이고 실무적인 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

모바일 결제 서비스의 수용-저항 동기에 대한 실증연구: 다변인 판별분석을 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on the Acceptance-Resistance Motivation to Use A Mobile Payment Service : Applying Multivariate Discriminant Analysis)

  • Purpose In recent years, mobile payment service users have been rapidly increasing. Previous researchers focused on the mobile usage situation such as the elements of mobile payment service, usage pattern, and user behaviors, and the research that is approached from the viewpoint of the user is still insufficient. The aim of this study is to suggest a acceptance-resistance motivation model of choosing a mobile payment service based on the Herzbergs Two-Factor Theory by investigating users' motivation and hygiene factors. Design/methodology/approach For the purpose, literature reviews on factors of choosing a mobile payment service were conducted and classified motivation and hygiene factors. Two hypotheses were set as follows: Hypothesis I is that motivation factors have a positive impact on the choice of mobile payment service, and Hypothesis II is that hygiene factors have a negative impact on the choice of mobile payment service. To test two hypotheses, this study conducted an online questionnaire survey and a multivariate discriminant analysis. Findings The result found that mobile payment service is more likely to be replaced with mobile by improving convenience, simplicity, and ease of use that affect the acceptance motivation of mobile payment service. This result supported the Hypothesis I but not Hypothesis II and contributed to provide implications for future mobile payment service development and marketing utilization.

조직 내 빅데이터 시스템 확산에 영향을 주는 요인에 대한 연구 (Factors for the Intra-organizational Diffusion of Big Data Systems)

  • In this paper, factors affecting intra-organizational diffusion of Big Data systems from the perspective of the Big Data system vendors have been analyzed. In particular, the theory of resistance against innovation that exists in some form before the adoption or rejection of innovation has been focused on. In order to do that, the resistance has been divided into three categories : postponement, rejection and opposition. The variables affecting each type are also divided into four independent variables : perceived risk, innovation characteristics, user attributes, and organizational attributes. As a result of the survey, it was confirmed that the influences of each variable are different according to the type of resistance. As the strength of the resistance was increased, the influence of the trialability was increased as well. As the strength of the resistance was decreased, the satisfaction with the existing system became more influential on the resistance. The time risk and the satisfaction with the existing system were found to affect all types of resistance. From the vendor's point of view, strategic implications are presented in terms of marketing or system development for diffusion, depending on the degree of resistance of the adopter.

가상현실 환경에서의 다차원적 혁신저항 구조와 혁신 제품 사용의 결정요소 (A Multi-dimensional Structure for User Resistance with the Determinants of Innovative Product Use on Virtual Reality)

  • 가상현실 상황에서 모션인식 사용자 인터페이스는 사용자 경험의 현실감을 향상시킨다. 본 연구는 모션인식 인터페이스로 활용되는 제품인 '립모션'에 대한 잠재고객들의 혁신저항 및 수용 메커니즘을 지각된 위험 이론을 기반으로 연구하였다. 기존 혁신저항 및 제품 수용에 관련된 연구들은 지각된 위험의 결과 또는 지각된 가치가 수용의도에 미치는 영향을 단면적으로 다루어 왔다. 본 연구는 수용과 저항의 다차원적 관점을 기반으로 선행연구를 종합적으로 검토하여 지각된 위험 및 가치에 영향을 미치는 선행요인들을 제시하고 지각된 위험과 가치가 혁신저항에 미치는 복합적인 역학관계를 다루고자 하였다. 분석 결과, 기존의 수용 관점 모형에 포함되었던 선행요인들이 지각된 위험을 감소시킬 수 있고, 지각된 가치가 높으면 혁신저항이 감소한다는 점을 발견하였다.
