  • This paper presents the methodology for obtaining point and interval estimating of the parameters of a new two-parameter distribution with multiple-censored and singly censored data (Type-I censoring or Type-II censoring) as well as complete data, using the maximum likelihood method. The basis is the likelihood expression for multiple-censored data. Furthermore, this model can be extended to a three-parameter distribution that is added a scale parameter. Then, the parameter estimation can be obtained by the graphical estimation on probability plot.

  • A hybrid censoring is a mixture of Type-I and Type-II censoring schemes. This paper deals with estimation based on Type-I hybrid censored samples from the half triangle distribution. We derive some estimators of the scale parameter of the half triangle distribution based on Type-I hybrid censored samples. We compare the proposed estimators in the sense of the mean squared error for various censored samples.

  • A reliability Acceptance Sampling Plan (RASP) is developed for testing the exponential mean lifetime under the periodic (i. e., equally-spaced) inspection and Type I censoring. Under the periodic inspection, the exact sampling distribution of maximum likelihood (ML) estimator of mean can not be derived. Hence sample size and acceptance criterion are determined by the algorithm proposed on the basis of Monte Carlo simulation such that the producer's and consumer's risks are satisfied for given censoring time and number of inspections. In addition, the developed RASP is compared in terms of sampling size, OC curve, and expected completion time. The effects for the RASP by the chosen inspection scheme are also discussed.

  • The inferences on a series system under the usual condition using data from constant stress partially accelerated life tests and type I censoring is studied. Two optimal designs to determine the sample proportion allocated each stress level model are also presented, which minimize the sum of the generalized asymptotic variances of maximum likelihood estimators of the failure rate and the acceleration factors and the sum of the asymptotic variances of maximum likelihood estimators of the acceleration factors for each component. Each component of a system is assumed to follow an exponenial distribution.

  • This paper proposes the step-stress type-I censoring model for analyzing the data of accelerated life test and reducing the time of accelerated life test. In order to obtain the data of accelerated life test, the step-stress accelerated life test was run with voltage stress to CMOS Hex Buffer. The Weibull distribution, the Inverse-power-law model and Maximum likelihood method were used. The iterative procedure using modified-quasi-linearization method is applied to solve the nonlinear equation. The proposed Weibull step-stress type-I censoring model exactly estimases the life time of units, while reducting the time of accelerated life test and the equipments of test.

  • Chandrasekar et al. (2004) introduced a generalized Type-II hybrid censoring. In this paper, we propose generalized doubly Type-II hybrid censoring. In addition, this paper presents the statistical inference on the scale parameter for the half logistic distribution when samples are generalized doubly Type-II hybrid censoring. The approximate maximum likelihood(AMLE) method is developed to estimate the unknown parameter. The scale parameter is estimated by the AMLE method using two di erent Taylor series expansion types. We compar the AMLEs in the sense of the mean square error(MSE). The simulation procedure is repeated 10,000 times for the sample size n = 20; 30; 40 and various censored samples. The $AMLE_I$ is better than $AMLE_{II}$ in the sense of the MSE.

  • One of the main objective of manufacturing industries is to assess the capability performance of different processes. In this paper, we use the lifetime performance index $C_L$ as a criterion to measure larger-the-better type quality characteristic for evaluating the product performance. The lifetimes of products are assumed to follow a general class of inverted exponentiated distributions. We use maximum likelihood estimator to estimate the lifetime performance index under the assumption that data are progressive type I interval censored. We also obtain asymptotic distribution of this estimator. Based on this estimator, a new hypothesis testing procedure is developed with respect to a given lower specification limit. Finally, two numerical examples are discussed in support of the proposed testing procedure.

  • The exponenetiated distribution has been used in reliability and survival analysis especially when the data is censored. In this paper, we derive Bayesian estimation of shape parameter and reliability function in the exponenetiated half triangle distribution based on Type-I hybrid censored data. Here we consider conjugate prior and noninformative prior and obtained corresponding posterior distributions. As an illustration, the mean square errors of the estimates are computed. Comparisons are made between these estimators using Monte Carlo simulation study.

  • This paper suggests optimal accelerated constant stress life tests in Exponential distribution. The relationship between the log-mean life and the loaded stress is assumed to be linear. Optimal plans considering mean square errors of maximum likelihood estimators of the log mean life and test costs are obtained. We consider accelerated life tests with two stress levels, and as data types, failure censoring( type II) and time censoring(type I) data are used. We propose the procedure to obtain the optimal plans for each case. Some examples are also included.
