Transfer Learning-Based Feature Fusion Model for Classification of Maneuver Weapon Systems

  • Convolutional neural network-based deep learning technology is the most commonly used in image identification, but it requires large-scale data for training. Therefore, application in specific fields in which data acquisition is limited, such as in the military, may be challenging. In particular, the identification of ground weapon systems is a very important mission, and high identification accuracy is required. Accordingly, various studies have been conducted to achieve high performance using small-scale data. Among them, the ensemble method, which achieves excellent performance through the prediction average of the pre-trained models, is the most representative method; however, it requires considerable time and effort to find the optimal combination of ensemble models. In addition, there is a performance limitation in the prediction results obtained by using an ensemble method. Furthermore, it is difficult to obtain the ensemble effect using models with imbalanced classification accuracies. In this paper, we propose a transfer learning-based feature fusion technique for heterogeneous models that extracts and fuses features of pre-trained heterogeneous models and finally, fine-tunes hyperparameters of the fully connected layer to improve the classification accuracy. The experimental results of this study indicate that it is possible to overcome the limitations of the existing ensemble methods by improving the classification accuracy through feature fusion between heterogeneous models based on transfer learning.

공무원교육의 현업적용도 영향요인과 정책적 제고방안 (A Study on Enhancing Transfer Effect of Learning on Education for Local Public Service Personnel)

  • 본 연구는 강원도 공무원에 대한 교육의 현업적용도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 실증분석을 통해 찾아내고, 현업적용도를 높일 수 있는 정책적 방안을 도출하여 공무원교육의 양적 질적 개선을 도모하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이에 공무원 교육 후 현업적용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 크게 학습자 내적특성, 교육내용 및 설계, 직무수행환경 등 3가지로 구분하여 분석하고, 각 영향요인을 도움(촉진)요인과 방해요인으로 구분하여 도움요인들은 더욱 활성화시키고 방해요인은 제거하는 방식으로 교육과정 설계에 적용할 수 있는 대응방안을 설계하였다. 강원도 공무원교육 현업적용도 제고를 위한 제언으로 역량모델링에 따른 교육설계, 강원도 자체 교육프로그램 설계 및 교육 후 관리제도의 강화를 제시하였다.

표준화환자 활용 정신간호학 융합시뮬레이션 실습에 대한 간호학생의 학습만족도가 전이동기에 미치는 영향: 학습자기효능감의 매개효과 (The Impact of Nursing Students' Learning Satisfaction on Motivation to Transfer in the Practicum of Psychiatric Nursing Convergence Simulation Using Standardized Patients: Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy in learning)

  • 본 연구는 임상실무에 접하기 전 표준화환자를 활용한 정신간호 융합 시뮬레이션 실습을 받은 간호학생의 학습 만족도와 전이동기와의 관계에서 학습자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사 연구이다. 연구대상은 144명의 3학년 간호학생이었다. 자료분석은 기술통계, t-test, one-way ANOVA, 상관분석을 하였고, Baron & Kenny의 다중회귀분석과 Sobel test를 하였다. 연구결과, 학습만족도와 학습자기효능감(r=.686, p<.001), 학습만족도와 전이 동기(r=.633, p<.001), 학습자기효능감과 전이동기(r=.804, p<.001)간 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 학습자기효능감은 학습만족도와 전이동기와의 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다.(Z=7.63, p<.001). 교육에서 습득한 지식과 기술을 실무에 적용하고자 하는 전이동기를 높이기 위해서 간호대학생의 학습자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 전략이 요구된다.

  • 21세기에 들어서며 인터넷의 전세계적인 보급과 그 활성화로 인해, 인터넷은 현대인의 생활에서 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 화두가 되었다. 컴퓨터와 인터넷의 대중적 보급과 더불어 일상생활은 물론 사회 전반의 전개 양상이 변화하였다. 급격한 사회 변화에 따라 변화하는 학습자의 특성과 사회 요구를 잘 파악하여 미래사회에 필요한 인재를 육성하는 방향으로 교육의 목적과 방법 변화가 요구된다. 이를 위해 최근 사용자가 주체가 되는 웹 2.0과 교육을 연결시켜 새로운 학습 방법을 고안하려는 움직임이 다수 보이고 있다. 웹 2.0의 다양한 요소들 가운데에서도 블로그는 개인이 주체가 되어 운영한다는 점과 블로거들끼리의 상호작용이 활발하다는 점에서, 학습에 이용할 때 학습자 중심의 학습과 다양한 의견을 가진 학습자들끼리의 활발한 토론을 이끌어낼 수 있으리라 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 블로그를 활용한 학습을 설계하여 실제 학습자들을 대상으로 활용해보고, 블로그를 활용한 학습이 학습자의 학업성취와 학습흥미, 학습전이에 어떤 효과가 있는지 분석하고자 한다.

본사 자원과 메커니즘의 유사성과 격차가 합작투자기업의 학습효과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Resource, Mechanism Relatedness and Gap on International Knowledge Transfer)

  • This research examines the effect of the relatedness and the gap between Resources and mechanisms on effectiveness of inter-organizational knowledge transfer. According to the literature, there has been a competing theory between two claims; one is that inter-organizational knowledge transfer will be more effective due to the reduction of the transaction cost as the relatedness increases. And the other is that the mutual complementarity of different organizational characteristics will increase synergy. In total, the relatedness and the gap of the Resource and mechanism makes the inverted U-shaped relationship with the inter-organizational knowledge transfer. As the result of empirical analysis about 109 Korean-based Joint Ventures entered country, it shows that the relatedness of parent company's production Resources, learning mechanisms, and coordination mechanisms made the inverted U-shaped relations with the inter-organizational knowledge transfer and the gap of production Resources and adjustment mechanism formed the same relationship. However, the U-shaped relationship has been established in the relatedness of market Resources, but the gap of market Resources and the learning mechanism was not statistically significant. Through this study, I can draw a best conclusion that the inter-organizational knowledge transfer will be more effective when the relatedness and the gap of management resources and mechanisms is in optimal level. However, when it comes to market Resources, it can be inferred that the result could be the opposite because the partner country's market environment would be different.

Effects of Scaffolding Types and Individual Metacognition Levels on Learning Achievement in Online Collaborative Argumentation

  • This study examined the effects of scaffolding types (Toulmin's Argument Pattern: TAP or Argumentation Vee Diagram: AVD) and individual metacognition levels (low or high) on students' learning achievement in online collaborative argumentation. A total of 191 Chinese undergraduates took part in this study. They were randomly assigned to either the TAP scaffolding, AVD scaffolding, or no scaffolding condition. They were teamed up in small groups of two or three students to argue with their peers using SNS as the online collaborative argumentation environment. The results revealed that students in the TAP and AVD scaffolding conditions did not gain significantly higher retention or transfer scores than students without scaffolding. However, students in the TAP scaffolding condition significantly outperformed those in the AVD scaffolding condition on transfer scores. Individual metacognition did not significantly affect learning achievement in online collaborative argumentation. Additionally, there was no significant interaction effect between scaffolding types and individual metacognition levels on retention or on transfer. The findings have implications for scaffolding design for online collaborative argumentation and also suggest that more attention should be paid to social metacognition rather than to individual metacognition when students work collaboratively.

외식창업자의 심리적 특성과 주변환경이 학습전이효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Psychological Traits and Environment on Learning Transfer of the Restaurant Entrepreneurship Education)

  • 본 연구는 외식창업교육프로그램의 효과를 학습전이체제목록(LTSI)에 창업교육자의 선유경향인 심리적 특성을 포함하여 외식창업교육프로그램의 학습전이효과를 규명하고자 구조방정식 모형 분석을 통해 5가지 가설을 검증하였다. 모형 적합도는 ${\chi}^2$=282.585, df=233, p=.015, GFI=.95, AGFI=.92, NFI=.96, RMR=.050, RMSEA=.023 등으로 조사되었다. 분석결과, 심리적특성의 성취욕구요인과 모호성수용요인 모두가 창업교육에 대한 태도에 정(+)의 영향관계가 존재하였으며, 주변환경요인도 창업교육에 대한 태도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 창업교육에 대한 태도도 창업교육 만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 교육만족은 학습전이에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러나 5가지 연구가설이 모두 채택되었다. 분석결과를 토대로 현재 실시되고 있는 창업교육프로그램의 학습전이효과에 대한 이론적 시사점과 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

Identification of shear transfer mechanisms in RC beams by using machine-learning technique

  • Machine learning technique is recently opening new opportunities to identify the complex shear transfer mechanisms of reinforced concrete (RC) beam members. This study employed 1224 shear test specimens to train decision tree-based machine learning (ML) programs, by which strong correlations between shear capacity of RC beams and key input parameters were affirmed. In addition, shear contributions of concrete and shear reinforcement (the so-called Vc and Vs) were identified by establishing three independent ML models trained under different strategies with various combinations of datasets. Detailed parametric studies were then conducted by utilizing the well-trained ML models. It appeared that the presence of shear reinforcement can make the predicted shear contribution from concrete in RC beams larger than the pure shear contribution of concrete due to the intervention effect between shear reinforcement and concrete. On the other hand, the size effect also brought a significant impact on the shear contribution of concrete (Vc), whereas, the addition of shear reinforcements can effectively mitigate the size effect. It was also found that concrete tends to be the primary source of shear resistance when shear span-depth ratio a/d<1.0 while shear reinforcements become the primary source of shear resistance when a/d>2.0.

  • The recent entry into information society as well as the development and universalization of the Internet through rapid development of ICT technology produced a new educational method called PMP learning. PMP learning overcomes restrictions of previous education methods in terms of time and space and allows the learners to customize their learning environments according to their leads, providing voluntary education that centers on the learners. This study aims to verify the causal relationship in academic achievement of PMP learners through the theory of basic psychological desire, learning satisfaction, and learning metastasis. In order to accomplish this, a study model which applies perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relationship, which are major variables of the theory of basic psychological desire, was presented. For practical verification of the study model, survey analysis was conducted for students of R High School in Hamyang. Through this, the study aims to provide basic materials for improving the academic achievement of learners in PMP learning. It also plans to suggest educational effects that can be obtained by supporting intrinsic motivation of learners.

Effect of deep transfer learning with a different kind of lesion on classification performance of pre-trained model: Verification with radiolucent lesions on panoramic radiographs

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to clarify the influence of training with a different kind of lesion on the performance of a target model. Materials and Methods: A total of 310 patients(211 men, 99 women; average age, 47.9±16.1 years) were selected and their panoramic images were used in this study. We created a source model using panoramic radiographs including mandibular radiolucent cyst-like lesions (radicular cyst, dentigerous cyst, odontogenic keratocyst, and ameloblastoma). The model was simulatively transferred and trained on images of Stafne's bone cavity. A learning model was created using a customized DetectNet built in the Digits version 5.0 (NVIDIA, Santa Clara, CA). Two machines(Machines A and B) with identical specifications were used to simulate transfer learning. A source model was created from the data consisting of ameloblastoma, odontogenic keratocyst, dentigerous cyst, and radicular cyst in Machine A. Thereafter, it was transferred to Machine B and trained on additional data of Stafne's bone cavity to create target models. To investigate the effect of the number of cases, we created several target models with different numbers of Stafne's bone cavity cases. Results: When the Stafne's bone cavity data were added to the training, both the detection and classification performances for this pathology improved. Even for lesions other than Stafne's bone cavity, the detection sensitivities tended to increase with the increase in the number of Stafne's bone cavities. Conclusion: This study showed that using different lesions for transfer learning improves the performance of the model.
