2015 개정교육과정에 따른 초등학교 교과서의 SW·AI 요소 분석 연구 (An Analysis Study of SW·AI elements of Primary Textbooks based on the 2015 Revised National Curriculum)

  • 본 논문에서는 2015 개정교육과정에 기반한 초등학교 국어, 사회, 도덕, 수학, 과학 교과서 총 44종의 교과서를 대상으로 SW·AI 요소와 CT 요소의 반영 정도를 조사·분석하였다. 분석결과, ICT 요소인 자료수집, 자료분석, 자료표현 활동이 대부분이었으며, SW·AI 내용요소중 알고리즘, 프로그래밍 요소는 반영되지 않았고, CT 요소중 추상화, 자동화, 일반화 요소도 없었다. 그러므로 초등 교과에서 SW·AI 융합교육이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해 ICT 활용 활동을 SW·AI 활용 활동으로 확대하고, 현장 교사를 대상으로 SW·AI 융합교육의 이해와 SW·AI를 활용한 교수학습방법 개선에 대한 연수가 필요하다. 그리고 내실 있는 SW·AI 교육을 위해 정보교과 신설 및 별도 시수 확보가 필요하다.

Acceptance and Effectiveness of Distance Learning in Public Education in Saudi Arabia During Covid19 Pandemic: Perspectives from Students, Teachers and Parents

  • The movement control order and shutting down educational institution in Saudi Arabia has jeopardized the teaching and learning process. Education was shifted to distance learning in order to avoid any academic loss. In the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, there is a need to assess the full image of e-learning in Saudi Arabia. To investigate student and teachers' perception and acceptance, parents' attitudes and believes about distance education are the main goals of the study. The mix-method research design was employed to collect data. Three surveys were distributed to 100 students and 50 teachers and 50 parents from different educational institutions in Saudi Arabia, while semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 parents. Random stratified and convenient sampling methods were adopted. Both descriptive and content analysis was conducted using SPSS25.0 and NVIVO software for quantitative and qualitative data accordingly. The findings showed that students are comfortable with remote education and are receiving enough support from schools and instructors but they think online education can't replace conventional face-to-face learning. Moreover, the results showed that teachers are having challenges in preparing online classes because of the development of conducting online classes and the lack of training. However, parents showed negative attitudes regarding the benefits and values of remote education and preferred conventional learning styles in elementary schools. Parents tended to reject and resist distance learning for several reasons: professional knowledge and lack of time to support their young kids in online classes, the shortcomings of e-learning, young children's inadequate self-regulation. Saudi parents are neither trained nor ready to use e-learning. The study provided suggestion and implications for teacher education and policymakers.

증강현실 기반 전자회로 교육 시스템 개발 (Development of Augmented Reality Based Electronic Circuit Education System)

  • 본 논문은 ICT 융합기술 분야의 기초가 되는 전자회로 교육을 위한 방법으로 증강현실 기반 전자회로 교육 시스템을 제안한다. 시스템은 실제 회로를 확인할 수 있는 하드웨어 모듈과 증강현실 기술을 적용하여 전류의 흐름, 입·출력, 측정값을 확인할 수 있는 모바일 교육 콘텐츠로 구성된다. 시스템의 안정적인 동작을 목적으로 주요 성능인 이미지 인식에 대한 실험을 진행하였고, 실험 방법은 하드웨어 모듈과 모바일 기기까지의 거리를 일정 간격으로 변경하여 인식률을 측정하였다. 실험 결과 25[Cm] 이상의 거리에서는 인식률 100%를 보였고, 25[Cm] 이하부터는 인식률이 12% 저하되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이는 거리가 근접하여 촬영된 이미지 손실에서 발생하는 오류의 영향이라 할 수 있다. 향후 본 논문에서 제시하는 교육 시스템을 수업에 적용할 계획이며, 이는 수업의 효율성을 높이며 학생의 흥미유발 및 교과에 대한 이해도를 향상시킨다.

초등학교 실과 교육과정 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 개선방안 (Teachers' Perceptions of Software Education in Elementary School Practical Arts Curriculum and Improvement Plan)

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대가 시작되고 소프트웨어의 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 교육도 이를 반영하게 되었다. 이미 여러 나라에서 소프트웨어 교육을 실시하고 있으며, 우리나라도 2015 개정 교육과정이 적용되는 2019년부터 정규 교육과정에서 소프트웨어 교육을 시작하게 되었다. 본 연구는 초등학교 실과 교육과정에서 처음으로 소프트웨어 교육을 실시한 교사들의 느낀 점과 어려움을 바탕으로 소프트웨어 교육 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 2019년 초등학교에서 소프트웨어 교육을 담당한 교사 96명을 대상으로 개인 역량, 수업 운영 방식, 교과서 및 교육자료, 수업 운영 내용, 교육환경과 관련하여 36개의 문항으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그 중 3명을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과 교육 시설과 환경 개선, 양질의 수업자료 개발 및 보급 활성화, 교사 대상의 참여형 연수와 교사 동아리 지원 확대 등의 개선사항이 필요함을 확인하였다.

Learners' Responses to a Virtual Cadaver Dissection Nerve Course in the COVID Era: A Survey Study

  • Background Virtual education is an evolving method for teaching medical learners. During the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, remote learning has provided a replacement for conferences, lectures, and meetings, but has not been described as a method for conducting a cadaver dissection. We aim to demonstrate how learners perceive a virtual cadaver dissection as an alternative to live dissection. Methods A virtual cadaver dissection was performed to demonstrate several upper extremity nerve procedures. These procedures were livestreamed as part of an educational event with multimedia and interactive audience questions. Participants were queried both during and after the session regarding their perceptions of this teaching modality. Results Attendance of a virtual dissection held for three plastic surgery training institutions began at 100 and finished with 70 participants. Intrasession response rates from the audience varied between 68 and 75%, of which 75% strongly agreed that they were satisfied with the virtual environment. The audience strongly agreed or agreed that the addition of multimedia captions (88%), magnified video loupe views (82%), and split-screen multicast view (64%) was beneficial. Postsession response rate was 27%, and generally reflected a positive perspective about the content of the session. Conclusions Virtual cadaver dissection is an effective modality for teaching surgical procedures and can be enhanced through technologies such as video loupes and multiple camera perspectives. The audience viewed the virtual cadaver dissection as a beneficial adjunct to surgical education. This format may also make in-person cadaver courses more effective by improving visualization and allowing for anatomic references to be displayed synchronously.

The Formation of Managerial Competence of the Future Head of Preschool Education by Means of Information and Communication Technologies

  • The article deals with the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution by means of information and communication technology as a prerequisite for his ability to act competently and objectively evaluate actions and understand the interaction of forms and content of preschool education. The article aimed to study the effectiveness of information and communication technologies in the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution. To achieve the objectives, the methods of comparative and systematic analysis were used to compare different views on the problem under study, namely, the formation of managerial competence of the future head of preschool education institution by means of information and communication technologies. The authors of the article determined that the use of information and communication technologies in the preparation of future heads of preschool educational institutions is of great importance and is an indicator in the structure of managerial competence. The priority directions of the use of various software products for the study of the modern Ukrainian language, methods of teaching the Ukrainian language contribute to the intensification of learning material. It is noted that the current state of development of information technologies and their widespread use in education satisfies the requirements of the objectivity of the assessment obtained the quality of the control process of forming the managerial competence of the future leader in the context of the general problems of pre-school education. It is noted that the means of information and communication technologies play a leading role in creating new educational policies and projects, as they motivate the way of access to knowledge.

혼합현실 기반 중증외상 처치 시뮬레이션 교육 요구 조사: 군병원 간호사 대상 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 적용 (Educational needs of severe trauma treatment simulation based on mixed reality: Applying focus group interviews to military hospital nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the educational needs of a severe trauma treatment simulation program based on mixed reality which combines element of both virtual reality and augmented reality. Methods: Focus group interviews were conducted with ten military hospital nurses on February 4 and 5, 2021. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative content analysis. As a framework for data analysis, the educational needs were clustered into the following four categories: teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching evaluation, and teaching environment. Results: The educational needs for each category that emerged were as follows: three subcategories including "realistic education reflecting actual clinical practice" and "motivating education" for teaching contents; five subcategories including "team-based education," "repeated education that acts as embodied learning," and "stepwise education" for teaching methods; six subcategories including "debriefing through video conferences," "team evaluation and evaluator in charge of the team," "combination of knowledge and practice evaluation" for teaching evaluation; six subcategories including "securing safety," "similar settings to real clinical environments," "securing of convenience and accessibility for learners," and "operating as continuing education" for teaching environment. Conclusion: The findings of this study can provide a guide for the development and operation of a severe trauma treatment simulation program based on mixed reality. Moreover, it suggests that research to identify the educational needs of various learners should be conducted.

뷰티관광 활성화를 위한 교육과정 개선 방안 연구: IPA를 중심으로 (The Study on the Improvement of Curriculum for the Development of Beauty Tourism: Focusing on IPA)

  • 본 연구는 뷰티관광 교육과정의 중요도-만족도의 차이를 분석하여 뷰티관광 활성화를 위한 교육과정의 개선을 목적으로 한다. 뷰티관광산업 종사자를 대상으로 온·오프라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며 208개의 유효표본을 활용하여 IPA분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 모든 교육내용에 대한 중요도와 만족도는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개선이 필요한 교육내용은 없는 것으로 나타났으며 지속 및 유지가 필요한 교육과정은 현장실습, 전공실무, 서비스 및 매너, 고객상담, 고객관리, 마케팅, 대인관계 등으로 나타났다. 우선순위가 낮은 교육내용은 외국어, 다문화 이해, 관광학, 뷰티경영 등으로 나타났으며 과잉 노력을 지양이 필요한 교육내용은 전공 이론인 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 뷰티관광 활성화를 위한 교육과정 개선 방향을 제시하였다.

Learning a Foreign Language Using Information Technologies for Comfortable Implementation of the Professional Position of a Future Specialist in a Foreign Language Environment

  • At the present stage, the main directions of the professional position of a specialist in the implementation of English-language Education are to improve and spread the practice of learning languages throughout a person's life by involving information, communication and digital technologies in the educational process. Computerization of the educational process in Higher Education Institutions is considered as one of the first and most promising areas for improving the quality of education in Higher Education Institutions. The necessity of ensuring timely training and retraining of specialists of various profiles (in particular teachers) on the effective use of domestic and foreign electronic resources with the help of modern information technologies for the implementation of the professional position of a future specialist in a foreign-language environment is noted. The main goal of teaching a foreign language (the formation of students' communicative competence, which means mastering the language as a means of intercultural communication) is defined. The types of speech activity that cover the content of teaching a foreign language are highlighted. The main types of assessment in a foreign language are shown - current (non-classroom), thematic, semester, annual assessment and final state certification. The task of the teacher is drawn, which is to create conditions for practical language acquisition for each student, to choose such teaching methods by means of information technologies that would allow each student to show their activity, their creativity; to activate the cognitive activity of the student in the process of learning a foreign language.

Implementation of Unity's Catastrophic Situation Driving Training Simulator for the Disabled

  • 장애인의 운전 교육 이수 과정은 어려움과 불편한 부분들이 많다. 운전 교육 내용 부분에서도 실제 운전 주행 중 예측할 수 없는 다양한 돌발상황들이 발생한다. 현재 시행하고 있는 운전 교육 과정에서도 돌발상황에 대한 교육들이 이루어지고 있으나, 다양한 돌발상황에 대처하는 교육은 미비하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유니티 기반의 장애인 운전 교육 시뮬레이터를 제안한다. 유니티를 이용하여 다양한 돌발상황에 대한 시나리오를 구성하여 시뮬레이터를 제작한다. 피실험자들을 통하여 모의주행을 실시하여, 평가항목에 따른 기존의 돌발상황에 대한 대처 점수를 평가한다. 기존의 운전 교육 시뮬레이터에 비해 제안 시스템의 돌발상황에 대한 대처 능력의 평가점수가 높게 나온 것으로 확인되었다. 제안 시스템을 활용하면 돌발상황에 대한 대처 능력 향상과 실제감 높은 운전 체험을 통하여 삶의 질을 높이는 것을 기대할 수 있다.
