A characteristic test of Auxiliary power supply for High Speed Rolling stock 350 experimental (HSR-350x) (한국형고속열차 보조전원장치 특성시험)

  • Auxiliary power supply developed by domestic technology has very important function that not only effect on main power converter & inverter system, traction motor and train control system which are related to performance of train, but also influence on power supply for HVAC(Heat, Ventilation, Air-conditioning) and lighting device which are related to comfort of passengers. This paper shows characteristic test results of auxiliary power supply such as working condition and performance, which is associated with velocity of train, operating mode and surrounding equipment, through test running. And, it propose a modification of design parameter for stabilizing operation and improving reliability.

  • This paper presents a modelling methodology using fuzzy logic and train performance simulation for determining an economical running pattern for a high speed train which minimizes energy consumption under an given trip margin. The economical running pattern is defined with an economical maximum speed in traction phase, a speed at the end of coasting. As a case study, the simulation is carried out for an economical run of korea high speed train prototype, and the results of fuzzy model described.

  • A propulsion system apparatus for railroad vehicle is estimated it's performance because of safety and confidence. In general, flywheel type testing method is widely used in the equipment. However, mechanical inertia generated by the flywheel can not be varied (or controlled) and can not be represent actual running resistance. In this study, we have focused on the development of variable vehicle load generation. Therefore, we have proposed the method which uses variable vehicle load controlled by vector motor to get the characteristics of the real vehicle load and confirmed the results with those of computer simulations.

  • The imbalance at the 3-phase side at the railway power supply substation has been a well-known issue. Due to the difference in status of loads at each phase at any given moment, it is difficult to maintain the balance in the 2-phase side of the transformer. Consequently, the 3-phase side also presents a certain level of imbalance as well. A co-phase power supply was proposed as a solution. The real application of such system is gradually expanding, proving the effectiveness of the system. In this paper, the application of the single phase D-Q rotating frame theory was applied to the control of the co-phase power supply system. In addition, the power stack of the system was composed of MMC valves, which offers superior operational characteristics. The effectiveness of the system was verified with a real-time simulation, and the results are presented.

  • Induction Motor is important at tilting train. Tiling train induction motor should be operated to commercial servicespeed 180km/h at Korea Conventional Line upgrade railroad. As the induction motors are without commutators, maintenance is easy and it is far lighter than the conventional motors with the same capacity. The induction motor, however, posed problems in use as its motor torque is not large enough compared with DC motors. With the recent advances in power semiconductors, it is possible to apply the induction motors to trains by applying VVVF inverter control method to the traction motor. In this study, we realize the stable measurement AC motor temperature characteristic of TTX train.

  • 비대칭 배리어 방법으로 설계된 견인용 매입형 영구자석동기전동기(IPMSM)에 대한 최대토크 제어기법을 Simplorer기반 시뮬레이션해석에 의해 고찰한다. 그리고 레졸버와 R/D 컨버터를 이용하여 회전자의 절대위치를 검출하고, 이를 위한 절대 위치 검출회로 및 제어보드를 제작하여 이에 대한 유효성을 실험을 통해 성능을 확인한다.

  • There are many increasing demands for efficient high power density of auxiliary power unit(APU) for high speed traction application. Many techniques have been proposed to measure the voltage flicker on the traditional pulse width modulation(PWM) inverter. This paper proposes a novel functionality of the static inverter on the APU to mitigate the voltage flicker and regulate the output voltage. A new control algorithm for the inverter based on the Hilbert transform(HT) is presented. The HT is employed as an effective technique for tracking the voltage flicker levels in APU systems. Simulation results are provided to verify the tracking capabilities of the HT and to evaluate the performance of the proposed DG interface for multi-function operation.

  • The deterioration analysis of electric systems in diesel electric locomotives, which were used for over 30 years, was performed to understand current wear and safety information. The electric systems include electric generation, traction motors, control units, high-voltage cables, and wires. In this investigation, various types of performance testing, such as insulation resistance measurement and degradation tests, were conducted to assess the degree of current deterioration. Moreover, an infrared camera was employed to verify abnormal heating in cables and wires. In this paper, the new techniques for evaluation of deterioration in electric systems have been introduced.

  • The recent trains are almost being operated by the mechanical propulsion force to drive the gear and wheel with the traction motor. However Magnetic Levitation Vehicle is differently operated. Magnetic Levitation Vehicle is applied with Linear Induction Motor(LIM) that has many advantage like to high capability of going up to slope, low noise, easy to control of speed. So domestic and many advanced countries are interested in Magnetic Levitation Vehicle and they have been studying about it continuously. Thus this paper is studied the LIM test method of static states and guess the optimum driving point by characteristic of static states for LIM. The test items are measurement of thrust force by changed air gap, measurement of thrust force and normal force by changed slip frequency etc.

  • 본 논문에서는 2개의 브러쉬리스 AC 모터로 구동하는 레일 트랙션 시스템의 설계와 위치제어 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 시스템의 설계에서 롤러와 레일 사이의 미끄러짐 효과를 줄이기 위해 롤러가 레일의 상단 표면에 위치하는 구조로 설계하였다. 레일의 지지대가 상단 중앙에 위치해 있어 두 개의 날개 형태로 롤러가 제작되었으며, 각각의 롤러는 BLAC 모터와 연결되어 있다. 위치제어의 성능을 높이기 위해 코사인 가감속 패턴을 활용하여 구동 시 전류와 속도의 리플을 억제한다. 두 모터의 비선형적인 부하에 의한 밸런스오차를 줄이기 위해 실시간 위치 변화의 밸런스 제어를 제안한다. 제안된 듀얼 BLAC 모터로 구동하는 트랙선 시스템의 위치제어성능은 비교실험을 통해 검증되었다.
