The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in toddler teachers' perception and application of the contents of the Standard Educare Curriculum. The participants of this study were 205 toddler teachers in charge of two-year-old children at childcare centers in Jollanamdo. For the survey, a questionnaire was prepared for the purposes of this study based on the contents of the $3^{rd}$ Standard Educare Curriculum. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 through frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, paired sample t test, independent sample t test, F test, and Duncan's post hoc test. The results are as follows. First, toddler teachers' perception of the contents of the National Standard Educare Curriculum was high, and the level of understanding was higher than when their academic degree was high. Second, toddler teachers' application of the contents of the Standard Educare Curriculum was relatively high. Third, there was a significant difference between toddler teachers' perception of the contents of the Standard Educare Curriculum and their actual application of the contents.

Prior to main study. pilot interviews with 10 of each group according to check-list are performed. Data for main study is collected through check-list from September 10 to October 10. 1973 from 100 of each group. All responses of questionnaire item are categories into 4 aspects; health education, environmental sanitation qualification of school health nurses and social aspect of school. Results of study are as follows; 1. Differences on role perception of school health nurses and role expectation of teachers is revealed-non-significant by .05〈P〈.10 level. while between students is shown significant difference by P〈.005 level, in health education role of school hearth nurses. 2. The environmental sanitation category of school health nurses role: non-significant difference is revealed between teachers and school health nurses by. 05〈P〈.10 level, and significant difference-is revealed by P〈.05 level. 3. Difference in value orientation of school health nurses' personal quality; students and teachers differ with school health nurses by P〈.025 1eve1. 4. Social aspect of school in the community aspect: non-significant differences are revealed by.05〈P〈.10 level between air three groups. Conclusions: 1. Role perception of school health nurses is most closely correlated with their role expectation. Some individual differences are noted between items, and aspects. 2. Role perception of school health nurses is more closely correlated than that of with role expectation of teachers than that of students. The purposes of this study are to investigate Korean science teachers' perception on the science gifted education in Korea, and to investigate if there are differences on their perception among the science teachers whose institutes are different. Their institutes are divided into three groups, which are the formal schools for the gifted in science such as Science High-School, gifted education centers attached to district education authority, and general secondary schools. For the study, 266 science teachers were sampled from the schools in Busan Metro-city, Ulsan Metro-city, and Kyoungnam Province, and then questionnaire developed by the authors were administered to them. The research results are as follows. Firstly, teachers who were going to participate in special education for the gifted in science answered affirmatively, and they thought it seemed worthwhile. On the other hand teachers who were not going to participate in it, answered negatively, mentioning shortage in specialty or extra work overload. Secondly, only the Korean Educational Development Institute was too much preferred by science teachers for teacher training institute for the gifted education in science. Therefore, it is needed to extend the teacher training institutes for the gifted education in science throughout the country. Thirdly, the perception of science teachers on the constitution of a class for the gifted in science is very different among the teachers of formal schools for the gifted in science and the teachers who teach science part time when it is needed in the district institutes for the gifted education. Finally, the perception on the aims of special education for the gifted in science is very different between the teachers who teach the gifted in science and the teachers who do not teach them.

The purpose of this study is to figure out the influence on the students' achievement of the cognitive and the affective domains by descriptive items assessment of teacher or peer and to obtain implications by analyzing the students' satisfaction and the reliability of the assessment. For this purpose, two classes of 11th grade students located in a small city were selected and took an exam related to the cognitive and the affective domains before and after the assessment. The assessment activities were carried out during 10 lessons and the teacher gave feedback to the students of the teacher assessment class in the lessons. In the peer assessment class, a small-size student group discussion and feedback were given to the students after the exam. The results show that higher level achievement group students represented relatively positive satisfaction on teacher assessment, and lower level achievement group students represented positive satisfaction on peer assessment. In spite of the same marker list, higher level achievement group students represent relatively high reliability than lower level achievement group students. The lower level achievement group students in the peer assessment class got statistically meaningful improvement of achievement than the students of teacher assessment class. The peer assessment activity was positively influenced on the affective domain of the lower level achievement group students, especially signigicant meaning of statistics was found on the students' perception about science.

This study attempts to extract the necessary criteria as a secondary school home economics teacher through the factor analysis, and to analysis the teacher's and student's perceptions for the requirement criteria of home economics teacher(RCHET) thereof to confirm the necessary criteria as a secondary school home economics teachers. This research was based on the requirement criteria of home economics teacher developed by Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE) Korean Home Economics Education Association(2008)(KHEEA) collected from secondary, upper secondary school home economics teachers and students in Jeollabuk-do. RCHET encompasses the six areas : (l)'Expert of lesson related to evaluation' (2)'Efficient manager of diverse materials for study', (3)'Student advisor equipped with a teaching sense of duty and sound humanity', (4)'Curriculum expert equipped with a expertise knowledge', (5)'A fair and democratic schoolroom environment promoter'. (6)'Career path counselling expert understanding student's characteristics and environments'. Through the factor analysis, six RCHET factors are more important to teachers than students. According to importance perception for RCHET, home economics teachers' qualification for minor second subject and participation of training program showed similar differences statistically in all RCHET factors. Thus, effort for expertise improvement of teacher had important influence on expertise improvement of teacher. As a result of examining the differences from importance evaluation for RCHET, similar differences from frequence of home project, preference of home economics teacher, manual training and home economics score, interest of home economics showed statistically.

The purpose of this study is to analyze current status and teacher librarians' perceptions of school library space composition and indoor environment, and propose some methods for the school library to be a basic educational facility. The space most secured by the 126 teacher librarians who participated in the survey was the free reading area, and the space with the lowest level was the media production and group project area. The most important types of spaces for teacher librarians are the teaching area and the free reading area, while the recognition of the importance of media production and group project areas is relatively low. Among the elements of indoor environmental assessment, they showed that safety and comfort were the most important but diversity and flexibility were relatively less important. The result of this analysis is different from the school and library policy direction that emphasizes the learning commons and maker spaces. Teacher librarians still seem to appreciate the importance of traditional library space. Therefore, it is necessary to include the establishment and operation of maker spaces and learning commons in the teacher librarians training and retraining process. In addition, it is necessary to increase the participation of users such as teachers, students, and parents in space composition and interior design initiatives to increase the user's interior environment satisfaction.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide basic information for establishing improvements on performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers. Methods: For subjects, 200 teachers at public elementary schools and 200 health teachers at public elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do were conveniently sampled, and then surveyed through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was to recognize recognition of teachers working under the teacher's performance-based pay system, which was quoted in the questionnaire of Choi ji-hye (2005) and Lee mi-gyeong (2008). Inquiry for the recognition of teachers on evaluation of health teacher's performance-based pay system and improvements on the performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers were used after consultation with five incumbent health teachers and a review with the thesis director. Results: The performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers has the same method with general teachers in schools, so it is not fair to evaluate the performance of health teachers. The ways to improve the performance-based pay evaluation method of health teachers is as follows: first, the approval on improving 'the number of class hours' which is a detailed item of a teacher's performance evaluation criterion to 'the number of health lesson hours per week and the number of students visiting the school infirmary per week'; second, improving 'life guidance' into 'counseling results of medically-treated students, parents of students and personal hygiene guidance'; third, improving 'a teacher in charge' into 'awarding of points by being recognized as a health teacher in charge of all students and considering the economic situation of the region,; forth, improving 'difficulty of position' into 'the number of health-teacher's annual promotion task items and the treatment number of issuing and receiving of official documents', and improving the 'task difficulty' into 'importance and urgency of emergency patient management, risk level and urgency of infectious diseases and avoiding work in charge' appeared to be more than 90% respectively. Conclusion: The performance-based pay system of teachers being carried out every year should be executed by preparing fair evaluation criteria suitable for task properties and the role of health teachers with different evaluation criteria compared to general teachers.

The purpose of this study was to collect information for the improvement of sewing practice classes and to draw implications by carrying out an investigation into the perception and needs of 185 students in the first grade of high school for sewing practice classes. The results of the study are as follows. First, most of the students perceived that the instructional objectives of the practicum as the utilization in everyday life. The students' perception of the class was moderately positive. In terms of the subfactors, the participation level appeared to be the highest while the comprehension level was the lowest. Also, the utilization level showed the greatest difference between male and female students. The results suggest that female students were more positive in their perception of the class than the male students because of the significant difference in the subfactors of class perception, excluding utility and teaching learning method satisfaction. Second, it appeared that the students were likely to use these skills in everyday life as a result of the sewing practice classes. In terms of the practice content, students preferred working individually in terms of organizing their own projects, making their own selections, and freely deciding the size of their products. This study demonstrated that the students preferred teacher-centered classes when acquiring skills and knowledge and student-centered classes when brainstorming and performing the teacher's role. In terms of instructional management, the students preferred four to six 50-minute long lessons per semester and no group work involved.
Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the perception and its improvement of pre-service teachers regarding teaching professionalism. The subjects of this study were 41 university students who experiencing early childhood teaching practice and 41 their cooperating teachers. Methods: In order to examine perception and its improvement on teaching professionalism, teaching professionalism scale for pre-service early childhood teachers (TPSECT) that was 33 items was administrated. Data were analysed paired t-test and contents analysis. Results: First, early childhood teaching practice experience affected positive effects on the four subordinate areas of teaching professionalism: , , , and improved perception of teaching professionalism. Second, student teachers were developing teaching professionalism, in a course of early childhood teaching practice which consisted of performing teaching real children in the field, evaluating and feedback of cooperating teacher, self-reflection and re-instruction. Conclusion/Implications: For improving pre-service teachers' professionalism, except a teaching practice subject, it is necessary to open various subjects that provide practical experiences, such as, teaching real children, observing actual class. This suggests that more experiential and practical in-service education program will be demanded.
This study aimed to investigate pre-service science teachers' perceptions of significance and usefulness of evolution and genetics. To this end, 82 pre-service biology teachers and 159 non-biology science teachers answered the items to measure the perceptions of significance and usefulness of evolution and genetics. The validity and reliability were examined using Cronbach alpha, two-dimensional rating scale model Rasch analysis, and factor analysis. The finding illustrated that the test items met the benchmark to be valid and reliable test items. Second, pre-service teachers' perception of significance and usefulness of evolution was independent to that of genetics. The level of pre-service teachers' perception of significance and usefulness of evolution was lower than the level of genetics. Lastly, the levels of pre-service teachers' perceptions of significance and usefulness of evolution and genetics were not significantly different across academic years and majors (biology and non-biology). The findings of this study stressed the importance of teaching significance and usefulness of evolution and genetics in pre-service science teacher education program.
