친환경 하이브리드 동력 시스템 개발 및 농기계 응용 (Development of an Environmental Friendly Hybrid Power System and its Application to Agricultural Machines)

  • A hybrid power system was developed for agricultural machines with a 20kW output capacity, and it was attached to a multi-purpose cultivator to improve the performance of the cultivator. The hybrid system combined heterogeneous sources: an internal-combustion engine and an electric power motor. In addition, a power splitter was developed to simplify the power transmission structure. The cultivator using a hybrid system was designed to have increased fuel efficiency and output power and reduced exhaust gas emissions, while maintaining the functions of existing cultivators. The fuel consumption for driving the cultivator in the hybrid engine vehicle (HEV) mode was 341g/kWh, which was 36% less than the consumption in the engine (ENG) mode for the same load. The maximum power take off output of the hybrid power system was 12.7kW, which was 38% more than the output of the internal-combustion engine. In the HEV mode, harmful exhaust gas emissions were reduced; i.e., CO emissions were reduced by 36~41% and NOx emissions were reduced by 27~51% compared to the corresponding emissions in the ENG mode. The hybrid power system improved the fuel efficiency and reduced exhaust gas emissions in agricultural machinery. The hybrid system's lower exhaust gas emissions have considerable advantages in closed work environments such as crop production facilities. Therefore, agricultural machinery with less exhaust gas emissions should be commercialized.

  • 매우 큰 정안정성($C_{L{\alpha}}$)을 갖는 틸트덕트 운동모델에 대해 선형 파라미터를 갖는 Sigma-Pi 신경망(SPNN) 제어법칙을 적용하였다. 기존의 비례적분미분(PID) 제어기는 매우 큰 정안정성을 갖는 운동모델이 갖는 강한 기수숙임 문제를 해결하기 어려웠고 이로인해 제어성능을 높일 수 없었다. 이와 달리 외부루프와 내부루프에 모두 적용된 SPNN 제어기는 동역학역변환 및 모델오차를 줄일 수 있는 의사적응제어 명령을 이용해서 과도한 안정성을 개선할 수 있었다. 이를 검증하기 위해서 경로점 추종 시뮬레이션을 이용해서 PID제어 성능과 SPNN제어 성능을 비교하였다.

무인항공기용 150W급 연료전지 동력원 개발 및 실증 (Development and Demonstration of 150W Fuel Cell Propulsion System for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV))

  • Long endurance is a key issue in the application of unmanned aerial vehicles. This study presents feasibility test results when fuel cell system as an alternative to the conventional engine is applied for the power of the UAV after the 150W fuel cell system is developed and packaged to the 1/4 scale super cub airplane. Fuel cell system is operated by dead-end method in the anode part and periodically purged to remove the water droplet in flow field during the operation. Oxygen in the air is supplied to the stack by the two air blowers. And fuel cell stack is water cooled by cooling circuit to dissipate the heat generated during the fuel cell operation. Weight balance is considered to integrate the stack and balance of plant (BOP) in package layout. In flight performance test, we demonstrated 4 times standalone take-off and landing. In the laboratory test simulating the flight condition to quantify the energy flow, the system is analyzed in detail. Sankey diagram shows that electric efficiency of the fuel cell system is 39.2%, heat loss 50.1%, parasitic loss 8.96%, and unreacted purged gas 1.67%, respectively compared to the total hydrogen input energy. Feasibility test results show that fuel cell system is high efficient and appropriate for the power of UAV.

Energy-Aware Traffic Engineering in Hybrid SDN/IP Backbone Networks

  • Software defined network (SDN) can effectively improve the performance of traffic engineering and will be widely used in backbone networks. Therefore, new energy-saving schemes must take SDN into consideration; this action is extremely important owing to the rapidly increasing energy consumption in telecom and Internet service provider (ISP) networks. Meanwhile, the introduction of SDN in current networks must be incremental in most cases, for technical and economic reasons. During this period, operators must manage hybrid networks in which SDN and traditional protocols coexist. In this study, we investigate the energy-efficient traffic engineering problem in hybrid SDN/Internet protocol (IP) networks. First, we formulate the mathematical optimization model considering the SDN/IP hybrid routing mode. The problem is NP-hard; therefore, we propose a fast heuristic algorithm named hybrid energy-aware traffic engineering (HEATE) as a solution. In our proposed HEATE algorithm, the IP routers perform shortest-path routing by using distributed open shortest path first (OSPF) link weight optimization. The SDNs perform multipath routing with traffic-flow splitting managed by the global SDN controller. The HEATE algorithm determines the optimal setting for the OSPF link weight and the splitting ratio of SDNs. Thus, the traffic flow is aggregated onto partial links, and the underutilized links can be turned off to save energy. Based on computer simulation results, we demonstrate that our algorithm achieves a significant improvement in energy efficiency in hybrid SDN/IP networks.

구급대원용 개인보호복 개발을 위한 기초연구 (Fundamental research for the development of personal protective equipment for emergency medical technicians)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for the development of personal protective equipment (PPE) for emergency medical technicians (EMTs) during chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive situations. Methods: Body measurements were obtained for adults aged from 20 to 59 years from the data in the 6 th Size Korea national sizing survey. These data were compared to the sizes of protective clothing currently available in the market. In-depth interviews with active paramedics with experiences of wearing PPE were conducted. Results: Most of the imported protective clothing turned out to be unfit for Korean adults. This showed the urgent need for developing appropriately sized protective clothing for Korean emergency technicians. In total, 55.0% of the respondents indicated that the current protective clothing is unsafe, and 71.0% requested the clothing to have level C protective performance. Regarding the design, many people wanted hooded all-in-one type of clothing. Conclusion: Considering these requirements, most of the wearers wanted their protective clothing to be fundamentally protective of their body, be available in various sizes with adjustable parts, and easy to wear and take off. They also wanted the clothing to be secure in clear sight, while not revealing any parts of their body and not interfringe with their ability to communicate with others.

푸리에-스펙트럴 법을 사용한 근접 편대비행 항공기의 와 거동 계산 (Computation of Wake Vortex Behavior Behind Airplanes in Close Formation Flight Using a Fourier-Spectral Method)

  • 항공기에서 발생한 후류의 거동은 항공기의 성능과 비행안정성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 푸리에-스펙트럴법을 사용하여 근접 편대비행을 하고 있는 항공기 날개 후류 거동에 관하여 연구하였다. 초기와의 순환강도, 상대위치 등에 따라 와들의 거동이 복잡한 양상으로 나타났다. 와의 순환강도 값이 큰 경우 와들의 이동이 크게 나타났다. 초기에는 가까이 위치한 와의 영향을 받아 이동하지만 이동하는 과정에서 다른 와와 가깝게 되면 새로운 경로를 형성하였다. 점성이 클수록 와의 반경이 증가하여 와 반경 근처로 새롭게 진입하는 와와 상호작용이 강해진다. 향후 항공기가 이착륙 시에 발생하는 지면 효과를 고려한 후류 거동 해석 연구를 수행하고자 한다.

2011 대구 세계육상선수권대회 여자 장대높이뛰기 경기 참가선수 경기기술의 운동학적 요인 비교분석 (Comparative Analyses on Kinematic Variables of Women's Pole Vault Competition at IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the kinematic analyses of the women's pole vault skills difference between skilled group (1st to 8th place) and less skilled group (10th to 15th place) who participated in IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011. To achieve this goal, 16 women's pole vault player's kinematic analyses was conducted. Player's best performance was recorded by five normal video cameras operating at 60 Hz. The results of this study through the research procedures above are as follows. First, Skilled group's average step length and the ratio of step length to her height were longer than less skilled's group in run-up phase. Second, Skilled group's horizontal velocity was faster than less Skilled group's results. And pole plant angle was lower than less Skilled group's results in take-off phase. Third, Maximum pole flexion angle did not show difference of between two groups in pole bending phase. However, Skilled group's vertical velocity was higher than less skilled group's results.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 성형외과 예약패턴 분석 (Simulation Analysis for Appointment Scheduling Patterns in a Private Plastic Surgery Clinic)

  • 일반적으로 고객의 만족도를 높이는 방안은 병원의 이익 및 병원 의료진들의 만족도를 높이는 방안과는 상충된다. 이에 본 논문은 병원과 고객을 함께 고려한 평가지표를 사용하여 여러 가지 예약 패턴들을 비교해보고 병원의 효율적인 운영을 위해 성형외과에 적절한 예약 패턴을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 도심에 위치한 실제 성형외과의 고객 및 진료 데이터를 이용해 시뮬레이션 모델을 설계하고, 이 모델을 대상으로 5가지 예약 패턴을 비교하였다. 예약 패턴의 강건성을 체크하기 위하여 성수기와 극성수기, 피크 요일과 한적한 요일 등 다양한 상황 하에서 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과, 본 연구에서 새롭게 제안하는 Triangle-like Pattern이 예약 수와 관계없이 가장 좋은 결과를 보여주었다.

A321 Sharklet 모델의 운항실적을 이용한 윙렛 장착 효과 검증 및 경제성 분석 (Verification of Winglet Effect and Economic Analysis Using Actual Flight of A321 Sharklet Model)

  • 윙렛은 유도항력을 줄이기 위한 장비로, 1980년대부터 보잉사에서 제작한 항공기에 장착되기 시작했고, 에어버스에서는 2009년부터 'Sharklet'이라는 이름의 윙렛을 개발하여 A320 Family에 장착 옵션으로 제공하기 시작했다. 윙렛은 날개 끝단에서 발생하는 유도항력을 감소시켜 이륙성능 향상, 연료소모량 감소, 유상탑재량 증대 및 운항거리 증가의 효과를 내고 있다. 본 연구는 Sharklet이 장착된 A321 항공기와 미장착된 A321 항공기의 실제 운항 데이터를 분석하여 윙렛 장착에 따른 연료 효율성 향상을 검증하고 이에 따른 경제성 분석을 목적으로 한다. 이를 통해 항공기 도입 시 윙렛 장착 사양 결정 혹은 기존 항공기의 업그레이드를 위한 의사 결정에 활용할 수 있다. 이를 위해 윙렛 장착에 따른 공력 특성 연구 사례조사와 효과 확인 연구를 수행하고 경제성을 검증하였다.

농작업 부하 계측을 위한 80kW급 계측 트랙터 개발 및 검증 (Development of the 80-kW Test Tractor for Load Measurement of Agricultural Operations)

  • RIn this study, a test tractor that could measure various types of agricultural operational loads was developed, and its performance was verified. This tractor could be used to measure the load generated during agricultural work and convert the related data into a database. A test tractor was developed using an 80-kW-rated load tractor, and it could measure various types of field test data, such as engine torque and rpm, wheel torque, PTO(power take-off) torque, hexometer, IMU/INS sensor, steering angle sensor, hydraulic pressure, and flow sensor data. To verify the developed test tractor, a verification test using an agriculture rotavator was performed. The test conditions were L1, L2, and L3 based on the tractor's main and sub-transmission stages, and stages 1 and 2 were selected as the PTO. In a comparison of the analyzed test data, similar tendencies in the test results of this research and other research (Kim's research) were seen. Through this, the developed test tractor was verified. In the future, we plan to conduct research on the tractor developed in this study using various attached working machines.
