This research aims at investigation of accuracy potential of RTK(Real-Time Kinematic) GPS in combination with Echo Sounder(E/S) for the coastal mapping. Apart from this purpose, the accuracy of ambiguity resolution with the OTF(On The Fly) method was tested with respect to the initialization time. The result shows that the accuracy is better than 1cm with 5-minute initialization in the distance of 10km baseline. The seaside topography was measured by the RTK GPS only, on the other hand the seafloor topography was surveyed in combination of RTK GPS and E/S. Comparing to the volume of seaside measured by RTK GPS and digital topographical map, the difference of only 2% was achieved. This indicates that the coastal mapping. As a result, it has been revealed that every possible noise in surveying could be corrected and the accuracy could be improved. The accuracy of GPS data acquired in real time was as good as that acquired by post processing. It is expected that it will be useful for the analysis of coastal geographic characteristics because DTM(Digital Terrain Model) can be also constructed for the harbor reclamation, the dredging, and the variation of soil movement in a river.

Moire topography method is a well-known non-contacting 3-D measurement method. the automatic 3-D measurement by moire topography has been required since the method was frequently applied to the engineering and medical fields. 3-D measurement using digital projection moire topography is very attractive because of its high measuring speed and high sensitivity. In this study, digital two-wavelength phase shilling moire is applied to the entertainment fields. recently. as promoting the growth of the VR-Game, display devices which attract public attention such as HMD or Projector are being appeared in order to deliver effectively the absorption sense. this study realized the Auto-calibrating system for arbitrary display surface using digital moire method which satisfied the shape measurement of display surface and the request of FOV(Field of View) output. also when large screen wasn't prepared, this auto-calibrating system was applied to enjoy games or movies at home with a projector and walls

A dynamically-allocated topographical model, so-called cell advancing model, has been developed modifying the cell model. Memory requirements are reduced by dynamically allocating completed topography and material information only at surface cells, and setting other cells as a material index. In this paper, this model is presented and verified with applications to etching process by using the analytic model and Monte Carlo model for the incident ion flux, deposition process, and process integration. In case of DRAM cell fabrication process with 5,440,500(130$\times$155$\times$270) cells takes about 22MB memory to represent the topography.
There has been a continuous increase in the utilization and utility value of renewable energy such as wind power generation in modem society. Wind condition is the absolute variable to the energy volume in the case of a wind power generation system. For this reason, wind power generators have already been installed in areas where wind velocity is high and the possibility of danger is very low. In other words, instability is likely if the wind velocity in an area is high and where a wind power generation system can be built. On the contrary, low wind velocity is possible in an area with high stability. Therefore, the design and manufacture of a wind power generation system should be carried out in a more complicated topography in order to secure a bigger market. This study examines and suggest how topography affects wind shear by analyzing the measured data in order to predict wind power generation more reliably.
We propose a digital holographic interference analysis method based on a 2-frame phase-shifting technique for measuring an optical mirror surface. The technique using 2-frame phase-shifting digital interferometry is more efficient than multi-frame phase-shifting techniques because the 2-frame method has the advantage of a reduced number of interferograms, and then takes less time to acquire the wanted topography information from interferograms. In this measurement system, 2-frame phase-shifting digital interferograms are acquired by moving the reference flat mirror surface, which is attached to a piezoelectric transducer, with phase step of 0 or $\pi$/2 in the reference beam path. The measurements are recorded on a CCD detector. The optical interferometry is designed on the basis of polarization characteristics of a polarizing beam splitter. Therefore the noise from outside turbulence can be decreased. The proposed 2-frame algorithm uses the relative phase difference of the neighbor pixels. The experiment has been carried out on an optical mirror which flatness is less than $\lambda$/4. The measurement of the optical mirror surface topography using 2-frame phase-shifting interferometry shows that the peak-to-peak value is calculated to be about $0.1779{\mu}m$, the root-mean-square value is about $0.034{\mu}m$. Thus, the proposed method is expected to be used in nondestructive testing of optical components.

This study understood measured items of significantly difference through the surface topographical comparison of dorsal trunk's surface between normal and scoliosis subjects. 300 subjects for this study were participated (middle, high school and college students). Normal 28(males 12, females 16) and scoliosis subjects 16(males 4, females 12) were chosen by assessment tools (physical examination, 3D-surface topography) among subjects at Dongshin University Oriental Hospital. The results were as follow: 1. It was shown that the significantly difference was observed by distance of peak to curve with scoliosis between two groups(p<0.001). 2. It was shown that top difference of between groups in anterior-posterior view was the significantly difference at cervicothoracic, thoracic, thoracolumbar and dorsal part of lumbar(p<0.001). These results suggest that method to use 3D-surface topography measurement would be useful diagnosis method and clinical use of physical therapy.
Titanium (Ti) has been widely used for dental implant due to great biocompatibility and bonding ability against natural alveolar bone. A lot of titanium surface modification has been introduced in dentistry and, among them, methods to introduce micro/nano-roughened surface were considered as clinically approved strategy for accelerating osseointegration of Ti dental implant. To have synergetic effect with topography oriented favors in cell attachment, chair-side surface treatment with reproducibility of micro/nano-topography is introduced as next strategy to further enhance cellular functionalities. Extensive research has been investigated to study the potential of micro/nano-topography preserved chair-side surface treatment for Ti dental implant. This review will discuss ultraviolet, low level of laser therapy and non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma on Ti dental implant with micro/nano-topography as next generation of surface treatment due to its abilities to induce super-hydrophilicity or biofunctionality without change of topographical cues.

An analytical solution which can be applied to an arbitrarily varying topography is derived by using the continuity and momentum equations. Applying the fact that the solution of the governing equation is expressed as Bessel function in such case that the water depth varies linearly, the present solution is obtained by assuming the water depth as series of constant slope. The present solution is verified by comparing with analytical solution derived previously and investigates the effects of bottom topography to run-up height of vertical structure.
Double shelf topography allows the existence of two sets of waves propagating in opposite directons. In the case that two shelves are apart sufficiently enough, the solutions show two independent sets of waves which recover the single shelf waves. However, if the distance between two shelves is less than the Rossby deformation radius, the waves become dependent on the geometry of both shelves. Even over a double shelf topography, shelf waves propagate with the shallow water to the right in the Northern Hemisphere. The group velocity of shelf wave has the same direction as phase velocity in the long wave case, but the opposite direction in the short wave case. Each shelf mode has a zero group velocity at some intermediate value of wave length.
Mesoscale low is often observed over the downstream region of the East Sea (or, northwest coast off the Japan Islands) during East-Asia winter monsoon. The low system causes a heavy snowfall at the region. A series of numerical experiments were conducted with the aid of a regional model (MM5 ver. 3.5) to examine the formation mechanism of the mesoscale low. The following results were obtained: 1) A well-developed mesoscale low was simulated by the regional model under real topography, NCEP reanalysis, and OISST; 2) The mesoscale low was simulated under a zonally averaged SST without topography. This implies that the meridional gradient of SST is the main factor in the formation of a mesoscale low; 3) A thermal contrast ($>10^{\circ}C$) of land-sea and topography-induced disturbance served as the second important factor for the formation; 4) Paektu Mountain caused the surface wind to decelerate downstream, which created a more favorable environment for thermodynamic modification than that was found in a flat topography; and 5) The types of cumulus parameterizations did not affect the development of the mesoscale low.
