This is the last part of the four-part describing the development of a packet-switched computer communication network named the KORNET. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of the packet assembler/dissassembler (PAD) protocol for the asynchronous channel service, and of the network management softwares. The line processing module-B(LPMB) system supporting the asynchronous line includes a PAD protocol, a packet mode DTE/DCE protocol converting to the X.25 protocol, and the asynchronous receiver/transmitter(ART) software. The network management software is operated in master central processing module(MCPM) which includes virtual circuit management (VCM) managing the user channel, the routing management and the high level protocol for communication between the network management center (NMC) and the network node processor(NNP). In this paper, the design, implementation and operation of the softwares for the above service functions will be described in detail.
This paper suggests a new concept for missile guidance control, called linearized common curvature guidance law that enhances the probability to kill a target. The proposed guidance system is composed of two switching modes; one for the midcourse guidance and the other for the terminal guidance, which is switched by a specified critical value (.epsilon.). And the system and the commands are formulated and its simulations are provided in comparison with the conventional commanded line of sight guidance algorithm. Miss distance and angle of attack are denoted as performance of parameters. This new concept, common curvature guidance algorithm, revises the navigation guidance and accompanies, various considerations.
A microstrip polarized 8${\times}$2 linear phased array antenna with four 4-bit phase shifters is designed at 10 GHz. The 180$^{\circ}$and 90$^{\circ}$ sections of the phase shifter are of the switched line type, and the rests are of the loaded line type. A 2${\times}$2 sequential sub-array is adopted for a broad axial ratio bandwidth. The construction of the array antenna is of the tile type placing the phase shifters on the same layer containing the feed network. The element spacing is chosen to be 0.45λ$\sub$0/ to exclude the grating lobe. Measurement results show a gain 9.69 dB at broadside and 8.3 dB at the beam-tilt angle of 16$^{\circ}$ by imposing a progressive phase of 90$^{\circ}$.
There are many kinds of predominant modes to transfer Multimedia information on internet in the world. Various methods are applied to get real time multimedia data as possible as we need. At the moment it is very difficult to use acceptable technologies for performe those methods effectively on the Networks. This paper gives the alternative directions and trends for research and development of multimedia transmission on the internet. ATM is one of the best mode to transfer mass-multimedia data at the high speed on the Broad-Band ISDN until now. And xDSL (xDigital Subscriber Line) is an excellent typical method on the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) using old type telephone line. But they are not yet applied into the phase of practical use together this time. So this paper analyzes what we need and how to develop the multimedia transmission modes which we can send on the internet without a problem or any difficulty for our various multimedia information all the time under low cost and high speed.
