수학학습부진아 지도를 위한 문제개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Problems for Teaching Students in Poor Mathematical Progress)

  • The aim of this study is to improve the basic learning ability of those who make poor progress in mathematics and to keep positive and active learning attitudes in class afterward by using problems whith both make them advance their basic learning ability and supplement lack of previous learning in class or after school. supplementary problems were developed by focusing the ability of basic calculation, the comprehension of concepts, principles, and rules by analyzing necessary contents precisely each domain after itemizing learning contents each unit. the results of the study are this: 1) The students who solved the problems, that were developed to improve the basic learning ability and to supplement the earlier learning during their classes or giving homework, made significant progress in their scholastic achievement; more than those who were not involved. 2) Meaningful changes were demonstrated in the motivation for achievement among the domains of learning attitudes before and after the experiment but, not in their interest, the consciousness of purpose, attention, voluntary and efficient learning as shown in their learning habits. In this study, therefore, the problems which were developed to improve the basic learning ability and to supplement the earlier learning by focusing on the competence for basic calculation, and the comprehension of concepts, principles and rules were effective positively only in the area of motivation for achievement. there were no meaningful differences in the other domains.

Design and Implementation of a Content Model for m-Learning

  • It is difficult for mobile learners to maintain a high level of concentration when learning content for more than an hour while they are on the move. Despite the attention span issue, many m-learning systems still provide their mobile learners with the same content once used in e-learning systems. This has called for an investigation to identify the suitable characteristics of the m-learning environment. With this in mind, we have conducted a survey in hopes of determining the requirements for developing more suitable m-learning content. Based on the results of the survey, we have developed a content model comprised of two types: a segment type and a supplement type. In addition, we have implemented a prototype system of the content model for Apple iPhones and Android smartphones in order to investigate a feasibility study of the model application.

문과 출신 학생을 위한 대학 미적분학 보충학습 프로그램 개발 (Development of the Calculus Supplement Learning Program for university students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an effective Calculus Supplement Learning Program for university students who are from liberal arts and investigate how the program affects their achievement and attitude in mathematics. we analyzed their answer sheets and interview reports with qualitative methods. After adapting the program, students recognized that mathematical concepts and definitions were very important to study a college calculus. Also they picked up how to learn mathematics in college. Finally, we found that students could develop their abilities of proof, problem solving, and logical thinking through the program.

교육과정의 이행에 따라 발생하는 초등학교 과학과 학습 내용 중복 및 누락에 대한 분석 (The Reformed Science Curriculum Contents Overlapped or Omitted in Elementary School Comparing with Existing Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this research is to minimize the learning deficiency on science subject in changeover from the 7th education curriculum to the next curriculum which was noticed in 2007. We investigated the contents overlapped or omitted in science contents organization between the two curriculums; moved contents to upper or lower grade, deleted contents, enlarged contents and reduced contents. Also we found that the deficiency will be occurred for the students who entered school in 2006 and 2007 in elementary school. To minimize the learning deficiency in the changeover, we must consider the following points. (1) We need to promote the teachers' comprehension about the learning deficiency and supplementary instruction through the teacher training program before carrying out the next curriculum. (2) We must add the measures minimizing the learning deficiency to the teachers' guide and resources which are used in encouragement of learning and teachers' training. (3) We must develop the instructing materials to supplement the learning deficiency for the students who entered school in 2006 and 2007. As practicing above points, we will be able to reduce time loss in studying and teaching the same contents and to supplement the omitted contents.

Effectiveness of Asynchronous Learning Networks in Teaching as a Supplement to Classroom Teaching: A Study from Perspective of Lecturers in National University of Singapore

  • Asynchronous Learning Networks (ALN) has become a kind of prevalent information systems to supplement or even substitute a traditional classroom face-to-face teaching method. In this paper, we investigate the impacts of types of courses, lecturers' instruction models and computer self-efficacy on the ALN effectiveness in teaching from lecturers' perspective. We conducted survey to professors in various faculties such as School of Computing, Faculty of Arts, Science, Business, Law and Engineering in the National University of Singapore. According to the responses from ninety-eight professors, instruction modes positively influence the usage of ALN; types of course and lecturers' computer-efficacy influence lectures' satisfaction of ALN in teaching. Both the usage of ALN and satisfaction of ALN positively influence the effectiveness of ALN. The results of this study fill the gap of ALN researches in education by examining it from lecturers' perspective and enable schools to improve their implementation of ALN systems based on our findings.

웹 기반 기초학력 진단-보정 시스템의 개선 방안 도출 (A study on Improvement of Web-based Diagnosis-Supplement System for Basic Academic Skills)

  • 교육부는 2013년부터 초등학교와 중학교를 대상으로 웹 기반의 기초학력 진단-보정 시스템을 전국에 서비스하고 있다. 이 논문의 목적은 2015년에 실시된 기초학력 진단-보정 시스템 기반의 향상도 검사 결과와 교사 및 전문가들의 요구사항을 종합적으로 분석하여 시스템의 개선 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 진단-보정 차수별 응시율과 도달율을 분석하고, 교사 자문위원회와 전문가 협의회의 인터뷰 및 협의 내용을 기초로 기초학력 진단-보정 시스템의 개선방안을 도출하였다. 결론적으로 기초학력 진단-보정 시스템의 발전 방안을 교사 이용 활성화 방안과 학생 이용 활성화 관점으로 구체화여 제언하였다.

  • 본 연구는 학교 현장에 지속적이고 체계적인 기초학력 지원을 위해 2015년부터 초 중등 교사를 대상으로 활용되고 있는 기초학력 진단-보정 학습 시스템의 사용성 문제를 개선하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 사용자 유형(학교관리자 및 교사)별 UX/UI를 기초 설문조사, 사용자 테스팅, 심층 인터뷰, 전문가 휴리스틱스 등 사용성 평가를 수행하였다. 이러한 양적/질적 사용성 평가결과 분석을 통해 도출된 개선사항을 반영한 프로토타입을 개발하고 이를 반복적으로 평가함으로써 사용자 중심의 시스템으로 개선하였다. 본 연구는 전국단위로 활용하고 있는 기초학력 진단-보정 학습 시스템을 사용자 유형(관리자/교사/학생)별 맞춤형 기능 및 UX/UI 개선을 통해 사용자 친화적 시스템으로 개발하였다는데 의의가 있다.

A Study on Platform Development for Web 2.0-based e-Learning

  • The new paradigm called the web 2.0 recently appeared in the web environment. We pay attention to the positive effects which may be brought about by application of the web 2.0 to e-learning; we think that it can improve problem solving skills of learners and reinforce their creativity. But until now, e-learning model, which understood the web 2.0 concept completely, has been never developed. In this context, we propose the web 2.0-based e-learning platform which induces all the courses for education such as the selection of topic, preparation of lecture schedule and contents, teaching and learning, to be decided by participants. We believe that this platform can replace or supplement the e-learning of web 1.0 age, and realize the positive effects.

However. there are numerous difficulties in expansion and industrialization of e-learning due to insufficient supply of human resources to meet the demand. Therefore, the goal of this study is to present various policy directions that can supplement the supply or e-learning manpower. Overall contents of this study focus on presenting the long-term directions for fostering of human resources for e-learning industry. Among these, role of government policies for fostering of human resources for e-learning industry is being particularly emphasized because e-learning industry is still at its infant stage.
