DC-offset is a very important subject in power systems protection, since DC-offset causes mal-operation of the distance relay. This paper deals with the influence of a FIR filter used for removing the DC-offset upon the convergence characteristics of distance relaying algorithm based on Fourier Transform.

The block LU factorization is used to solve the coupled Stokes equations arisen from an optimal control problem subject to Stokes equations. The convergence of the spectral element solution is proved. Some numerical evidences are provided for the model coupled Stokes equations. Moreover, as an application, this algorithm is performed for an optimal control problem.

This paper presents new algorithm which is based on LP(Linear Programming) that guarantee convergence. It is considered to minimize generation cost and load shedding as object function subject to various constraints. The proposed algorithm use sensitivity matrix to re-dispatch generation power, so the total CPU time is saved.

Conventional methods to solve the nonlinear programming problem range from augmented Lagrangian methods to sequential quadratic programming (SQP) methods. NPSOL, which is a SQP code, has been widely used to solve various optimization problems but is still subject to many numerical problems such as convergence to local optima, difficulties in initialization and in handling non-smooth cost functions. Recently, many evolutionary methods have been developed for constrained optimization. In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of variational inclusions, called the set-valued quasi variational inclusions. The resolvent operator technique is used to establish the equivalence between the set-valued variational inclusions and the fixed point problem. This equivalence is used to study the existence of a solution and to suggest a number of iterative algorithms for solving the set-valued variational inclusions. We also study the convergence criteria of these algorithms.

Immobilized enzymes have become the subject of considerable interest due to their excellent functional properties such as reusability, cost-effectiveness, and optimality during the past decades. Enzyme immobilization technology is not only used in industrial processes, but also a component technology of products for medical diagnostics, therapy, food industry, bio energy, and biomaterial detection. In this review, new methods for enzyme immobilization are introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of techniques in enzyme immobilization will be also discussed.

The prior studies for consumer-brand relationships vested brands with personalities after had personified them. In these studies, a brand become the object of consumer's attitude, and former researchers investigated the types and styles of consumer-brand relationships based on this theory. However, I though that these studies did not follow the original concept of 'relationship' for they approached consumer as the subject and a brand as the object.

This study is the one group pretest-posttest design study with a view to evaluate the effects of convergence-based education on core basic nursing skills on self-efficacy, confidence and department satisfaction of lower-class nursing students. The subject of this study was 80 sophomore nursing students, the data was collected from March to April 2016. The self-efficacy, confidence and department satisfaction of the target students before and after the education were evaluated using the structured survey, and after the education, the performance ability of the target students was evaluated. The collected data were analyzed through paired t-test. The results of this study showed that all the self-efficacy(p=.045), confidence(p<.001) and department satisfaction(p=.018) increased significantly, indicating that the convergence-based education on core basic nursing skills was effective for improving the self-efficacy, confidence and department satisfaction of lower-class nursing students.
