대학생의 우울증에 관한 연구 -우울 측정 척도를 이용한- (The Depression Scales and The College Students' Health Care)

  • This study is planned to gather necessary data for setting up a system on students' health care in the university. In order to obtain statistical data on the students' health care problems especially in 'depression' among the mental health problems of the students, 'The Beck Depression Inventory' by A. T. Beck and 'Zung's Self-Rating Depression Scale' by W. W. K. Zung were used for gathering numerical data of scale of depression. It is evident that we have to prepare for further medical examination and health care educations for several students. For these students, it is clear that they have problems not only in mental health but also in physical health. I have screened out the high scored students for comparison and analysis. And it disclosed that we have to build up a periodical and continuous 'Health Screening System' utilizing Health Questionnaire for both physical and mental aspects, which will bring up us the very exact result to pick out any person who has healthy problem among the enormous number of the students with handy, convenient and effective procedures but with the least expense and effort. Also it is my firm confidence that this system will be applicable for primary health care control of mass population in local community or any organization.

The Way to Improve Mental Health and Change Stress Mindset by Using Online Education Platform

  • Stress mindset is a perspective on stress that can change stress management and performance in stressful situations. In relation to stress mindset aspects, this study verified the impact of academic stress, future anxiety, and positive mental health as a way to improve the mental health of students with a positive stress mindset through an online social networking platform. Additionally, the effectiveness of resilience was demonstrated as a way to increase the effectiveness of stress mindset. In order to verify hypotheses, this study conducted a survey from 104 university students in Korea. The results indicated that stress mindset was directly related to academic stress. In addition, resilience had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between stress mindset and academic stress. However, since the effect was not found for future anxiety and positive mental health, the need to establish a new strategy was raised. The research has implications in suggesting ways for students to have a positive stress mindset and increase its effectiveness.

도시지역 독자녀 고등학생들의 사회심리적 요인과 정신건강과의 관계 (Relationships Between Mental Health and Psychosocial Factors with Single-child High School Students in an Urban City of Korea)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to determine the mental health of high school students, and specifically that of children with no siblings in urban areas, and we aimed at revealing the various potential influences of different psycho-social factors Methods: The participants were, 514 high school students who were the 1st- to 3rd-graders in Daejon City; they were, given self-administered questionnaires that required no signature during the period of March through June 2005. The analyzed items included the general character of the subjects, the symptoms of stress and depression for mental health, self-esteem as a psychological component, anxiety, dependent behavioral traits and, social support of family members and friends. Results: The study results suggested that the group of urban high school children with no siblings had a higher tendency for stress and depression than did the urban high school children with siblings. The mental health and psychosocial factors were found to be influenced by friends, a sense of satisfaction at school and home life, and emotional support as well. Conclusions: In conclusion, emotional support by the family members can improve mental health by reducing anxiety, stress and depression.

중고등학생의 정신건강과 신체활동과의 관련성 (Relations Between Mental Health and Physical Activities of Middle to High School Students)

  • Objective: The study analyzed degrees of participation in physical activities, demographic and sociological characteristics of middle and high school students, and the relations to mental health related factors, based on "Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey." Therefore, the study can be used as preliminary data for establishing mental health promotion plans for youth and setting contents and directions of health education. Methods: The study analyzed the data, collecting from 75,066 middle and high school students, regarding their demographic and sociological characteristics, mental health, and relations to physical activities by using SPSS Win 15.0. Results: 19.1% of the students answered they had seriously contemplated suicide during the past 12 months, and 43.2% said they are usually under enormous pressure. 55.3% answered that academic achievements and the pressure from future paths are major factors of their stress. The students showed noteworthy differences in whether they think about suicide depending on whether the students live with their father or mother. The study found that the students whose parents' levels of education are low, or their academic records are low, or economic conditions are poor are more likely to think about suicide. The students tend to think more about killing themselves if they spend more time sitting to study than being engaged in physical activities, or spend little time walking. And they are more likely to think about committing suicide if they spend little time exercising, or are not engaged in physical activities on the playground or a gym in PE classes.

COVID-19 격리 해제 이후 농촌 여중생의 정신건강 영향요인 (Factors Influencing the Mental Health of Female Middle School Students Living in Rural Area After COVID-19 Quarantine Lifts)

  • 본 연구는 농촌에 거주하는 여자 중학생을 대상으로 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 연구 기간은 2022년 3월 14일에서 25일까지로 G 군에 소재한 3개 중학교에 재학 중인 여중생 239명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson's correlation과 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 대상자의 정신건강에 대한 유의한 영향요인은 양부모와의 거주 (β=.12, t=2.50, p =.013), 과거 주관적 정신건강상태 (β=.15, t=2.83, p =.005), 주관적 신체 건강 상태 (β=-.21, t=-3.94, p<.001), 외로움(β=.22, t=4.23, p <.001), 불면증 중증도(β=.36, t=6.55, p<.001)이었으며, 이들 변수는 정신건강에 대해 46%의 설명력을 나타냈다. 본 연구를 통해 양부모와 거주, 과거 정신건강상태, 신체건강상태, 외로움, 불면증 중증도를 고려한 여자 중학생의 정신건강을 위한 중재 전략과 변수 간 인과 관계를 구체화할 수 있는 추후 연구가 필요하다.

대학생의 정신건강에 미치는 영향요인 (Factors Affecting the Mental Health of University Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 자아존중감, 대학생활 스트레스 및 취업스트레스가 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 대학생 312명을 대상으로 설문조사 하였다. 자료분석은 t-test, one-way 분산분석, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 5점 Likert 척도로 측정된 정신건강, 대학생활 스트레스 및 취업스트레스의 평균치는 각각 1.69, 1.87, 2.21이었다. 4점 Likert 척도로 측정된 자아존중감의 평균치는 2.79였다. 성별과 친구 수에 따른 정신건강 정도는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 자아존중감(r=-.426, p<0.001)은 정신건강과 통계적으로 유의한역 상관관계를 보였으며, 대학생활 스트레스(r=.660, p<0.001)와 취업스트레스(r=.517, p<0.001)는 통계적으로 유의한 정상관관계를 보였다. 다중회귀 분석을 한 결과, 대학생의 정신건강에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 대학생활 스트레스(${\beta}=.545$)이었고, 자아존중감(${\beta}=-.145$), 취업스트레스(${\beta}=0.069$) 순이었으며, 3가지 연구변인의 설명력은 45.2 %였다. 대학생의 정신건강을 개선하기 위해서는 대학생활 스트레스와 취업스트레스를 낮추고 자아존중감을 높일 수 있는 대학 내 프로그램을 모색해야 할 필요가 있다.

보건계열 대학생의 사회적지지, 정신건강이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Social Support and Mental Health on Resilience of Health Science College Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보건계열 대학생의 사회적지지, 정신건강이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료 수집은 J도에 소재한 3개 대학의 보건계열 대학생 191명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본연구의 결과 회복탄력성에 사회적 지지는 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 정신건강은 통계적으로 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 회복탄력성에 영향을 미치는 변인은 사회적지지의 하위변수인 물질적 지지와 평가적지지, 정신건강의 하위변수인 불안, 인구사회학적 특성인 대학생활만족도로 나타났으며, 설명력은 48.9%이었다. 보건계열 대학생의 회복탄력성을 증진시키기 위하여 영향요인인 사회적 지지와 정신건강증진 방안을 개발하고 적용할 필요가 있다.

대학생의 취업스트레스, 진로결정 자기효능감 및 사회적 지지가 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Job-Seeking Stress, Career Decision-Making self Efficacy and Social Support on mental health of University Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 취업스트레스, 진로결정 자기효능감 및 사회적 지지가 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료 수집은 J도에 소재한 3개 대학의 대학생 429명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과 정신건강은 취업스트레스와 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 진로결정 자기효능감 및 사회적 지지와 통계적으로 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 변인은 취업스트레스, 사회적 지지 순으로 나타났으며, 설명력은 48.9%이었다. 대학생의 정신건강을 증진시키기 위하여 영향요인인 취업스트레스를 고려한 정신건강 증진 방안을 개발하고 적용할 필요가 있다고 사료된다. 또한, 정신건강을 위한 지원체계를 확립하고 유지하는 것이 중요하다.

대입 준비생의 입시스트레스가 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of High School Students' Entrance Exam Stress on Their Mental Health)

  • This study aimed at investigating the level of high school students' entrance exam stress and mental health first and also investigating if the entrance exam stress and mental health are related to gender, grade, character type, parenting style and economic status. This is expected to be used as a fundamental data for the development of health education program on high school students' stress and diagnosis of their mental health. To achieve those goals above, the questionnaire was used and the sample consisted of 600 students from general high schools in a large city, C and in a smaller city, A in Chungnam province through questionnaire and the conclusion, which was based on 582 proper questionnaires from the 600 questionnaires, through variable analysis, correlation analysis and multi-regression, is below. First, according to the information provided by respondents, the result showed the relationship between those background variables and the entrance exam stress and mental health level. As the students are more introverted and the parenting style is more authoritative, the entrance exam stress is higher and the mental health level is higher as the parenting style is more authoritative and the economic status is lower. In gender, the entrance exam stress level was high for male students in regard to parents pressure. For female students, it was due to the insufficient free time. In test performance, the good grade group showed high stress level when they don't have enough free time and the poor grade group showed high stress level when they have test tension and poor test performance. In character style, the introverted group showed high stress level in future uncertainty. In parenting style, the authoritative group showed significantly high level in all four sub-factors and there is no significant relationship with the stress level and economic statue. Female students reported higher mental health level than male students in somatization and depression. In academic achievement, the poor grade group showed high level in obsession, fear-anxiety and psychotism. In character style, the introverted group showed high level in sensitivity towards others and depression. And in parenting style, the authoritative group is higher in 9 sub-factors than the other two groups in the factor, economic status. The lower economic status group showed high mental health problem level in this order; in obsession, sensitivity towards others, depression, paranonia and psychotism. Second, the results revealed that there is a significant difference among the groups after comparing and analyzing the relationship between the mental health level according to the three groups, the first, second and third group divided by the degree of entrance exam stress. And the higher the entrance exam stress is, the higher the mental health problem level is. Verification showed that there was obvious difference among the groups. the entrance exam stress was positively correlated with the mental health level. The lack of free time, future uncertainty, test anxiety/poor test performance and parents pressure, these factors, in that order, were correlated with the mental health level. when the prediction variables which influenced on mental health are analyzed, test-anxiety/poor test performance was found to be related to mental health most. And after the factor, test-anxiety, future uncertainty and the lack of free time were listed(ranked), however results did not show any correlation with parents' pressure.

여중생의 수면과 정신건강의 상호관련성 (Relationship between Sleep and Mental Health in Middle School Female Students)

  • 이 연구는 여중생의 수면과 정신건강의 상호연관성을 분석하기 위하여 질병관리본부가 수행하고 온라인을 통해 공개하고 있는 2016 청소년건강행태온라인조사 원자료 중 중학교 여학생의 조사결과인 15,477명을 연구대상으로 하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 일반적 변수들과 흡연, 음주, 수면의 질, 수면시간을 모두 통제하여도 수면시간이 길수록 스트레스 인지율, 우울감 경험률, 자살 생각률이 유의하게 낮았으며, 또 충분한 수면여부에서 '그렇다'라고 답한 경우 스트레스 인지율, 우울감 경험률이 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 이 같은 연구결과 여중생의 수면시간과 질은 정신건강의 관련성이 있었기 때문에 향후 여중생들의 정신건강에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 수면시간과 질에 대한 추적연구를 포함하여 수면과 정신건강에 대한 스트레스와 우울감의 매개효과 분석과 같은 심층적인 연구와, 청소년의 수면 제한 요소를 줄일 수 있는 정책마련이 필요하다.
