  • Under some conditions on an array of rowwise independent random variables, Hu et at. (1998) obtained a complete convergence result for law of large numbers with rate {a$\_$n/, n $\geq$ 1} which is bounded away from zero. We investigate the general situation for rate {a$\_$n/, n $\geq$ 1) under similar conditions.

  • In this study, a new stopping criterion, called "backward controlled stopping criterion" (BCSC), was proposed to be used in Genetic Algorithms. In the study, the available stopping citeria; adaptive stopping citerion, evolution time, fitness threshold, fitness convergence, population convergence, gene convergence, and developed stopping criterion were applied to the following four comparison problems; high strength concrete mix design, pre-stressed precast concrete beam, travelling salesman and reinforced concrete deep beam problems. When completed the analysis, the developed stopping criterion was found to be more accomplished than available criteria, and was able to research a much larger area in the space design supplying higher fitness values.

  • In this paper, iterative algorithms for approximating a common fixed point of a countable family of multi-valued demicontractive maps in the setting of Hadamard spaces are presented. Under different mild conditions, the sequences generated are shown to strongly convergent and ∆-convergent to a common fixed point of the considered family, accordingly. Our theorems complement many results in the literature.

  • In this paper, we propose and study an implicit iteration process for a finite family of total asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings and a finite family of asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in the intermediate sense in convex metric spaces and establish some strong convergence results. Also, we give some applications of our result in the setting of convex metric spaces. The results of this paper are generalizations, extensions and improvements of several corresponding results.

  • In this paper, we consider the convergence of the shrinking projection method for quasi-$\phi$-nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space which enjoys the Kadec-Klee property.

  • The purpose of this paper, we prove convergence theorems of the modified viscosity inexact Mann iteration process for a family of asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type mappings in CAT(0) spaces. We also show that the limit of the modified viscosity inexact Mann iteration {xn} solves the solution of some variational inequality.

  • In this paper, we proposed a method which predict the verb by using the neural network in order to enhance communication rate in augmentative communication system for Korean language disorders. Each word is represented by an information vector according to syntax and semantics, and is positioned at the state space by being partitioned into various regions different from a dictionary-like lexicon. Conceptual similarity is realized through position in state space. When a symbol was pressed, we could find the word for the symbol at the position in the state space. In order to prevent verb prediction's redundancy according to input units, we predicted the verb after separating class using the neural network. In the result we can enhance $20\% communication rate in the restricted space

  • This study analyzes space resection and space intersection for terrestrial convergent photos taken on the straight line and the circular line by collinearity condition. The purpose is to investigate the properties of convergent case, and to suggest the optimum angle of convergence. Accuracies at convergent angles less than 20$^\circ$ are lower than those in normal photos, but by changing from 20$^\circ$to 90$^\circ$ the accuracy is improving with the highest at 90$^\circ$ convergence. Also, convergent photos on circular line is far higher than those on straight line in accuracies of results, therefore it is expected to apply this results effectively for precise analysis of various facilities.

  • An autonomous valet parking (AVP) system is designed to locate a vacant parking space and park the vehicle in which it resides on behalf of the driver, once the driver has left the vehicle. In addition, the AVP is able to direct the vehicle to a location desired by the driver when requested. In this paper, for an AVP system, we introduce technology to recognize a parking space using image sensors. The proposed technology is mainly divided into three parts. First, spatial analysis is carried out using a height map that is based on dense motion stereo. Second, modelling of road markings is conducted using a probability map with a new salient-line feature extractor. Finally, parking space recognition is based on a Bayesian classifier. The experimental results show an execution time of up to 10 ms and a recognition rate of over 99%. Also, the performance and properties of the proposed technology were evaluated with a variety of data. Our algorithms, which are part of the proposed technology, are expected to apply to various research areas regarding autonomous vehicles, such as map generation, road marking recognition, localization, and environment recognition.
