Bell Laboratory introduced the sound and visual system for the first time in 1927. Since then, the development of telecommunication technology made it possible for people located far away to communicate each other watching through the TV screen. Over the period different types of telelecturing systems have prospered in line with the development of telecommunication technology. Therefore, it is quite natural that telelecturing/conferending system attracts the attention of many people as a new way of educating people located in a long distance. In the industrial sector, telelecturing systems already come into wide use to save time and training and travelling expense. In this study, I examine the concept and characteristics of telelecturing/conferencing system and introduce different types telelecturing system developed in parallel with the development of communication technology. Then, I analyze how those merits of the telelecturing system can be applied to educational purpose. Finally, I propose and design ideal telelectuirng/conference facilities consisting of telelecturing rooms, bilateral movie system, seats, ceilings, color, TV screen, lighting, acoustics, humidities and temperature control, security system, projection system to maximize the educational purpose and effectiveness.

본 논문에서는 서라운드 패닝알고리즘에서의 음색보정필터 설계기법에 대한 것으로 기존 패닝알고리즘에 음색보정필터를 추가하여 가상음원의 음색왜곡을 보정하는 알고리즘을 제안한 다. 가상음상과 실제 라우드 스피커의 머리전달함수 분석을 통해 기존 일정파워패닝알고리즘의 음색왜곡 문제점을 지적하고 이를 완화시키기 위한 새로운 패닝알고리즘을 제안한다.

직물의 소리에 의해 유발되는 감성을 토대로 직물의 소리를 색채와 매치시키는 실험을 실시하여 직물의 소리를 색으로 변환해 봄으로써 시각과 생각에 의한 복합감성을 활용한 직물 디자인을 제안해 보고자 하였다. 의류소재 30개의 소리를 녹음하여 군집분석한 후 각 군집별로 섬유의 종류를 고려하여 총 6개의 소리를 선택하여 주관적 감성평가와 색 변환실험에 사용하였다. 직물의 소리는 섬유의 조성에 관계없이 주로 Blue, Purple Blue 그리고 무채색으로 표현되었다. 그런, wool은 Gr(grayish), silk는 Dk(dark), polyester는 Dl(dull), nylon은 Dk(dark)등의 차분하고, 안정되고, 점잖은 느낌의 색조로, cotton과 flax는 P(pale)와 Vp(very pale) 같은 부드럽고 가벼운 느낌의 색조로 표현되었다. 따라서 직물의 소리 감성을 설명하는 요소는 색상보다는 색조에 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate material designation in library cataloging and to suggest General Material Designation (GMD) and Specific Material Designation(SMD) in Korean. A summary of the study follows. In library cataloging, methods of indicating the type of material are : (1) color-coding, (2) media code as part of the call number, (3) material designation in physical description area or note area, (4) GMD and SMD. GMD is a term indicating the broad class of material to which a bibliographic item belongs. SMD is a term indicating the special class of material to which a bibliographic item belongs. GMD was listed in parenthesis following the title proper before AACR1975 code, but currently it is listed in square brackets after the AACR1975 code. AACR2 was the standard cataloging rule in GMD and SMD terminology. It is suggested that GMD be used in Korean for graphic material, sound recordings, drawings, microform, multimedia, videorecordings, manuscripts, photographs, slides, printed music, motion pictures, printed texts, objects, braille, cartographic materials, computer files and transparenies.

This research deals with the residential environment for the elderly and describes characteristics to give a positive effect on elderly's health and quality of life in Sweden. Five elderly care home recommended by a municipality staff in Stockholm are surveyed on $01\~03$ October 2003. The results of this study are as follows: 1) homelike atmosphere is regarded as a basic design concept and is applied to size, materials, scale, color, and furniture of elderly housing in Sweden, 2) regarding of the exterior features, it is similar to the ordinary house rather than institution building, 3) arrangement of spaces is planned for several small groups consisting of 6-8 residents, 4) open-space planning on public kitchen and dinning room allows residents to feel comfortable when they can hear a sound and smell a meal, 5) private flat is to provide amenities for sleeping, rest, storage, social interaction, meals, hygiene and other every activities

오늘날 산업구조의 발달과 경제적인 향상으로 정보교환의 가속화와 대중매 체의 비약적인 발전을 가져왔다. 그중 TV는 정보의 광역성과 전달의 가속성 으로 인하여 현대인의 생활에서 큰 부분을 차지하게 되었고, 이로 인한 정보 의 홍수속에서 상품에 대한 정보를 제공하는 광고가 생활속에 깊숙이 침투 되기에 이르렀다. TV광고는 시각(sight), 음향(sound), 동작(motion), 색체 (color)를 동시에 사용하기 때문에 라디오보다 더욱 큰 효과를 주고 있으며, 특히 소리효과는 음향효과와 음악효과를 총칭한 것으로 현란한 소리 효과를 넣어서 듣는 사람에게 괴로움을 야기시킨다. 이러한 효과는 사람들에게 건 강, 작업능률 및 심리적 장애를 일으킨다. 70년대 이후 집합주택의 양적인 성장과 함께 아파트 내부의 소음은 공해중 큰 부분을 차지하며, 정상적인 생 활과 쾌적한 환경에 문제를 던져주고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 TV의 광고 및 드라마 소음의 물리적 측정과 아파트 주민들의 주관적 반응을 조사 및 분석, 고찰하여 안락한 주거내에서 고른 음향으로 TV를 시청하고 조용한 주거생 활을 누릴 수 있는 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Indoor of 21th century information-oriented society is feeling necessity of emotional design that can satisfy emotional of human. Desire of modern becomes various and emotional lighting design is risen on important element in indoor plan on human oriented modern society who become complicated. Emotional space is trend that is atomized as go today and is expanded as the target and area also go. That is, is included as target of emotional space to light and sound, taste, smack and is appealing by senses of human. Wish to do color that is optical element among element of senses differently and present design. Design concept of this research is emotional lighting design that can receive. It is lighting that equip emotional beauty and ability from modern indoor improving space. I wish to quote emotional lighting design about effect gotten to indoor by sight of designer.

The non-thermal pasteurization of foods using High Voltage High Current Pulsed Electric Fields (HVHC-PEF) is a promising technology and a sound complement or replacement to traditional thermal pasteurization. The conventional thermal method also inactivates bacteria and other microorganisms harmful to humans, but degrades natural color, flavor, texture and nutrients. At this point, a nonthermal pasteurization technique, HVPEF is thought to be a new processing technique which is able to produce a good quality foods nutritional as well as sensuous. In this paper, the system for HVHC-PEF pasteurization is presented. It use square wave pulse instead of exponential ones. So, power rating of system is reduced considerably. Design considerations for 20kV 500A class equipment are analyzed and experimental results are discussed.

Endoscopy has become a crucial diagnostic and therapeutic procedure in clinical areas. Over the past three years, we have developed a computerized system to record and store clinical data pertaining to endoscopic surgery of laparascopic cholecystectomy, pelviscopic endometriosis, and surgical arthroscopy. In this study, we developed a computer system, which is composed of a frame yabber, a sound board, a VCR control board, a LAN card and EDMS(endoscopic data management software. Also, computer system has controled peripheral instruments such as a color video printer, a video cassette recorder, and endoscopic input/output signals(image and doctor's comment). Digital endoscopic data management system is based on open architecture and a set of widely available industry standards, namely: windows 3.1 as a operating system, TCP/IP as a network protocol and a time sequence based database that handles both images and doctor's cotnments. For the purpose of data storage, we used MOD and CD-R. Digital endoscopic system was designed to be able to store, recreate, change, and compress signals and medical images.

The purpose of this thesis is to make clear the symbolism expressed by the gorgeous costume elements in the portraits of Elizabeth 1. After English paintings in 16th century and the Portraits of Elizabeth I being investigated in view of its characteristics, the symbolism in the costume of the portraits was studied in analysis. The flowers, the pearls and the sieve denoting a pure virgin predominantly appeared, snake for discretion and wisdom, phoenix for eternal youth and renewal, pelican for motherhood, and eyes and ears for almightiness and sound judgement as an utmost power was found. The color was mainly of black or white and sometimes of these two mixtures. The white means a purity and black, eternity and the mixture of them signifies a virtue of purity. This thesis may help people understand the gorgeous costume of Elizabeth 1. not as an external extravagance, but as an internal emblem or signs delivering its specific significance.
