  • This paper intends to highlight the effect of the third-body in an inclined orbit on a spacecraft orbiting the primary mass. To achieve this goal, a new origin of coordinate is introduced in the primary and the X-axis toward the node of the spacecraft. The disturbing function is expanded up to the second order using Legendre polynomials. A double-averaged analytical model is exploited to produce the evolutions of mean orbital elements as smooth curves.

  • Let ($G,\;{\upsilon}$) be a bounded smooth domain and reflection vector field on $\partial$G, which points uniformly into G. Under the condition that locally for some coordinate system, ${\mid}{\upsilon^i}{\mid}\;i\;=\;1,{\cdot},{\cdot}$,d - 1, where is constant depending on the Lipschitz constant of G, we have tightness for reflected diffusion with jump on G with reflection $\upsilon$ depending only on c. From this, we obtain some properties of L-harmonic function where L is a sum of Laplacian and integro one.

  • In this paper we show that for each divisor class c of degree zero on a projective curve C (not necessarily smooth), there exists a unique function $\hat{h}_c$ on C up to bounded functions. Section 1 contain basic definitions and a brief summary of classical results on Jacobians and heights. In section 2, we prove the existence of "canonical height" on a singular curves and in section 3 we prove the analogouse results on N$\acute{e}$ron functions for singular curves. This is a part of the author's doctorial thesis at Ewha Womens University under the guidence of professor Sung Sik Woo.g Sik Woo.

  • Analysis by the method of characteristics shows that if f and $u_0$ are smooth and $u_0$ has compact support, then the Hamilton-Jacobi equation $$ (H-J) ^{u_t + f(u_x) = 0, x \in R, t > 0, } _{u(x, 0) = u_0(x), x \in R, } $$ has a unique $C^1$ solution u on some maximal time interval $0 \leq t < T$ for which $lim_{t \to T}u(x, t) exists uniformly; but this limiting function is not continuously differentiable.

  • In this paper, the multiplicity, stability and the structure of classical solutions of semilinear elliptic equations of the form (equation omitted) will be discussed. Here $\Omega$ is a smooth and bounded domain in $R^{n}$ (n $\geq$ 1), f(x,u) = │u│$^{\alpha}$/sgn(u)-h(x), 0 < $\alpha$ < 1, (n $\geq$ 1) and h is a ${\gamma}$- Holder continuous function on $\Omega$ for some 0 < ${\gamma}$ < 1.a}$ < 1.

  • In this paper, we study rotational and helicoidal surfaces in Euclidean 3-space in terms of their Gauss map. We obtain a complete classification of these type of surfaces whose Gauss maps G satisfy $L_1G=f(G+C)$ for some constant vector $C{\in}\mathbb{E}^3$ and smooth function $f$, where $L_1$ denotes the Cheng-Yau operator.

  • In the control system $ \dot{x} = f(t,x(t)) + g(t,x(t))\dot{u}, x(0) = \bar{x}, t \in [0,T], $ this paper shows that the map from u with $L^1(m)$-topology to $x_u$ with $L^1(\mu)$-topology is Lipschitz continuous where f is $C^1$, $\mu$ is the Stieltjes measure derived from the function g which is not smooth in the variable t and $x_u$ is the solution of the above system corresponding to u under the assumption that $\dot{u}$ is bounded.

  • In this paper, we study the geometry of lightlike hypersurfaces of a semi-Riemannian manifold. We prove a classification theorem for Einstein lightlike hypersurfaces M of a Lorentzian space form subject such that the second fundamental forms of M and its screen distribution S(TM) are conformally related by some non-vanishing smooth function.

  • This paper presents a novel fuzzy logic based control method for shunt active filters. Since the fuzzy sets are based on linguistic description, therefore they don't need to the mathematical model of the investigated systems. The proposed method is very suitable to nonlinear and time variant loads. The controller is robust, reliable and it has a smooth response. Also transient response of method is much better than the other classical methods. The simulation results confirm the suitable performance of the filter using this control method.

  • This paper considers the problem of global adaptive regulation for a class of nonlinear systems which have multiple unknown virtual control coefficient. By using a new parameter estimator and backstepping technique, we design a smooth state feedback control law, parameter update laws that estimate the unknown virtual control coefficients, and a continuously differentiable Lyapunov function which is positive definite and proper.
