  • A now signal precessing system for real time displacement measurement in sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is described. Although sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is effective in measuring with high accuracy the displacement of an object, conventional signal processing takes along time. In this method, detection of the object's displacement is easily achieved by sampling the interference signal at those times that satisfy certain conditions and by processing the sampled signals with electric circuits in real time. the delay time of this signal processing system is < 45 $\mu$s.   • The CRT monitor display system for SONAR signal that are commonly used in ships or naval vessels uses vector scanning method. Therefore the processing circuits of the system are complex. Also the purchase of parts is difficult as well as high-cost because the production had been shut down. FPGA-based embedded system is flexible to various digital applications because it can be able to simplify processing circuits and to make a easy customized design for end user, and it provides low-cost high-speed performance. In this paper, we describe an implementation of FPGA embedded system for real-time SONAR signal display using the triple buffering method to overcome some weakness of existing CRT system. Our system provides real-time acquisition and display capability of SONAR signal, and removes afterimage effect that is a critical problem of the system proposed in the preceding study.

  • 완전 이식형 인공중이 시스템을 위한 음성 신호처리 및 제어 모듈을 소형 마이크로컨트롤러를 사용하여 저전력형으로 설계 하였다 설계된 모듈은 입력되는 음성신호를 난청자의 역치에 맞추어 이득을 조정하는 등의 신호처리를 수행함과 동시에 체내 이식부의 제어를 수행하게 된다. 설계된 마이크로컨트롤러는 전원이 켜지면 사용자의 청력 손실에 맞추어서 주파수별로 차등 되는 이득을 주도록 실시간으로 음성신호를 처리하게 된다. 그러나 체외에서 제어신호가 입력될 경우 수신된 제어 신호에 의해 마이크로컨트롤러는 인터럽트 서브루틴을 수행하여 전원 제어, 볼륨 조절과 같은 제어 명령을 수행한 후 다시 음성 신호를 처리하도록 하였다. 설계된 모듈을 구현한 후 구현된 시스템의 동작을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

용접선 자동추적시 용접전류 신호처리 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Signal Processing Method for Welding Current in Automatic Weld Seam Tracking System)

  • The horizontal fillet welding is prevalently used in heavy and ship building industries to fabricate the large scale structures. A deep understanding of the horizontal fillet welding process is restricted, because the phenomena occurring in welding are very complex and highly non-linear characteristics. To achieve the satisfactory weld bead geometry in robot welding system, the seam tracking algorithm should be reliable. The number of seam tracker was developed for arc welding automation by now. Among these seam tracker, the arc sensor is prevalently used in industrial robot welding system because of its low cost and flexibility. However, the accuracy of arc sensor would be decreased due to the electrical noise and metal transfer. In this study, the signal processing algorithm based on the neural network was implemented to enhance the reliability of measured welding current signals. Moreover, the seam tracking algorithm in conjunction with the signal processing algorithm was implemented to trace the center of weld line. It was revealed that the neural network could be effectively used to predict the welding current signal at the end of weaving.

  • 항공기에 탑재되는 레이다는 연속적으로 I/Q 데이터를 획득하는 동안 주어진 시간 내에 신호처리를 완료하는 실시간성을 반드시 유지해야 하며, 공대공부터 공대지, 공대해, Ground Map까지 다양한 모드와 기능을 수행해야 하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 따라서 개발이 진행될수록 레이다 신호처리 SW를 구성하는 코드의 구조가 복잡해진다. 또한 여러 모드를 순차적으로 구현하는 과정에서 기존 코드를 재활용하기도 하고 신호처리 알고리즘의 일부분만 바뀌기도 한다. 이와 같은 이유로 실시간성을 유지하며 코드의 재사용과 부분 교체가 편리한 모듈화의 장점을 이용해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 공대지/해를 구성하는 모드의 신호처리 과정을 통해, 실시간성을 유지하며 항공기 레이다 신호처리 SW에 적용 가능한 모듈화 Framework의 설계 방안을 제시한다.

RGB 색상 공간에서 교통 신호등 검출과 인식 (Traffic Signal Detection and Recognition in an RGB Color Space)

  • This paper proposes a new method of traffic signal detection and recognition in an RGB color model. The proposed method firstly processes RGB-filtering in order to detect traffic signal candidates. Secondly, it performs adaptive threshold processing and then analyzes connected components of the binary image. The connected component of a traffic signal has to be satisfied with both a bounding box rate and an area rate that are defined in this paper. The traffic signal recognition system is implemented using C language in an embedded Linux system for a high-speed real-time image processing. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithms are quite successful.

Enhancement of Signal-to-noise Ratio Based on Multiplication Function for Phi-OTDR

  • We propose a novel methodology based on the multiplication function to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for vibration detection in a phi optical time-domain reflectometer system (phi-OTDR). The extreme-mean complementary empirical mode decomposition (ECEMD) is designed to break down the original signal into a set of inherent mode functions (IMFs). The multiplication function in terms of selected IMFs is used to determine a vibration's position. By this method, the SNR of a phi-OTDR system is enhanced by several orders of magnitude. Simulations and experiments applying the method to real data prove the validity of the proposed approach.

HSI 색상 모델에서 색상 분할을 이용한 교통 신호등 검출과 인식 (Traffic Signal Detection and Recognition Using a Color Segmentation in a HSI Color Model)

  • This paper proposes a new method of the traffic signal detection and the recognition in an HSI color model. The proposed method firstly converts a ROI image in the RGB model to in the HSI model to segment the color of a traffic signal. Secondly, the segmented colors are dilated by the morphological processing to connect the traffic signal light and the signal light case and finally, it extracts the traffic signal light and the case by the aspect ratio using the connected component analysis. The extracted components show the detection and the recognition of the traffic signal lights. The proposed method is implemented using C language in Raspberry Pi 4 system with a camera module for a real-time image processing. The system was fixedly installed in a moving vehicle, and it recorded a video like a vehicle black box. Each frame of the recorded video was extracted, and then the proposed method was tested. The results show that the proposed method is successful for the detection and the recognition of traffic signals.

  • The purpose of this paper is development of portable cardiovascular signal processing device. Beat-to-beat fluctuation in heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure have been known to be meditated by autonomic nervous system activities convergent on various effector organs. This system consists of data acquisition module, main data processing module and graphic LCD module. The data acquisition module is developed for data aquisition, data multiplexing and interfacing with main data processing system. And, main data processing module is developed for data storing, data processing and interfacing with graphic LCD module. The main processing system is based on 32-bit microprocessor.
