The social welfare should consider more diversified aspects in this complicated society. We are already living in the information society that can not survive without computers and the internet, and living in the personalized society with the progression of 1 person households. Therefore modern society needs social welfare realization methods which are reflecting the progression of 1 person households and characteristics of the information society. It is different with the previous social welfare formats and it would become an efficient social welfare realization method. How computer games can contribute to social welfare of the modern society is described in this paper.
This study introduces coding education using functional game and the effect of game quality on learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the difference of game quality on the learner's attitude, learning immersion, education satisfaction and preference for elementary school and junior high school students. In this study, it is meaningful to consider the effect of quality improvement of educational games on learning and we suggest that when designing an educational game, game performance and quality should be considered carefully.
This study was attained to examine the relationship between the videogame players' motivation and loyalty, and to investigate the mediator effect of flow. We conducted a survey based on former researches and verified outcomes through empirical analysis. The results proposed that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation have positive influence on game loyalty, and flow has the mediating effect of this relationship. Additionally, extrinsic motivation has less impact on game loyalty and flow than intrinsic motivation does. The inherent value of game players from this paper will promote the development of VR(virtual reality) games or serious games.
This paper introduces an educational game development method for the purpose of designing game as part of school curriculum activities, base on experimental case of making history learning game for private elementary schools in Korea. Our first approach was to define a game as a educational learning tool like any other media and mediating platform such as smart phones or other applications. We regard user as a player, and students as a end user and decision making-customers. Unlike other game development process we brought service design methode to the development process, making a game platform that is specially designed for teachers' teaching tool, which is easy and effective to use to ther subject of teacher's intention. Based on our research case, we suggest educational games development methodology which can be better suited for games with school curriculum in learning environment.
Recently, a variety of methodologies based on the use of educational coding robots have been proposed and experimented in newly emerging korean educational coding markets. Due to imprecise movement accuracy of the existing coding robots, however, such robots are mainly used as a toy. Inspired by these observations, we developed a simple adjustment method during robot movements, which is based on the observation results of 6 line-tracking sensors: 3 sensors in the center of a robot and other 3 sensors at the front. These sensors help to determine whether the robot is in the right location and whether it rotates as expected. Through the well-designed experiments, we report the effectiveness of our proposed solution: the average distance error of 1.57cm and the average degree error of 2.38 degree before and after complex movements. In near future, we hope our method to be popularly used in various educational coding robot platforms.

Through the convergence of the games industry value creation is possible regions. It typically appears as a Serious Game. Education, medical, defense such as industry and convergence are creating greater added value. The government also identified the importance of the games industry, and the budget set, game development, support business, human resources development policy, along with business and industry to industry to solve the social problems of regulatory policy and operations are being announced. However, by accessing it from a different perspective on the continued growth of the industry's problems is thought to act as. Thus, policymakers in government positions and in fact industry to conduct business in the private sector to reflect both the position of the design of a new development approach is needed. In this study examines the current game industry development policies, as well as activities at corporate level and industry level, the activities of national at the same time that the service should consider using a model with an integrated perspective of the games industry development policy is proposed.
Today the lectures are usually practiced in a teacher-led traditional classroom system or a student-led e-learning system. Students passively follow the teacher's lectures in both systems, though. Also due to the advances in 3D Computer Graphics and Game technologies, there are trials to exploit the positive effect of games in learning. The serious games, specifically designed games for an educational goal, or existing games for a special class have been used as lectures. Still these games have a great difficulty in being integrated into the educational system technically and economically. Therefore a new 3D MMORPG based lecturing system is presented in this paper. In our new lecturing system, the characteristics of a 3D MMORPG, achievement, sociality, and immersion, are provided to motivate students to participate actively in a lecture. A teacher and students interact with each other in realtime as 3D characters in a 3D virtual classroom on-line. An ordinary teacher can also easily apply our new system to existing classes since a teacher only needs to specify a slide file to prepare a lecture. For the future work, a user study and the effect of our new lecturing system will be performed.
This paper shows the need to study the commercialized color book game screen composition and manipulation interface type in order to enhance the utilization of the serious game mobile coloring book game, which is utilized from the learning of color sense in modern people and children to the hobby life of adults or old people. For the healing of modern people, we are going to look at the design configuration of game screen interfaces in simple and fun mobile coloring book games, and propose a new way to improve interface design that improves uncomfortable design by organizing and analyzing basic interface UI design types.

The main goal of this research is to invest the difficulties in the process of developing serious game for science learning to acquire the suggestion. We analysed the journals written by developers of game scenario on the procedure of the development and on the review of the accomplished game. Then we also interviewed the scenario developers as well as game developers. When interviewing the game developers, we passed them the thoughts and questions of scenario developers. The possible difficulties in developing serious game are form the difference of cognitions on the skills which can be embodied in the development process and interaction and communication problem between scenario developers and game developers. As a consequence of the research, we acquired some suggestions for developing serious game as follows; 1) Scenario developers and game developers must understand the concepts of serious game as well as learning theory; 2) Both scenario developers and game developers should be aware of secured technological capacity and allowed time period. 3) Scenario developer should take a part of game developer' role as using a learning contents authoring tool; 4) Scenario developers have to consistently interact with game developers in developing the games; 5) Scenario should be concretely described in detail; and 6) A Supervisor is essential to control both scenario developers and game developers.
This study is based on the theory of R.Caillois about element of play which is motivated to infant for studying Hangul. The ultimate goal of play has to be accompanied by pleasure. And learning means permanent changes from experiences for the individual's. Play and learning, these two elements are united to the genre of serious game since the GBL (game based learning) was lead. Most importantly, in order to achieve their own Hangul learning is the fun. Coupled with fun and learning has an important issue for flow because concentration is low in infants than adults. In this case study is to know about fun factor has been applied effectively to Hangul serious mobile game. 20 Infant Hangul mobile serious games of Google Android mobile game section were selected as a case study based on more than 10,000 downloads and user's review rate by April 22, 2014. After that is currently available on the market can play a variety of cases of infant learning Hangul from previous research of R.Caillois offers four categories of play. R.Caillois of Agon, Mimicry, Alea, Ilinx have unique characteristics in comparison with its functional characteristics Hangul four are present any role in Hangul serious mobile games. As a result of the cases selected and the rules of the game will include a maximum of two of the most common types of Agon. Each attribute of the play, rather than one single factor is applied to four kinds of game play performance when properties are distributed to experience together gave the best flow. As a result of this study will be a based research for infants Hangul serious mobile game reflects the properties of the elements of a fun game that you want to combine learning.
