한국과 일본의 감각통합 교육 프로그램의 변화 (The Change of Sensory Integration Educational Program in Korea and Japan)

  • Six members of Korean association of sensory integration(KASI) participated the treatment course named C-course of japanese association for the study of sensory integrative dysfunction(JASSID) during Jul. 27$\sim$Aug. 3, 2005. After the course, we investigated the education program of Japan and Korea and how it had been changed and developed. Through investigating JASSID with history for 23 years and KASI with history for 8 years, we find out that the common contents of sensory integration exist and the diversities of their own cultural and social contexts also exist. In korea, KASI would develop our own educational program and research based on having the close relationship with Japan and other former country developed education of sensory integration.

감각통합치료적 접근에서의 부모교육 프로그램의 만족도 (The Parent Educational Program With a Sensory Integration Approach for Developmental Disabilities)

  • Objective : The purpose of this paper was to suggest a model of the parent educational program with a sensory integration approach for developmental disabilities. Methods : A questionnaire survey were conducted to investigate the needs of the parent educational program and the satisfaction on after of the parent educational program with sensory integration for developmental disabilities. The parent educational program was completed by 8 mothers and each one children with developmental disabilities ranging in age from five to six years for five weeks. The parent educational program with sensory integration approach were consisted of the lecture, an exploration group and individual counseling for parent and individual evaluation and treatment, and group treatment for children. Results : 1. In the needs of the parent education, 50% for active participation of parent and 40% for the understanding with children. 2. In the satisfaction for the parent educational program with sensory integration, 9.3/10point for a individual education with the home program, 9.0/10point for the understanding with children, 8.7/10point for the chance of a participation in sensory integration program, 6.7/10point for a individual treatment, 5.7/10point for a group treatment. Conclusion : The parent educational program with sensory integration suggest that its useful program to understanding their children and sensory integration for parent.

Comparative Systematic Review of Korea Domestic and International Studies on Sensory Integration Therapy in Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • This systematic review compared Korean and international researches on sensory integration therapy in patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We targeted studies on sensory integration therapy for patients with ASD published from January 2000 through July 2016. Specifically, we analyzed the papers that used the phrase 'sensory integration, autism' as keywords. There were fewer Korean studies of sensory integration therapy, and the diversity of research topics were limited, focusing mainly on case studies. There was no difference between the internal/external validity of Korean and those of international studies targeting the clinical environment and patients. Further study of a variety of aspects of sensory integration therapy is needed to gain high internal/external validity.

감각통합치료가 발달장애 아동의 기능적 쥐기에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Sensory Integration on Functional Grasp in Developmental Disabled Child)

  • Objective : The experiment consists of measuring functional grasp ability of a child suffering from sensory defense disability of the hands as the child is treated with sensory integration therapy. Methods : We treated two-year-old child with developmental disability to set up the reversal design(ABAB design). We used treatment equipments, free activities, and toys for sensory integration therapy. Results : A child's functional grasp ability did not show anything before the sensory integration therapy, however, after the sensory integration was applied during the first treatment(Treatment 1), the five minutes before the treatment, it averaged 1.87 times(ranges=0 to 5 times), the five minutes after the treatment, it averaged 1.25 times(ranges=0 to 8 times) showing an increased. After ending the sensory integration therapy, the functional grasp ability averaged 2.5 times before the therapy and 4 times after the therapy, which showed a totally different tendency, when we reapplied the treatment during the second treatment(Treatment 2), it averaged 2.4 times(ranges=1 to 4 times) before the treatment, and it averaged 5.3 times(ranges=4 to 6 times) after the treatment, which showed a big improvement. Conclusion : The sensory integration therapy brought an increase in functional grasp ability along with improvement in daily life functions of the child. For this result, there should be more research to see more effects and results to help those in need.

성인에게 적용된 감각통합 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰 (Intervention of Sensory Integration for Adult Patients: A Systematic Review)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 성인을 대상으로 한 감각통합 중재를 체계적으로 분석함으로써 감각 통합 중재를 성인에게 적용할 수 있음을 알리고 그 근거를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : 전자 데이터베이스인 Pubmed, Scopus, SAGE Journal, Medline, RISS 데이터베이스를 사용하여 1980년부터 2017년까지의 논문을 검색하였다. 주요 검색어는"(sensory integration OR sensory processing OR sensory integrative OR sensory based OR sensory defensiveness) AND adult" 를 사용하였다. 최종적으로 8편의 논문을 본 연구의 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 논문은 Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome(PICO) 형식을 사용하여 연구대상자, 중재 방법, 종속변인, 결과를 정리하였다. 결과 : 연구 대상자 유형에는 학습장애, 지적장애, 감각처리에 어려움이 있는 성인, 치매가 있었다. 종속변인에 따른 평가도구와 중재방법은 진단의 특성과 연구자의 연구 의도에 따라 다양하였으며, 중재결과는 대부분의 연구에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통하여 감각통합중재가 성인에게 적용될 수 있음과 그 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 작업치료사에게 임상적 근거를 제공하고자 하였으며, 추후에는 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 성인을 대상으로 감각통합중재를 적용하는 방법에 대한 근거 마련을 위한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

그룹 감각통합치료가 학령기 감각통합장애 아동의 실행능력과 사회성 향상에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Sensory Integration Group Program on Praxis and Socialization for School-aged Children With Sensory Integration Dysfunction)

  • 목적: 본연구는 그룹 감각통합치료를 통해 학령기 감각통합장애 아동의 실행, 사회성에 미치는 효과에 대하여 알아보았다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 만 7~13세의 학령기 아동 5명으로, 실2험기간은 009년 6월에서 11월까지였다. 그룹 감각통합치료는 주 1회, 회7기 당 0분씩 총 26회기의 그룹 감각통합치료를 실시하였다. 아동의 실행능력을 알아보기 위해 Bruininks-Oseretasky Test of Motor Proficiency(BOT-2), 사회성을 알아보기 위해 사회성 기초기능척도를 사용하였다. 그룹 감각통합치료의 효과를 알아보기 위해 단일집단 사전-사후 설계(one group pretest-posttest design)을 사용하였다. 그룹 감각통합치료 사전/사후의 BOT-2,(Wi사회성 기초기능척도의 차이는 윌콕슨 순위검정 lcoxon matched-pairs signed ranks test)을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 그룹 감각통합치료는 학령기 아동의 실행능력, 사회성 향상에 효과가 있었다. 결론: 본 연구는 감각통합장애가 있는 학령기 아동에게 그룹 감각통합치료에 대한 효과를 제시하여 학령기 아동의 그룹치료에 대한 초기연구모델을 제시하였으며, 감각통합 치료적용이 보다 확대될 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 향후 연구에서 연구 대상자의 수를 늘리고 표준 데이터를 제시해 줄 수 있는 다양한 평가기준을 사용한다면 보다 객관적이고 긍정적인 결과가 나올 것으로 사료된다.

대한감각통합치료학회지의 연구동향: 2013~2022년 (Research Trends in the Journal of Korean Academy of Sensory Integration from 2013 to 2022)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 최근 10년간 발행되어 대한감각통합치료학회지에 게재된 논문을 연구 형태, 연구 수준 및 설계, 연구 대상자, 연구 분야로 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 2013년 6월부터 2022년 12월까지 대한감각통합치료학회지에 게재된 논문 130개를 분석대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석은 연구자의 지역과 소속, 연구 형태, 연구 수준 및 설계, 연구 대상자의 연령 및 진단명, 연구 분야로 나누어 알아보았다. 결과 : 연구자는 경상도 지역과 학교 소속이 가장 많았다. 연구 형태는 기술적 연구가 가장 많았고, 년도 별로 구분하였을 때 평가도구 연구의 수가 증가하였다. 연구 수준 및 설계에서는 수준 IV에서 가장 많은 연구가 있었고, 년도 별 구분에서도 꾸준히 연구의 수가 증가하였다. 연구 대상자는 아동 중 주의력결핍과잉행동장애 진단을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았다. 독립변수를 중심으로 연구 분야를 알아보았을 때, 개별 감각통합치료의 적용이 가장 많았고, Ayres Sensory Integration®(ASI)과 원격감각통합치료 프로그램과 같이 변형된 적용의 형태를 보였다. 결론 : 본 연구의 결과를 통해 대한감각통합치료학회지에 게재된 최근 10년간의 연구 동향을 파악할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 감각통합치료와 아동 중재를 위한 연구의 방향 설정과 교육 과정 개발에 기초 자료가 되길 기대한다.

실행기능장애 아동에 대한 감각통합치료 캠프의 효과 - 사례보고 (The Effects of Sensory Integration Therapy Camp in Children With Dyspraxia : Case Study)

  • Objective : To identify the effect of intensive sensory integration therapy through 5 days camp programs for children with dyspraxia Methods : A comparison of quantitative date and qualitative description between before and after sensory integration therapy camp described adaptative response of children and individual home-based program was designed and therapist educated parents about it. Results : The problem of control and apraxia which children have was improved rather than before camp and adaptive response increased. Conclusion : Follow-up study is needed to observe and investigate the effect of continuous treatment after camp participation.

감각통합치료에서 고유수용성 감각 활동에 관한 고찰 (The Review of Proprioceptive Activities in Sensory Integration Intervention)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide definition of proprioception, foundations and roles of neuroanatomy, and systemical review of proprioceptive activities in sensory integration intervention. Proprioception exists in muscle, ligaments, joints and skin and it plays important role in controling body movements and interacting with environment during child development. Proprioception interacting with tactile and vestibular systems contributes to the change of muscle tone, postural control, refinements of planning and praxis. Children who are deficit in proprioceptive processing would seek hypo-responsive proprioceptive input or avoid hyperactive one. Outcome of poor proprioceptive input would cause the problems of praxis and postural control. Because proprioception provides information about the position and movement of body and limb it is important for development of body scheme and motor planning. It also influences the arousal and emotional tone. Sensory integration intervention which provides rich proprioceptive activities will improve the level of arousal and enhance motor planning.

감각통합훈련이 20대 대학생들의 균형능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Sensory Integration Training on Equilibrium Ability in the College Students of the Twenties)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of sensory integration training on equilibrium ability in the college students of the twenties. Methods : The sensory integration training group(male: n=10, female: n=9) was measured an equilibrium ability by Kinesthetic Ability Trainer(KAT) at pre-intervention and post-intervention in 4weeks. Results : Mean value of eye close both leg standing and eye close one leg standing tests of the sensory integration training group were significantly reduced among the intervention period(p<.05). Conclusion : We were found that sensory integration training could reduce mean value of eye close both leg standing and eye close one leg standing tests and improve a balance for the college students of the twenties.
