One of the prominent phenomena since 1960's is the diversity of concepts. It is to deny the standard of meta structure in judging value as a framework of truth understanding. M. Foucault says that we are living in a synchronous, parallel, and scattered epoch. In the architectural approach and interpretation of Ungers, such a phenomenon appears as multi-dimensional relations. The works of Ungers show the concrete manifestation of such thoughts since 1960's. He has exerted significant influence on German architecture through his book ‘Architecture as Theme’ and architectural works. His architecture has focuses on analogy and abstraction on the foundation of his well defined theory. As the features, it shows dialectic relations, mix of confrontation, interests in geometry and morphology. In this respects, the paper tries to find out the relationship between his architectural thoughts and the paintings of Rene Magritte in terms of the attributes of doubleness in the sense of a paradox. Ungers himself refers that he was directly influenced by Magritte.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of child care and it's costs between the full time housewives and employed wives' families with preschool children. the results of this study were as follows ; 1) The child care was performed primarily by herselves in the case of full time housewives' families, whereas the child care of employed wife families was done by babysitter or nursing facilities. 2) Most of unemployed wives' families undertook the burden of time cost, whereas the families of employed wives had to pay heavy expenses of money cost f9or the child care arrangements 3) In the estimation of money cost for the child care arrangements income had the highest effect. In contrast with this, in the case of time cost, occupational status of housewives had the highest effect. It was suggested for enhancing the sense of well - being of housewife it is necessary to perceive the value of household production and the social support for child care arrangements in all families, whether unemployed or employed.

Digital media changed not only our lifestyle and sense of value but also art and space design, and development of technology will accelerate the alteration. It provided limitless possibility and inspiration to art, architecture and design. In this 'image' era, media communicate with us mostly in visual method, which gets to he realized by visual interface. The purpose of this study is to analyze the tendency of visual interface of contemporary interior design cases in the standpoint of digital media characteristics and suggest directions for future space design. The characteristics of digital media and interface are defined, and how the concept unfolded in art, design is also discussed. In interior design, the concepts come out as various types of visual interface, showing the characteristics of composition of material and immaterial, interaction between visual information and space users and among users, realization of cyberspace and simultaneous coexistence of multiple space-time multi-layer.

The problem of estimating the dynamic response of a distributed parameter system excited by a moving vehicle with random initial velocity and random vehicle body mass is investigated. By adopting the Galerkin's method and modal analysis, a set of approximate governing equations of motion possessing time-dependent uncertain coefficients and forcing function is obtained, and then the dynamic response of the coupled system can be calculated in deterministic sense. The statistical characteristics of the responses of the system are computed by using improved perturbation approach with respect to mean value. This method is simple and useful to gather the stochastic structural response due to the vehicle-passenger-bridge interaction. Furthermore, some of the statistical numerical results calculated from the perturbation technique are checked by Monte Carlo simulation.

This paper presents a numerical study of the behavior of the transformer winding, when stressed by the standard impulse voltage. The mathematical model of the transformer takes several points into the account. Capacitance of not adjacent winding as well as adjacent winding, eddy current loss caused by self and mutual inductance given as the functions of frequency. Not like the previous approach where calculation of capacitance is performed, in average sense. In this paper, capacitance of both adjacent and not adjacent winding is calculated using the numerical approach(B.E.M.), so they can get the more accurate value of capacitance. Because of frequency dependency of inductance, numerical-laplace-transform technique is required. Finally, to validate this approach, a simple test winding is simulated.

We prove that for any continuous function f on the s-harmonic (1{\infty})$ boundary of a complete Riemannian manifold M, there exists a solution, which is a limit of a sequence of bounded energy finite solutions in the sense of supremum norm, for a certain elliptic operator A on M whose boundary value at each s-harmonic boundary point coincides with that of f. If $E_1,\;E_2,...,E_{\iota}$ are s-nonparabolic ends of M, then we also prove that there is a one to one correspondence between the set of bounded energy finite solutions for A on M and the Cartesian product of the sets of bounded energy finite solutions for A on $E_i$ which vanish at the boundary ${\partial}E_{\iota}\;for\;{\iota}=1,2,...,{\iota}$

In this paper we investigate the growth of finite order solutions of the differential equation $f^{(k)}\;+\;A_{k-1}(Z)f^{(k-l)}\;+\;{\cdots}\;+\;A_1(z)f^{\prime}\;+\;A_0(z)f\;=\;F(z)$, where $A_0(z),\;{\cdots}\;,\;A_{k-1}(Z)\;and\;F(z)\;{\neq}\;0$ are entire functions. We find conditions on the coefficients which will guarantees the existence of an asymptotic value for a transcendental entire solution of finite order and its derivatives. We also estimate the lower bounds of order of solutions if one of the coefficient is dominant in the sense that has larger order than any other coefficients.

This study is concerned on the decorating design and method of handrail of the old residential houses. The method of studying is proceeding to select and survey the houses identified as the cultural properties that have the value of heritage in the handrail design. The conclusion as following ; Handrail play not only functional part but embellished part. The wood Handrails can be classified in two styles ; One "pyung"(평) style, another "keja"(계자) style. The former is composed of straight lines which looks simple. On the other hand, the latter contains the elavorated decoration which gives solid beauty. In conclusion, the characteristic of the handrail in Korean structure is found in the changing the sense of the lineal and curve beauty into the symmetrical line, and is fund in the variety of the high qualified details. Over its esthetic senses, the residents'hope and need for the goodness such as good omen, rich longevity and getting boys and formed as passive symbolic world, and the auspicious signed letters and the geometric and natural forms of plants, are expressed upon the decorating design of handrail. design of handrail.

The purpose of this study was to identify the change and characteristics of 20th Korean women's make-up the result of the study as follows: In the period 1920's 1.
