예비유아교사의 자아존중감이 자아탄력성과 정서조절능력 및 공감능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Preschool Infants' Self-elasticity on Emotional Control, Empathy, and Teacher Efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 자아존중감이 자아탄력성과 정서조절능력 및 공감능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 연구대상은 I 소재지의 W대학교 유아교육과 대학생 230명을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 자료처리는 SPSS 24.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 자아존중감은 자아탄력성과 정서조절능력 및 공감능력에 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각각의 하위변인에 있어서 자아탄력성에는 긍정성에 정서조절능력에는 자기정서조절능력에 그리고 공감능력에는 인지적 공감능력에 가장 큰 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감이 자아탄력성에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 하위변인 중 일반적 자아개념, 자기책임, 개인적인 성실 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감이 정서조절능력에 있어서는 개인적인 성실에 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 자아존중감이 공감능력에 미치는 영향은 자기주장이 공감능력에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 볼 때 예비유아교사의 자아존중감에 대한 중요성을 재인식하게 되었으며, 교육과정에 있어서 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 다양한 교육활동 연구가 필요함을 시사하는 사료가 된다.

사무직 근로자를 위한 사회인지이론 기반 걷기 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of Walking Program based on Social Cognitive Theory for Office Workers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a walking program for office workers in terms of social cognitive theory, walking activities and physiological indexes. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. The sample consisted of 50 office workers who were identified as having low levels of physical activity according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ Research Committee, 2005). The participants were recruited from two companies in Seoul. Of the 50 participants, 26 were assigned to the non-equivalent experimental group and 24 to the control group. The walking program consisted of six didactic sessions via e-mail, two individual telecoaching sessions and three support group meetings over ten weeks. Data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 program. Results: The non-equivalent experimental group reported significantly higher posttest scores in walking activities and adhering to the walking protocol than the control group. There were no differences in reported self-efficacy, outcome expectations, body mass index and blood pressure between the two groups. Conclusion: These findings indicate that a walking program based on social cognitive theory is effective in increasing physical activities for office workers.

고령임부 대상 모바일 웹 기반 임신 건강관리 교육프로그램 효과 (Effects of a Mobile Web-based Pregnancy Health Care Educational Program for Mothers at an Advanced Maternal Age)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a mobile web-based pregnancy health care educational program for mothers who were at an advanced maternal age (AMA) and to verify the effects of the program on pregnancy health care. Methods: This program was developed using a web-based teaching-learning system design model and composed of 10 subject areas. This research was a quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest time serial design and data were collected from April 2 to May 3, 2014. To verify the effects of the program, it was used for 2 weeks with 30 AMA mothers (experimental group). For the control group, a classroom education booklet for pregnant women used with 31 AMA mothers. Results: The experimental group having participated in program had statistically significantly higher scores for knowledge (t=3.76, p <.001), self-efficacy (t=8.54, p <.001), and practice behavior (t=4.88, p <.001) of pregnancy health care, compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results of the program indicate that a Mobile web-based pregnancy health care educational program is effective in meeting the needs of AMA mothers and can be used as the prenatal educational program for AMA mothers and is appropriate as an educational media for theses mothers.

남자 대학생에 대한 금연교육의 효과 (Effects of Smoking Cessation Education for Male College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of smoking cessation education using the transtheoretical model on the process of change, smoking temptation, decisional balance and stage change transition. Methods: A nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design was used for this study. The study population was 44 male college students in the experimental group and 66 students in the control group. Smoking cessation education was administered to the experimental group at one university. Descriptive analysis, t-test, and ANCOVA were used with the SPSS 19.0 program to analyze the data. Results: After providing a smoking cessation program, the experimental group showed significantly higher scores for self-efficacy for smoking cessation, process of change, and a lower score in decisional balance for pros of smoking and nicotine dependancy compared to the control group two weeks after the pre-test. However, no significant differences were found at four weeks after the pre-test. Conclusion: The findings indicate that this program could have a positive effect on process of change, decisional balance and stage transition for college student smokers.

운동프로그램이 노인의 신체적, 생리적, 정서적 상태에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of an Exercise Program on the Physical, Physiological and Emotional Status of the Aged)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of an exercise program on the physical, physiological, and emotional status of the aged. Method: This research adopted a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 46 elders aged over 60 who were selected from those registered at three local health centers in G City, and 27 of them were assigned to the experimental group and 19 to the control group. The independent variable was the exercise program, and the dependent variables were physical status, physiological status, and emotional status. The exercise program was Performed for 60 minutes per time, 3 times a week and for 6 weeks. Data were collected from October to November, 2005. Result: Compared to the control group, the experimental group showed significant improvements in right lower extremity strength (F=46.119, p=.000), left lower extremity strength (F=53.265, p=.000) and waist flexibility (t=3.183, p=.003) as physical status, and in depression (t=-3.703, p=.001), perceived health status (t=4.821, p=.000), and self efficacy (t=3.866, p=.000) as emotional status. Conclusion: The results showed that the exercise program was effective in promoting the physical status, physiological status, and emotional status of the aged. Therefore, it is recommended to apply the program as a nursing intervention in clinical practice and education in communities.

수중운동이 여성 관절염환자의 통증과 피로, 체력, 일상활동장애 및 심리적 변수에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of an Aquatic Exercise Program on Pain, Fatigue, Physical Fitness, Disability in ADL, and Psychological Variables in Women with Arthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of aquatic exercise on pain, fatigue, physical fitness, disability in ADL, and psychological variables in women with arthritis. Methods: With a quasi-experimental design, 46 women who has arthritis were assigned into an experimental group (n=23), or a control group (n=23). Data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANCOVA. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 60.9 years in the experimental group and 59.8 years in the control group. The pretest scores of the outcome variables were similar between the two groups except fatigue and waist flexibility. After controlling fatigue and waist flexibility, the experimental group showed more improvement than the control group in Rt shoulder flexibility score (F=4.36, p=.04), sit-up score (F=32.34, p=.00), and muscle strength score (F=30.78, p=.00). The score of disability in ADL decreased in the experimental group (F=5.49, p=.02). The depression score decreased in the experimental group (F=12.01, p=.00), and self-efficacy was improved more than the other variables(F=8.88, p=.00). Conclusion: Aquatic exercise is likely to be an effective nursing intervention to improve physical fitness, to reduce pain, fatigue, and disability in ADL, and to enhance psychological functions in women with arthritis.

간호대학생을 위한 상황학습 기반 의사소통능력 향상 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of Communication Empowerment Program Based on Situated Learning Theory for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of a communication empowerment program based on situated learning theory for nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. The study participants were 61 nursing students (31 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group) from G city. Data were collected from November 3, 2015 to December 10, 2015. The experimental group received eight sessions of the program, which were scheduled twice a week, with each session lasting two hours. The data were analyzed using chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, and an independent t-test using SPSS/WIN 20.0. Results: There were significant increases in self-efficacy for communication (t=2.62, p=.011), emotional intelligence (t=2.66, p=.010), and interpersonal communication competence (t=2.87, p=.006) in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: Based on the findings, our study suggests a need to include content from communication curricula or clinical communication training programs for improving undergraduate nursing students' communication skills in practice settings.

The Effectiveness of a mHealth Program Using Wearable Devices and Health Coaching among Bus Drivers for Promoting Physical Activity

  • Purpose: Bus drivers are at high risk of chronic diseases due to risk factors associated with poor diet, physical inactivity, high levels of sedentary behaviors, and unfavorable working environments. This study developed a mHealth program for bus drivers, and examined the effectiveness of a mHealth program for promoting physical activity among bus drivers using wearable devices and health coaching. Methods: Forty-seven workers from two bus companies were allocated to the experimental group and the control group. Participants were asked to wear a wearable device (Fitbit Charge HR) during waking hours for a day. Participants in the experimental group were provided with a Fitbit, weekly face-to-face health coaching, a mHealth workbook, and text and photo messaging for 12 weeks. The control group only received a Fitbit. Results: By week 12, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in exercise self-efficacy (p<.015) and daily walking steps (p<.001). Conclusion: The findings have demonstrated that the mHealth program using wearable devices and health coaching is effective for bus drivers for promoting physical activity. Based on our findings, it is recommended to encourage the mHealth program using wearable devices and health coaching for bus drivers' wellness.

간호대학생을 대상으로 표준화 환자를 활용한 고혈당 대상자 간호 교육프로그램 개발 및 효과 (The development and effects of a nursing education program for hyperglycemia patient care using standardized patients for nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a nursing education program for hyperglycemia patient care using standardized patients. Methods: This study used a nonequivalent control group pre-test and post-test non-synchronized design. A total of 50 senior university nursing students who had completed an adult nursing course participated in this study (experimental group, n=24; control group, n=26). This nursing education program was developed according to the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The collected data were analyzed using χ2 -test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, paired t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. Results: Significant differences were shown between the experimental and control groups in clinical performance ability (F=277.41, p<.001), communication skills (F=47.18, p<.001), self-efficacy (F=3.81, p=.031), and learning satisfaction (t=2.25, p=.033). Problem-solving ability was not statistically significant between the groups. Conclusion: The nursing education program for hyperglycemia patient care using standardized patients was effective in improving nursing students' clinical performance ability, communication skills, and learning satisfaction. Therefore, it is proposed that the education program developed in this study be used as part of an education program to enhance nursing students' abilities in caring for hyperglycemia patients.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to exam me the effects of aquatic exercise on pain, fatigue, body composition, physical fitness and psychological variables in women with arthritis. Method: With a quasi-experimental design, 37 women who had arthritis were assigned into an experimental group (n=19) or a control group (n=18). Aquatic exercise consisted of one hour of exercise in water, two days per week, for six weeks and a self-help process. Measures included physiologic and psychological variables before and after the exercise. Data was analyzed with the SPSS WIN using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANCOVA. Result: The mean age of the subjects was 59 years in the experimental group and 52 years in the control group. Pretest scores in outcome variables were similar in both groups except BMI and body fat(%). After controlling for age, shoulder flexibility scores in the experimental group improved more than the control group (Rt: F=10.58, p=.003; Lt: F=5.91, p= .02; Waist: F=4.95, p= .03). Depression scores in the experimental group decreased (F=12.96, p= .001), and self efficacy and quality of life improved more than the others (F=5.07, p= .03; F=6.9l, p= .01). Conclusion: Aquatic exercise can improve waist flexibility and shows consistent findings of improved shoulder flexibility and psychological function in women with arthritis.
