Mass-analyzed Threshold Ionization Spectrometry with Scrambling Field Optimized for the Study of State-selective Ion Reaction Dynamics

  • Mass-analyzed threshold ionization (MATI) technique is optimized to generate substantial amount of state-selected molecular ions sufficient for dynamics study. The main strategy is to stabilize intermediate (n = 100- 200) Rydberg states by l,m-mix ing induced by AC field. Electrical jitter inherent in high voltage switching is utilized for this purpose. A related technique to locate the MATI onset is also described.

  • 스크램블링 기술을 적용한 AMI/HDB-3 방식은 장거리 데이터전송 회선부호화에 주로 사용된다. 본 논문은 정보통신용 부호 표준(KS X 1001 ; 2014 확인)에 규정되어 있는 한글낱자, 한글고어낱자용 부호집합에 대하여 데이터 링크 계층에서 HDLC Flag의 비트 또는 문자 스터핑과 물리계층의 AMI/HDB-3 스크램블링 측면에서 데이터 전송효율을 높이는 새로운 한글낱자용 부호집합 체계를 제시하였다. 기존 부호집합 체계와 비교를 위해 ($4{\times}4$) 비트 원천부호화 규칙과 한글낱자 사용빈도 통계를 적용한 결과, 약 22.01%의 데이터 처리효율이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다.

Hybrid Color and Grayscale Images Encryption Scheme Based on Quaternion Hartley Transform and Logistic Map in Gyrator Domain

  • A hybrid color and grayscale images encryption scheme based on the quaternion Hartley transform (QHT), the two-dimensional (2D) logistic map, the double random phase encoding (DRPE) in gyrator transform (GT) domain and the three-step phase-shifting interferometry (PSI) is presented. First, we propose a new color image processing tool termed as the quaternion Hartley transform, and we develop an efficient method to calculate the QHT of a quaternion matrix. In the presented encryption scheme, the original color and grayscale images are represented by quaternion algebra and processed holistically in a vector manner using QHT. To enhance the security level, a 2D logistic map-based scrambling technique is designed to permute the complex amplitude, which is formed by the components of the QHT-transformed original images. Subsequently, the scrambled data is encoded by the GT-based DRPE system. For the convenience of storage and transmission, the resulting encrypted signal is recorded as the real-valued interferograms using three-step PSI. The parameters of the scrambling method, the GT orders and the two random phase masks form the keys for decryption of the secret images. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme has high security level and certain robustness against data loss, noise disturbance and some attacks such as chosen plaintext attack.

  • The method of using fiber speckle patterns can be applied to the multiplexing of volume holograms. Fiber speckle patterns enable various multiplexing techniques such as shift, angular, and mode-scrambling methods Hybrid methods involving more than one multiplexing technique are also possible. Some images are stored and retrieved with one or two of multiplexing methods, and the experimental results are discussed.

Application of Correlation-Aided DSA(CDSA) Technique to Fast Cell Search in IMT-2000 W-CDMA Systems.

  • In this paper we introduce the correlation-aided distributed sample acquisition (CDSA) scheme for fast cell search in IMT-2000 W-CDMA cellular system. The proposed scheme incorporates the state symbol correlation process into the comparison-correction based synchronization process of the original DSA scheme to enable fast acquisition even under very poor channel environment. for its realization, each mobile station (MS) has to store in its memory a set of state sample sequences. which are determined by the long-period scrambling sequences used in the system and the sampling interval of the state samples. CDSA based cell search is carried out in two stages : First, the MS first acquires the slot timing by using the primary synch code (PSC) and then identifies the igniter code which conveys the state samples of the current cell . Secondly. the MS identifies the scrambling code and frame timing by taking the comparison-correction based synchronization approach and, if the identification is not done satisfactorily within preset time. it initiates the state symbol correlation process which correlates the received symbol sequence with the pre-stored state sample sequences for a successful identification. As the state symbol SNR is relatively high. the state symbol correlation process enables reliable synchronization even in very low chip-SNR environment. Simulation results show that the proposed CDSA scheme outperforms the 3GPP 3-step approach, requiring the signal power of about 7 dB less for achieving the same acquisition time performance in low-SNR environments. Furthermore, it turns out very robust in the typical synchronization environment where large frequency offset exists.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 차세대 인터넷 백본망 구축을 위한 대안의 하나로 주목받고 있는 IP over SONET/SDH 기술에 대해 설명한다. 먼저 IP over SONET/SDH의 프로토콜 스택에 대해 소개하고 기존 스크램블러의 고의적인 패킷 손실 가능성에 의해 제안된 해결책을 설명한다. 그리고 IP Over SONET/SDH에 의한 백본망의 구조에 대해서 소개한다. 마지막으로 차세대 인터넷 백본 기술의 또 다른 대안인 IP over SONET/SDH기술과 비교하고 각 기술의 장단점을 고려한 차세대 백본망 구축의 최적 대안을 제시하도록 하였다.

A CoMFA Study of Quinazoline-based Anticancer Agents

  • Cancer has emerged as one of the leading cause of deaths worldwide. A three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) analysis was performed on a series of quinazoline-based anticancer agents. Purpose of the study is to understand the structural basis for their inhibitory activity. Comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) technique was employed to develop 3D-QSAR model. Ligand-based alignment scheme was used to generate a reliable CoMFA model. The model produced statistically significant results with a cross-validated correlation coefficient ($q^2$) of 0.589 and a non-cross-validated correlation coefficient ($r^2$) of 0.928. Model was further validated by bootstrapping and progressive scrambling analysis. This study could assist in the design of novel and more potent anticancer agents.

  • 본 논문에서는 DC 억압능력이 없거나 부족한 코드에 만족할 만한 DC 억압능력을 갖도록 하기 위한 멀티모드코드 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 멀티모드코드는 데이터열의 다중화를 위해 Pseudo Scrambling Technique를 사용하며, 다중화 된 데이터열의 변조를 위해 DC-free RLL(d, k) Code를 사용하는 특징을 가진다. 제안한 방법에서는 Sync 코드워드의 패리티를 다중화 정보로 사용하여 입력데이터를 2개의 데이터 열로 다중화하고, 2개로 다중화 된 데이터 열에 대해 DC-free RLL(d, k) Code를 사용하여 코드워드로 변환하며, 코드워드로 변환된 2 개의 코드워드 열에 대해 DC 성분이 적은 코드워드 열 하나를 선택하여 변조 스트림으로 출력한다. 본 논문에서는 Sync 코드워드의 패리티를 다중화 정보로 사용하여 별도의 Redundancy를 부가하지 않고 DC 억압성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

Comma free 코드를 이용한 HDTV 신호의 직렬 전송 방식 (Serial interface system of HDTV signal in comma free code)

  • 이 논문은 comma free 코드를 사용한 새로운 직렬 전송 시스템을 묘사하였다. 일반적으로 병렬 25핀 케이블과 컨넥터는 HDVCR, D3VTR 및 HDTV 수신기와 같은 디지털 시스템에서 데이터를 전송 및 수신등에 사용된다. 동축 케이블은 소비자 상품의 응용 및 방송 스튜디오에서 긴 신호 경로와 전환등에 사용될 수 있다. 이 직렬 데이터 전송 기술은 에러 검출 및 자기 동기가 가능하며, PLL 제어를 위한 edge삽입이 용이하다. 뿐만 아니라 RFPLL, 스크램블링, NRZI등을 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 하드웨어가 간단하다.

Comparative Molecular Field Analysis of Pyrrolopyrimidines as LRRK2 Kinase Inhibitors

  • Leucine rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) is a highly promising target for Parkinson's disease (PD) that affects millions of people worldwide. A three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) analysis was performed on a series of pyrrolopyrimidine-based selective LRRK2 kinase inhibitors. This study was performed to rationalize the structural requirements responsible for the inhibitory activity of these compounds. A reliable 3D-QSAR model was developed using comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) technique. The model produced statistically acceptable results with a cross-validated correlation coefficient ($q^2$) of 0.539 and a non-cross-validated correlation coefficient ($r^2$) of 0.871. Robustness of the model was further evaluated by bootstrapping and progressive scrambling analysis. This work could assist in designing more potent LRRK2 inhibitors.
