Following the announcement made in 2007of the information education curriculum for high schools, India followed through with a similar announcement in June 2013 for an elementary school curriculum to be linked with that of the high schools. As a characteristic feature of India's educational curriculum, the structure is "helical" in nature, while interaction between teachers and students is emphasized as a key method for education. During the past few years India has revised its educational curriculum based on Bruner's 'Structure of Knowledge,' which has changed the paradigm of the nation's educational curriculum. This study analyzed India's educational curriculum that aims at a helical structure and, at the same time, emphasizes 'narrative' thinking in schools. The goal of this study is to discover possible suggestions or implications for Korea's information education curriculum by analyzing India's education that concurrently seeks to employ 'Structure of Knowledge' and 'Narrative' theories in a single educational curriculum.
This study was carried out to analyze the design pattern on engineering design curriculum P University based on the curriculum design model. For this study, the relation model between organizational factors by Drake & Burns(2004) and university curriculum design pattern Toohey(1999) were used as a frame of the analysis. From the analysis, we confirmed following results. Firstly, the relation between the subjects in the engineering design curriculum was designed to acquire the knowledges of facts, topics, and concepts and then to improve low-level skills, broad-range skills, and high-level skills related to engineering design sequently. Secondly, the design pattern of the engineering design curriculum analyzed in this paper is project and problem based structure. This result will be useful for reviewing and improving the relation between engineering design curriculum.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to strengthen the formation of relationship competence through the lesson in the housing of the 2015 revised Technology Home Economics curriculum. In order to achieve this goal, we analyzed curriculum documents, achievement standards of curriculum, achievement standards of assessment, and assessment standards of the 2015 revised Technology Home Economics curriculum. Then, we analyzed whether or not the curriculum could be truly reflected in the school site by comparing and analyzing verbs of the assessment standards and curriculum content system. In addition, we suggested the plan to ensure that 2015 revised curriculum can be implemented well by proposing a method of teaching-learning and assessment standards to cultivate the formation of relationship competence among the housing lessons. The results of the study are as follows. First, the 2015 revised Technology Home Economics curriculum are categorized into three subject competences according to the content, but eventually show the content is not mutually exclusive with the three subject competences. It can be said to demonstrate the characteristics of human ability development, that is, one learning can't be related only to one competency. Second, it is difficult to reflect the assessing subject competencies system in school education, where evaluation is carried out based on the assessment standards. This is because the skills of the 2015 revised curriculum documents are partially reflected in the assessment standards. Therefore, this study shows that teachers need to cultivate various subject competencies. In order to overcome the fundamental limitations of the competency-centered curriculum, it is necessary to retrain the teachers as well as to improve teaching and learning methods for operating the curriculum.

The purpose of this study is to explore the main characteristics regarding of implicating competence-based curriculum in Finland's home economics curriculum by analyzing curriculum documents and related literature. The research findings are categorized into four main characteristics. First, home economics in Finland belongs to the 7-9 grades. The key content areas are composed of 'food knowledge & skills and food culture', 'housing & living together' and 'consumer & financial skills' at an integrated approach. Secondly, the subject competences of home economics are not presented; however, the general objectives of transversal competences are defined in Finland's curriculum document. Transversal competences describe the aspects of the objectives that are emphasized in grades 7-9 and strengthens the connectivity with each subject. Thirdly, the objectives of home economics included in the instructions in Finland consist of a content system that links learning skills, content areas, and transversal competences. Both learning skills as a role of subject competences and content areas as objectives support teachers who restructure an curriculum. Fourth, in terms of achieving subject objectives, the assessment criteria in Finland home economics is to evaluate the achievement of good knowledge and skills through actual performance. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of students' academic achievement of middle school science curriculum achievement standards in the 2009 revised national curriculum and to generate implications for curriculum improvement. Based on the results of the 2015-2018 National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA), we analyzed middle school students' mastery of 84 curriculum achievement standards. In the analysis, we used representative item information by achievement level and correct answer rate and checked the validity of the determination of mastery. According to the results of the analysis, 15 of the 84 achievement standards could not determine the degree of achievement. In science, many achievement standards could be mastered only by above-average group students. By achievement level, there were six achievement standards that advanced achievement-level students did not achieve, 38 achievement standards judged to represent mastery by advanced achievement-level students, 23 achievement standards judged to represent mastery by proficient achievement-level students, and two achievement standards judged to represent mastery by basic achievement-level students. By content area, the number of achievement standards corresponding to advanced and proficient levels was similar in the areas of motion and energy and earth and space domains. In the material and life domains, there were more achievement standards corresponding to advanced levels. Accordingly, it is necessary to reinforce customized teaching and learning activities in relation to achievement standards that were under-achieved.

The goal of this study is to explore ways to restructure Convergence Elective Courses in science in preparation for the high school credit system, ahead of the 2022 revised science curriculum. This study started from the problem that the 2015 revised science curriculum has not guaranteed science subject choice for students with non-science/engineering career aptitudes. To this end, a survey was conducted by randomly sampling high schools across the country. A total of 1,738 students responded to the questionnaire of 3 science elective courses such as Science History, Life & Science, Convergence Science. In addition, in-depth interviews with 12 science teachers were conducted to examine the field operation of these three courses, which will be classified and revised as Convergence Elective subjects in the 2022 revised curriculum. According to the results of the study, high school students perceive these three courses as science literacy courses, and find these difficult to learn due to lack of personal interest, and difficulties in content itself. The reason students choose these three courses is mainly because they have aptitude for science, or these courses have connection with their desired career path. Teachers explained that students mainly choose Life & Science, and both teachers and students avoid Science History because the course content is difficult. Based on the research results, we suggested ways to restructure Convergence Electives for the 2022 revised curriculum including developing convergence electives composed of interdisciplinary convergence core concepts with high content accessibility, developing convergence electives with core concepts related to AI or advanced science, developing module-based courses, and supporting professional development of teachers who will teach interdisciplinary convergence electives.
