개발품의 품질을 평가하기 위해 무엇을 어떻게 시험할 것인가 적합한 모델을 정하는 것은 중요하다. 개발된 제품의 대부분의 패키지화된 소프트웨어는 소스코드를 공개하지 않으므로 외부적인 동작 특성을 측정하여 평가한다. 고속철도 선로변 정보처리 기기는 단일계로 구성되어 있던 것을 최근에 2중화하므로 신뢰성을 향상하도록 개발하였다. 철도에 사용되는 용품에 대하여 성능 및 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 철도안전법에서 공인시험기관에서 품질인증을 받을 수 있도록 하고 있어 우선 규정의 적용 가능성을 검토를 하였다. 아울러 정보처리모듈 일반 및 전용 그리고 절체기에 대하여 H/W 와 S/W의 검증을 위하여 필요한 절차와 성능을 확인하는 방안을 검토하고, TFM(Track-side Functional Module) Tester기와 Simulator를 활용하여 보드별 성능시험을 하는 방안에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다.

화상회의를 실행함에 있어서 중요한 회의 내용의 유출, 도용 등이 발생할 수 있기 때문에 보안성이 확보된 화상회의 시스템에 관한 연구가 계속되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 화상회의 시스템의 보안성에 대한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 현재 사용되고 있는 사용자 인증과 같은 일반적인 암호화 기법 이외에 화상정보의 변조와 유출, 도용 등을 방지하기 위하여 영상을 암호화 하는 기법에 대하여 연구하였다, 영상 정보를 암호화하기 위해서 개선된 Vernam의 암호화 기법을 이용하였으며, 보다 안전한 화상회의 시스템을 구축하기 위하여 영상 분할 기법을 이용하여 화상을 여러 개의 모듈로 분할한 후 각각의 모듈로 암호를 합성하는 방법을 제안하였다.

1990년대 후반 IMO 해양사고 조사실시 결과(A.21/884-9)에 따르면 해양사고 원인요소에 Human Elements가 크게 관련된다. 이런 관점에서 STCW Code A.에 의한 해기사의 요건에 따른 교육과정의 재점검과 함께 교과과정의 운영시스템에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 이를 위하여 USMMA, PMMA를 중심으로 한 해기 교육기관의 교육내용을 우리나라 해기사 교육기관과 비교 분석한다. 본 연구의 결과로 해양사고 감소 및 예방을 위한 개선된 해기사 교육 시스템을 제안한다.

There has been a recent upsurge in demand for the improvement of car reliability in the Northern American which is the primary market of South Korea automobile industry. It has been required that the warranty for transmission control unit for passenger cars directly related to passenger safety or security should be extended for 10 years and 160,000 km. In this paper, the test method for reliability and evaluation criteria is presented to evaluate the reliability on the automatic transmission controller. Reliability certification test can be roughly divided into two types: a quality test and life assessment test and a quality test can be subdivided into a basic performance test and environmental resistance test. There are 3 types of tests on the performance test for automatic transmission controller and environmental resistance test is composed of 14 items. Life test is performed with only the product passed this quality test. In this study, operation limit test at the high-temperatures, accelerated life test under specific temperature and accelerated life test for 2 or 3 stress levels are shown as a way for life test.

최근 인터넷을 통한 거래의 활성화로 인하여 소액지불시스템의 필요성이 더욱 커지고 있으며, 그에 따라 지불금액에 대한 보호뿐만 아니라 사용자의 정보보호에 대한 요구도 증대되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 소액지불시스템들은 익명성을 제공하지 못하거나 익명성으로 인한 지불처리 비용 증가라는 문제점을 가진다. 이 논문에서는 사용자의 익명성을 보장하고 동시에 지불금액을 보호하는 사용자 중심의 소액지불시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 익명서명 방법으로 사용자 정보를 암호화한 후 난수와의 조합으로 은닉 서명된 익명 아이디를 사용한다. 또한 인증서를 통한 상품과 지불금액 재확인 과정을 통해 사용자의 지불 금액을 보호하고, 공개키 대신 비밀키와 세션키를 사용하므로 효율성을 향상시킨다.

최근 클라우드 서비스는 서비스 규모가 확대됨에 따라 신규 취약성과 보안 관련 사건·사고에 대한 우려로 인한 불안감도 함께 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자 인증 이후 생성되는 보안세션의 다중 세션관리를 위한 인증 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법의 세션다중화는 서비스 제공자 내부의 가상화(하이퍼바이저) 수준에서 보안세션의 독립적 관리를 가능하게 한다. 성능분석결과 상호인증과 세션 다중화로 인한 강력한 안전성을 제공하고, 기존 상호인증 암호화 알고리즘을 비교하여 성능의 우수성을 입증하였다.

정보보호 제품의 신뢰성 보증에 대한 평가 기준은 통일을 가져왔지만 국가별 평가 방법 등의 객관성 확보는 모호한 부분이 있다. 즉, 정보보호 제품의 취약성 평가에는 평가의 범위, 깊이, 시험 등에 적용하는 도구와 시나리오, 그리고 평가자 등이 있으나 이러한 요소들에 따라 평가 결과가 달라질 수 있으므로 평가의 공정성, 객관성 확보에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 정보보호 제품 보안 취약성 평가의 공정성, 객관성, 그리고 효율성을 보증할 수 있는 정보보호 제품 보안 취약성 평가 방법을 제안하고, 평가 수행을 자동화 할 수 있는 시스템(TSVES)을 설계 구현하였다.

The primary objective of this research is to provide the basis of total quality management policies by reviewing previous studies which investigated effective ways to reduce product liability exposure. Specifically, the present study intends (1) to examine recent patterns and trends of product liability law in OECD countries, (2) to propose quality management policies for preventing product liability litigations, and (3) to guide the proper implementation process of ISO 9000 certification programs. The survey results show that the shift from a negligence law theory to strict liability is evident in most countries. The trend has led to make it easier for consumers to bring product liability lawsuits. Furthermore, the damage awards won by consumers have been drastically increasing. To minimize product liability exposure, manufactures should reflect comprehensive product safety concepts in establishing total quality management policies. Cooperative activities are also required between departments in companies to reach safe and satisfactory quality level. These quality management activities should be performed consistently during the total product life cycle. Failure to comply with the ISO 9000 certifications might be used as an evidence of negligence or as evidence of a design defect in court. Previous lawsuit cases, however, reveal that ISO 9001-9003 registration process alone is not sufficient in terms of product liability pervention perspectives. Therefore, manufactures should take into account ISO 9004 before implementing any other section of ISO 9000 standards.

Any organization's Six Sigma program may be at high risk without heeding the lessons learned from the past and that tries to operate without a robust business foundation. A foundation that preferably should consist of stepping-stones such as a 5-S house-keeping program, an effective Integrated Management System (IMS), which includes a strong focus on planning for quality to fully capture the Voice of the Customer (VOC), and an organization-wide training scheme, as well as a reliable Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) system. That's the best advise I can give to any organization that wishes to embark on a Six Sigma improvement program and hope to be successful. The paper will elaborate on the above issues and provide suggested solutions based on the review of published historical information and the experiences encountered over the last four decades by the author, as a quality practitioner and consultant, in industries that produced safety-critical product. This author maintains that few fundamentally new or useful things have been created in the field of Quality during the last couple of decades. Nevertheless, this paper deliberates on a number of relatively “newer” issues including the concept of “three types of customers”, the CTC, “Critical To Customer” term, the eight Quality Management Principles of the new ISO 9000 family, the growth of industry-specific standards, the adoption of Integrated Management Systems, the rebirth of AS2561 COQ standard, the spread of Six Sigma as well as related ASQ certification and the need for a robust business foundation to ensure Six Sigma survival.
