Automated Safety Planning of Scaffolding-Related Hazards in Building Information Modeling (BIM)

  • Scaffolds are frequently used in construction projects. Despite the impact on the entire safety, scaffolds are rarely analyzed as part of the safety planning. While recent advances in BIM (Building Information Modeling) provides opportunity to address potential safety issues in the early planning stages, it is still labor-intensive and challenging to incorporate scaffolds into current manual jobsite safety analysis which is time-consuming and error-prone. Consequently, potential safety hazards related to scaffolds are identified and presented during the construction phase. The objective of this research is to integrate scaffolds into automated safety analysis using BIM. A safety checking system was created to simulate the movements of scaffolds along the paths of crews using the scaffolds. Algorithms in the system automatically identify safety hazards related to activities working on scaffolds. Then, the system was implemented in a commercially available BIM software program for case studies. The results show that the algorithms successfully identified safety hazards that were not noticed by project managers of the projects. The results were visualized in BIM to facilitate early safety communications.

  • To prepare measures for practical policy utilization and the control of heavy metals, hazard control related institutions by country, present states of control by country, and present states of control by heavy metals were examined. Hazard control cases by heavy metals in various countries were compared and analyzed. In certain countries (e.g., the U.S., the U.K., and Japan), hazardous substances found in foods (e.g., arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury) are controlled. In addition, the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) recommends calculating the provisional tolerable weekly intake (PTWI) of individual heavy metals instead of the acceptable daily intake (ADI) to compare their pollution levels considering their toxicity accumulated in the human body. In Korea, exposure assessments have been conducted, and in other countries, hazardous substances are controlled by various governing bodies. As such, in Korea and other countries, diverse food heavy metal monitoring and human body exposure assessments are conducted, and reducing measures are prepared accordingly. To reduce the danger of hazardous substances, many countries provide leaflets and guidelines, develop hazardous heavy metal intake recommendations, and take necessary actions. Hazard control case analyses can assist in securing consumer safety by establishing systematic and reliable hazard control methods.

도로 침하에 따른 아스팔트 파손에 대한 연구 (A case study for the asphalt damage with the subsidence)

  • This example was able to focus on the long usage of the pavement that it was merely through the oxidation of the asphalt pavement which it could contact with on the road in the industrial housing complex and correlation regulation of the asphalt subsidence with the load in basic Infra of the configuration. The problem in conjunction with the subsidence (transformation) was interpreted as a problem of the subsidence of each pavement layer to lead the subsidence of the road or the transformation to packaging side asphalt pavement, but the traffic number of times of the heavy vehicle highlights for main problems with the road where is concentrated. In the case of general asphalt paving, it thinks it exposes light, and to study a general phenomenon for the asphalt transformation and a cause for a pavement construction method and the property of material used for pavement and a complement method by the case study at this time of the compound with the heavy vehicle traffic that it can become clear that small success transformation occurs at a point in time when 1-2 years more pass, and a fatigue rift occurs by ultraviolet rays, the oxidation with the contact with the air afterwards, and described beginning to use by the above.

건설 위험 식별을 위한 정보 검색 (Information Retrieval in Construction Hazard Identification)

  • 유사 재해의 반복적 발생은 건설재해의 가장 큰 특징 중 하나이다. 안전사고 예방을 위한 유사 재해사례는 수행 예정인 작업의 위험을 발견하고 안전 대책을 수립하는데 직접적인 정보를 제공한다. 과거 재해 사례들을 검색하여 안전관리 분야에 사용하기 위해 많은 검색시스템들이 개발되었다. 하지만 현장의 다양한 조건과 반영한 결과를 얻기 위해서는 수많은 검색을 수행하거나, 실제 현장의 안전관리 계획 수립 단계별 특성을 반영하지 못하는 단점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 안전관리 검색시스템들의 한계점을 개선하기 위해 정보 검색 방법과 BIM(building information modeling)을 이용한 안전관리 단계별 적용이 가능하며 현장의 상황과 유사한 재해사례를 검색하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 검색 시스템은 BIM의 객체를 추출하여 이를 현장 정보 DB와 결합하여 질의를 구성한다. 그리고 질의를 과거 재해사례 DB와 비교하여 가장 유사한 과거 재해 사례를 찾고, 안전 관리자에게 정보를 제공한다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 안전 관리자는 검색 결과를 얻기 위한 과도한 질의 생성을 줄일 수 있다. 또한 BIM 객체를 통해 과거 유사한 재해가 발생한 현장의 좌표를 얻을 수 있어 위험을 쉽게 인지할 수 있을 것이다.

재난피해지역 내 지역사회기반 공동체 회복 프로그램 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Local-Based Community Recovery Program in Disaster Affected Areas)

  • The two major trends that have emerged in recent years in relation to disaster recovery and recovery are 'regional infrastructure', 'regional leadership' and 'community recovery'. In the former case, it is to avoid disaster recovery and recovery by using external personnel and resources, and to maximize the resources in the area under the initiative of the residents of the affected area. And through this process, it is to prepare a new growth engine for disaster-affected areas. In addition, the latter expands disaster recovery targets to the general population living in affected areas and is not limited to victims. Through this, we can expect to recover the 'community' beyond the individual's recovery. In the Ansan of Gyeonggi-do, where many families of 'Sewolho' live, and in the Heunghae-eup of Pohang, Gyeongbuk-do, where the damage was severe, projects are underway to restore communities. And In these areas local activists and civic groups are actively utilized to efforts are being made to increase efficiency. Nevertheless, in the case of the community recovery program being promoted in Korea, there are limitations that it can be promoted only on the basis of special laws and that participation of various actors is necessary. This study intends to propose the limitations of current projects and ways to solve them by analyzing domestic and foreign cases related to the community recovery program for disaster-affected communities using local resources. we suggest two way. One is the relaxation of the national dependence of the community recovery program, and the other is to expand the area of disaster relief through.

DO-178C 기반 체크리스트를 활용한 무인동력비행장치 소프트웨어 인증 방안 (LUAV Software Certification Method using Checklists based on DO-178C)

  • 보잉 737 맥스 사고사례에서 볼 수 있듯이 항공기 소프트웨어는 비중이 급속도로 증가하고 있으나 안전문제에서 취약한 것이 드러났다. 국내의 경우, 자체중량 150kg 이하 무인동력비행장치를 운용하려면 초경량비행장치 안전성인증이 요구되지만, 소프트웨어 인증 절차는 포함되지 않는다. 다만, 최근 무인동력비행장치의 활용이 증대됨에 따라 소프트웨어 검증이 요구되는 추세이다. 본 논문은 항공 소프트웨어 인증 규격인 DO-178C를 참조하여 무인동력비행장치에 적용할 수 있는 무인동력비행장치 소프트웨어 체크리스트를 제안하였다. 국내외 선진기업 및 기관에서 활용 중인 모델기반개발(Model-based Development) 기반의 헬리콥터 비행 제어 컴퓨터(FCC) 프로젝트에 제안된 체크리스트를 적용하는 사례연구를 수행하였다.

교통안전교육 전 . 후의 지식, 태도 및 실천에 관한 비교 연구 -초등학교 4학년 학생을 대상으로- (A Comparative Study of knowledge, attitude, and practice by Before-after trafffic safety education : focusing on the 4th grade student in elementary school)

  • Increase of automobiles become today's environmental problem decreasing space for our children's playground. The traffic situation around us shows automobiles over filled the public roads and started to intrude even on the side walks. Children's traffic safety education for the awareness of the danger from traffic mishaps, and for the behavior to cope with preventives measure by continual learning programs in systematized method is very important need in current health education. For this research, the subject was represented by 243 students from 4th grade in D Elementary School located at Daechi-dong, Seoul. During total of 5 weeks (September 4, 1997 to September 30, 1997), lessons were taught to the subject. Lessons consist of traffic safety education and customized education program that were designed and developed specificially for the subject level. In this research, Case group of 3 classes and control group of 3classes were predetermined before subject's degree of knowledge, attitude, and practice was analized. The difference before and after the training of this education was observed to verify the effectively and to find the influential factors of this education program. On September 2-3, survey study was performed after the training. the results of this study were as follows: 1. The knowledge analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored(8.36, 8.86) before the traning, but scored(10.36, 8.52) after the traning. the difference from the result of the case group is statistically significant(p〈0.001). 2. The attitude analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored(48.23, 49.87) before the training, but scored (51.05, 48.45) after the traning. the difference from the result of the case group is statistically significant(p〈0.001) 3. The practice analysis from the comparison between before and after of the training shows case group and control group scored (27.42, 28.08) before the training, but scored(30.49, 28.25) after the training. The differece from the result of the case group is statistically significant (p〈0.001). 4. The correlation analysis of traffic safety education's influence on traffic safety knowledge, attitude, and practice before training shows the relationship between attitude and practice was satistically significant(p〈0.05). The result after the training shows the relationship between knowledge and attitude, attitude and practice, and knowledge and practice was all statistically significant(p〈0.001).

수치해석을 이용한 기존 피해 보강토 옹벽의 보강에 관한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Reinforcement of Existing Damaged Geogrid Reinforced Soil Wall Using Numerical Analyses)

  • 보강토 옹벽이 붕괴되는 사례가 종종 발생되면서, 붕괴된 옹벽의 보강 및 복구에 대한 사회적인 관심은 날로 커지고 있으나 이에 대한 연구는 미미한 경향이 있다. 이와 같은 배경 아래, 본 연구에서는 Plaxis 2D프로그램을 이용한 일련의 수치해석을 수행하여 설계부실로 전면블록의 전도와 배면 침하 피해가 발생된 기존 보강토 옹벽을 복구할 수 있는 방안에 대한 사례연구를 수행하였다. 복구방안으로는 기존 피해 보강토 옹벽에 쏘일네일링과 보강콘크리트(RC) 전면벽체를 보강하는 방안(Case 1)과 기존 피해 보강토 옹벽을 제거하고 재시공하는 방안(Case 2)으로 검토하였다. 보강토 옹벽의 내적안정검토결과는 파단에 대해서는 Case 1이 Case 2보다 크고 인발에 대해서는 Case 2가 Case 1보다 안전율이 크게 나타났다. 수치해석에 의한 외적거동과 전단강도감소법에 의한 전체사면안정 안전율은 Case 1이 Case 2보다 안정적으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 보다 안정적인 외적거동을 나타내는 Case 1로 기존 피해 보강토 옹벽을 보강하도록 하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to provide improved methodology based on the IPA method. One case studies are solved by the proposed method. this study present the method that give value to use SN(Signal-to-Noise) ratio in IPA. A case study of lecture satisfaction are solved by the proposed method and the existing method. Also, the result is compared with the existing method using Mean and the proposed method using SN ratio.
