자기회로의 비선형성을 고려한 SRM의 운전 특성 해석 (A Operation Characteristic Analysis of SRM with Nonlinear Magnetic Circuit Effect)

  • This Paper analysis variable characteristics of inductance profiles and basic magnetic fields for Switched Reluctance Motors(SRM). The varying Inductance and flux linkage on operating control condition are very important for developing control algorithm and SRM accurate drive system. Therefore, we have analytical model for varying inductance and flux linkage with simulation and experimental method, and to find an analytical expression for the SRM coenergy. There are shown some good results that comparison of simulated and analytical inductance, flux linkage and current waves.

  • Bearingless switched reluctance motors (SRM) have combined advantages of conventional SRM and magnetic bearings. Therefore in this paper based on novel structure of Bearingless SRM, an accurate mathematic model of radial force is deduced. Meanwhile in order to realize steady suspending, a novel radial force control method- Direct Instantaneous Radial Force Control (DIRFC) is presented. The effectiveness of new model and DIRFC is proved by the simulation results.

  • This paper presents a design and characteristic analysis of an SRM drive for EPS(Electrically Power Steering) application. A rack mounted EPS system is considered in this paper. A conventional driving room space and mechanical structure are considered in a design stage. In the restricted design conditions, motor parameters are determined for sufficient torque and speed. For the smooth torque generation and simple circuit of power system, 12/8 motor drive is considered. With FEM and magnetic circuit analysis, designed motor is simulated to meet the requirement of specifications. Effectiveness of the suggested SRM drive for EPS application is studied by the drive tests of a prototype motor.

  • The application of SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) is dramatically increasing due to a simple mechanical structure, high efficiency and a good high speed characteristics. Generally, turn-off angle of power switch must be limited the demagnetization period. To control high conduction ratio in motor operation and regenerative voltage in the generator operation in the SRM, multi-level voltage control is effective. This paper proposes multi-level inverter to have a maximum conduction ratio of SRM. The proposed method is verified by experiment.

  • 본 논문은 3상 6/8극 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 설계 및 특성해석에 대해 다루었다. 고정자와 회전자 극호각의 설계 범위를 해석하고 최적값을 해석하였다. 최적의 값은 선형, 비선형으로 나누어 전통적인 설계접근 방식과 설계용 CAD를 이용하여 해석하였으며 실제 전동기를 제작하여 설계결과를 확인하였다. 이 전동기는 동일한 8/6 SRM에 비해 구동회로가 단순해지며, 권선의 전류밀도와 동손이 감소하여 효율이 상승하는 장점이 있다.

  • SRM has been applied to many commercial applications that require economical advantages and high performance abilities. But it has some drawbacks such as acoustic noise due to the abrupt change of mmf level when commutation. The abrupt change of a phase excitation produces mechanical stresses and it results in torque ripple and noise. This paper deals with an analysis of vibration and noise in SRM drive. Several types of excitation method are taken into account. The 1-phase and 2-phase excitation technique of short-pitch winding 2-phase excitation technique of full-pitch winding are tested. The acoustic noise is reduced remarkably through the sequential phase excitation in the 2-phase excitation. It is because that the scheme reduces abrupt change of excitation level by distributed balanced excitation with free-wheeling during commutation.

  • Switched reluctance motor(SRM) has some advantages such as low cost, high torque density but SRM has essentially high torque ripple due to its salient structure. In order to apply SRM to industrial field, torque ripple has to be reduced. This paper introduces optimal design process of SRM using an optimization algorithm of Progressive Quadratic Response Surface Modeling(PQRSM) and two-dimensional(2D) Finite Element Method(FEM). The electrical and geometrical design parameters have been adopted as 2D design variables. From this work, it can be obtained both the optimal design minimized torque ripple and the optima1 design maximized the average torque, respectively. Finally, this Paper Presents Performance comparison of two optimal designs and consider influence of the selected design variables in torque characteristics.

  • Switched relutance motor(SRM) has the advantages of simple structure, low rotor intertia, and high power rate per unit volume. However, SRM has the disadvantages of high current harmonics, and low power factor because of the discontinuous excitation of pulse type. The harmonics brings about the distortion and loss of power system, and brings about the incorrect opertion of electronic system. This paper investigates the SRM drive system with the reduced harmonics and improved power factor. The system consists of the switching power converter with poewr factor correction(SPC-PFC), DC/DC converter and 3-phase inverter. The performances in the proposed system are verified through the simpuation and experiment.

  • The single phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) is more simpler and robust in the structure than poly phase SRM. It has the merits that it reduces the switching elements and the energy density per volume is very high. Recently, it has been researched and developed in various types and starting method due to the technique of power electronics and the computer added design. This paper presents a analytical representation of the phase inductance of a single phase SRM, as function of position and current, taking into account the non-linearity of the magnetic circuit. the method is based on Fourier series expansion. Analytical expressions for the calculation of instantaneous phase inductance, flux linkage, coenergy and electromagnetic torque as a function of rotor position and winding currents are derived.

  • In this paper, a novel method of sensorless control scheme is proposed to apply on a single phase hybrid SRM used in high speed operation. The proposed method utilizes beneficially permanent magnet field whose performance is motor parameter independent to estimate the rotor position. Also, the current slope is adopted to complete the sensorless control when the motor running with heavy torque at high speed condition. Through this approach, the adjustable turn on/off position can be achieved without prior knowledge of inductance profile which is always employed by many sensorless schemes. And this paper may offer an available method to do the sensorless control in hybrid SRM used for high speed running.
