The purpose of this study was to identify the incidence of neutropenia in patients with breast cancer who received chemotherapy and to identify the differences in incidence according to influential factors. We analyzed the medical records of 353 breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy at university hospital in Seoul, Korea from January 2010 to March 2016. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, $X^2-test$, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 20.0. Among the 353 subjects, 33.1% had neutropenia, and the factors that showed significant difference according to neutropenia were exercise performance, RT status, and regimen. The results of this study suggest that it is important to predict the prevalence of neutropenia in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and to provide appropriate education and nursing intervention.
The purpose of this study was to identify the significant predictors of drinking problem among college students attending health and welfare department. A total of 538 college students attending health and welfare department were selected through convenient sampling. Data were collected using self-reporting questionnaires, which were constructed to include depression, anxiety, abstinence self-efficacy, and drinking behavior. SPSS 18.0 was used for data analysis and descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson Correlation coefficients, and multiple regression were done. Drinking problem was positively correlated to the depression and anger while negatively correlated to the abstinence self-efficacy. The significant predictors of drinking behavior were sex, grade, anxiety, and abstinence self-efficacy. The result of this study suggest that drinking problem prevention program should consider improving self management skills by effective management of negative emotions along with enhancing self-efficacy as a cognitive strategy.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of attachment injury and stsit-trait anxiety on marital adjustment of battered women. The participants were total 220 battered women who have experiences with violence from their spouse. Data were collected from March 20 to May 6 in 2014 from five shelters for battered women, seven counseling centers, and three shelters run by various religion. SPSS 18.0 was used for data analysis and descriptive statistics, ANOVA test, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression were done. As study results, attachment injury, state and trait anxiety showed significant negative correlation. Marriage status, number of children, duration of violence, attachment injury, state anxiety, and trait anxiety were the significant variables to explain marital adjustment. The explanation power was 60.0%. This study results will be use to develop intervention program for enhancement of marital adjustment whereas to decrease attachment injury and state-trait anxiety.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of optimism, academic resilience, and major satisfaction of nursing students, and identify influencing factors of major satisfaction. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive correlational design. A convenience sample of 286 nursing students was conducted from a university in Busan. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierachical multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS version 23.0. The average score of optimism, academic resilience and major satisfaction in nursing students were 3.85±0.54, 3.87±0.52 and 3.75±0.63 respectively. The degree of major satisfaction was positively correlated with optimism and academic resilience. The significant predictors of major satisfaction were optimism(β=.385, p<.001) and academic resilience(β=.356, p<.001), explaining 49.2% of the independent variables. Accordingly, in order to increase the major satisfaction level of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a program that can improve optimism and academic resilience, and apply it in the nursing curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of alcohol use, depression, and self-esteem on suicidal ideation of older adults. Community-dwelling older adults aged 65 years and older were recruited from three welfare centers. A total of 245 older adults was assessed with the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test-Korean (AUDIT-K), Geriatric Depression Scale Short Form-Korea Version (GDSSF-K), Self-Esteem Scale (SES), and Scale for Suicidal Ideation (SSI). Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS WIN 19.0 program. Higher depression, lower self-esteem, no religion, and poorly perceived health were statistically significant determinants of higher level of suicidal ideation in older adults. To prevent or reduce suicidal ideation of older adults, health care providers should consider the determinants identified in this study.

The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analyses, and analysis of multiple regression using SPSS 21.0. In the procedure of data analyses, while the total scores were used for resilience and burnout, each score of the sub-factors (natural acting, deep acting, and pretending acting) were used for emotional labor. As results, childcare teachers' natural acting, deep acting, and resilience had significantly negative correlations with burnout, but pretending acting had significantly positive correlations with it. The present study identified the factors of economic retirement preparation for people living with disabilities using the Andersen's behavioral model. The 2012 Disabled Employment Panel Survey data were collected from May 21, 2012 to July 31, 2012 and were analyzed by applying the SPSS 20 program. Logistic regression analysis was carried out on a sample of 2,869 people aged 30 to 60 years. The predisposing factors (education, marital status), possibility factors (employment, non-basic livelihood security recipient status, homeowner status, income), and desire factors (subjective socioeconomic status, life satisfaction, self-esteem) affected the retirement preparation. To help people living with disabilities, policies and programs based on the factors that reflect the individual needs must be established.
