Influence of the Word-of-Mouth Effect through SNS on the Movie Performance -Focused on the Case of <Sunny>- (SNS를 통한 구전 효과가 영화 흥행에 미치는 영향 -<써니>의 사례를 중심으로-)

  • In the past, the elements that determine the movie performance were directors, movie stars, the number of opening screens, on-line ratings or distributing agencies. However, the word-of-mouth effect has changed this trends. So the influence of word of mouth grows more and more strong at this stage of the Internet and smart phones being widely prevalent. I fix my sight upon SNS which is one of the medium of arousing the word-of-mouth effect, and I have a purpose to cast light upon a real example of the influence of SNS on the movie performance. The way is to analyze SNS activities that accompany the process of production and showing of , which is said to have had an beneficial effect of SNS among the enormously successful movies last year. It is relevant to provide a new milestone regarding the movie performance through the successful case of SNS activities by examining the word-of-mouth activities through SNS in the manner of the period division of the pre-release, the early stage of release and the maturity.

  • In this paper, we had tried to study advertising method of local industry in cooperation with SNS (Social Network Service). In particular, This paper analyzes the Facebook Page trying to find a way to take advantage of the local advertising. To analyse the Facebook page, I had created three Facebook pages such as at Hongik UNIV., Gangwon National UNIV., and specialities in Cuncheon cities. While I was managing the three pages, I had analyzed the results of quantities of activities, and in addition, had used NodeXL for the analysis of the network for the each page. After the analysis of the data of each page, I had found the possibility of the promotion for the successful the local advertizement associated with SNS. To verify and develop the results of my study, I had designed the " real time local advertising APP which is connected with SNS like Facebook, had created server program based on PHP, Android APP. In the future, I have found that there must be a lot of possibilities for the successful and various the local advertising methodologies by using SNS like Facebook, the operational data of the App.

The Study of Factors to Affect on Users' Self-disclosure in Social Networking Services (SNS에서 사용자의 정보공개에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구)

  • As the number of SNS users increases, so does their self-disclosure. This study examined the factors affecting self-disclosure based on Social Capital Theory and Regulatory Focus Theory. The (extent of self-disclosure by users/number of users disclosing themselves) in SNSs is expected to differ depending on their social capital (bonding capital vs. bridging capital) and regulatory focus (promotional vs. defensive). As a result of this study, it is found that bridging capital is positively related to self-disclosure in profile and in conversation, while bonding capital is positively related to self-disclosure only in conversation. With regard to regulatory focus, promotional orientation has a significant effect on self-disclosure in profile and in conversation, while defensive orientation is negatively related to self-disclosure in profile, but not related to self-disclosure in conversation. Promotional orientation is found to moderate the effect of bridging capital on self-disclosure.

  • Affiliate marketing is classified as a type of online advertising, where merchants share a percentage of sales revenue generated by each customer, who visited the company's website via a content provider. Content provider, referred to as an affiliate, usually places an online advertisement at its website. For the past few years, there have been a lot of companies or individuals who participate in affiliate marketing. Generally speaking, most of them have websites and post the merchant's ads on their own websites. However, building and maintaining websites have some technology requirements. The widespread use of Social Network Service (SNS), especially microblog-based SNS such as Twitter and Sina Weibo, provides opportunities for individuals who want to be content providers of affiliate marketing. Since information spreads quickly on microblog-based SNS and the easy in targeting customers, it is both an effective and an efficient tool to do affiliate marketing. The relationship between a content provider and the potential customer, which is referred as "tie strength", is quite an important issue in such situation. This paper proved that service characteristics of the microblog-based SNS (security, community drivenness and navigability) and content quality all had positive influence on click-through intention, while tie strength played a moderating role. For the group with strong tie, tie strength is crucial in influencing click-through intention. While for the weak tie group, content quality was very important. Finally, we proposed some implications for both academics and practitioners.

  • Online reputation systems for social network services(SNS) aggregate users' feedback and estimate the reputation of contents or providers. The aim of this research is to enhance credibility of the online reputation system on the SNS based e-Commerce(we called it as social commerce). SNS users usually refer to evaluations from other users who bought the products before. Most social commerce sites provide reputation system to help their customer make a decision, but sometimes we can't believe the reputation because the reputation is too subjective and the seller can deceive the customer for sales promotion. Threrefore, we usually use just the average value to show the general customer's evaluation result. We applied collaborative filtering method to give more weighting to the users who have evaluated correctly in the past. As a result, we could get more accurate evaluation results by considering each customers' credibility value that was computed by collaborative filtering.

  • As an application of big data and artificial intelligence techniques, this study proposes an atypical language-based sentimental opinion poll methodology, unlike conventional opinion poll methodology. An alternative method for the sentimental classification model based on existing statistical analysis was to collect real-time Twitter data related to parliamentary elections and perform empirical analyses on the Polarity and Intensity of public opinion using attribute-based sensitivity analysis. In order to classify the polarity of words used on individual SNS, the polarity of the new Twitter data was estimated using the learned Lasso and Ridge regression models while extracting independent variables that greatly affect the polarity variables. A social network analysis of the relationships of people with friends on SNS suggested a way to identify peer group sensitivity. Based on what voters expressed on social media, political opinion sensitivity analysis was used to predict party approval rating and measure the accuracy of the predictive model polarity analysis, confirming the applicability of the sensitivity analysis methodology in the political field.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide statistical analysis based suggestions on effective methods to take advantage of social network service (SNS) for educational purposes based on investigations of undergraduate students with high utilization of SNS. To achieve this, we conducted an open questionnaire survey and qualitatively analyzed the data using NVivo 10 program. Additionally, to visualize the analysis by education subject of the SNS educational methods, we have divided the data into 3 categories of teacher, student and common area. As a result, our analysis showed that the exchange opinions and discussions, information sharing and learning of contents of questions and answers, surveys, intimacy formation, counseling etc. were of the common area. Furthermore, teacher area included the notice announcement, teaching materials sharing, real-time assessment (quiz), attendance check, assignment grading and feedback, etc. Finally the student area was of project activities (group/individual), prepare and review the shared data, video self learning, peer review and feedback of projects, lecture evaluation, etc.

  • 최근 FTA 체결은 국내의 농식품 소비자들을 값싼 외국산 농식품으로 소비 패턴을 변화시킬 수 있다. 또한 유통시장의 변화 즉, 소비자-생산자 간의 직거래 형태는 개인이 프로슈머로서 농식품 관련 컨텐츠의 제작과 생산이 더욱 활발해지도록 하며 소비자들이 구매의사 결정에 중요하게 작용하고 있다. 따라서 농식품의 효과적인 마케팅 전략읠 수립 및 실행을 위하여 소비자가 무엇을 원하고 인식하지 못한 욕구가 있는지 소비자 유형을 분석 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 농식품 소비자 구매의도를 통한 제품이나 서비스의 이용의도로서 종속변수로 설정하여 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 또한 연구 모형을 위해 교류빈도, 친밀감, 호혜성, 감정의 강도라는 SNS 특성을 도출하여 분석하였다.

The Factors Motivating Empathic Responses of Women in their 30s and 40s: Focusing on Kakao Story (SNS에서 30/40대 여성들의 공감 표현에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 - 카카오스토리 중심으로)

  • Recently, many people switch from an open SNS like facebook to a closed SNS like Kakaostory to expect more empathetic responses. In this study, I derive the design factors that motivate empathetic responses in SNS. In particular, I focus on Kakaostory that is popular for women in their 30s and 40s. I conduct literature review and survey and find out the design factors and identified the type of photos that induce comments and feeling icons. While writing comments is influenced by the relationship with the poster and the contents, adding a feeling icons is affected by the states of the responders. The heavy users are more affected by the contents than by relationship. The photos with more responses have better image quality and capture situation better. The photos with more comments are cuter, brighter, and more positive. The photos with feeling icons only are visually sophisticated. This results can be useful to develop a design that induce empathetic responses.

  • In the past, the existing Internet service was used to simply gather information and show, with the development of Web 2.0 where everyone is allowed to access and share information. Since the development of the concept and the technology of the Web 2.0, the users of Social Network Service (SNS) such as Facebook, MySpace, Youtube, Twitter, etc., have been increasing. In this study, we researched into the Social Capital formed by using SNS based on "Social Capital Theory." We constructed the survey to obtain the demographical information of the users, motive of using the SNS and the evaluation of the On-line Social Capital. The survey was aimed for the Korean and the Chinese. In addition, a multi-regression analysis was performed to explain the relationship between the function of Social Network Service and the Online Social Capital. The result of this study, presents a relationship between the Online Social Capital form and function of Social Network Service users. Therefore, the information obtained in this study can be applied when developing the service.
