LTE based High-speed Maritime Wireless Communication(LTE-M) Router System (LTE 기반 초고속 해상무선통신(LTE-M) 라우터 시스템)

  • Various countries around the world are conducting various studies to apply information and communication technology to marine safety. Based on this, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has established the e-Navigation standard to apply the latest information and communication technology to marine services. In Korea, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is promoting Korean e-navigation considering domestic marine environment and is trying to apply LTE communication method as a high-speed wireless communication method at sea. In this paper, we describe the development of an LTE based marine router system supporting 700Mhz frequency band allocated for high speed maritime wireless communication service. Experiments on the possibility of 100km distance communication from base station using LTE based ship router are shown. LTE - based high - speed maritime wireless communication router system can provide communication infrastructure necessary to develop various accident prevention technologies that may occur at sea.

  • In HMIPv6, the nested mobile network because of the mobility of node and router can be constituted. Many subnets exist and many mobile router(MR)s and mobile node(MN)s activate in the nested mobile network. If the nested depth is deeper, the number of mobile router that packet goes through, increases and data transmission delay owing to this might be larger. This paper proposes EPA algorithm which finds out the path from Mobility Anchor Point(MAP) to a destination mobile node using the binding cache information of MAP and processes the path information by adding it to packet header. If we apply EAP algorithm, the quantity of unnecessary packet within MAP domain can be decreased. Also, the transmission delay can be decreased in a intermediate mobile router because it supports packet re-transmission just by simple packet substitution.

  • This paper proposes an improvement of a QoS based routing protocol. The hierarchical source routing algorithm[4] was improved by including of the Crank-Back algorithm[2]. The Crank-Back capability is the ability to solve the problem of selecting the wrong route because of using unsynchronized routing information in the ingress router. In order to reduce time of reversing the call-setup process back to the ingress router, spare-route information is included with a call-setup packet. Spare-route information could be used by every router to find the next appropriated link itself when insufficient resource of the selected link was found. The proposed algorithm improves the performance of the source routing call-setup process significantly.

  • A passband-flattening technique based on Fourier optics concept for phased-array wavelength router is presented. For easy control of optical power in each waveguide without phase correction, misaligned array waveguides are used. BPM simulation results indicate that flat passband is as wide as 75 % of the channel spacing with the insertion loss penalty of about 6 dB and with the crosstalk of about -28 dB.

  • NoC 기반 시스템이 적용되는 설계는 시스템 크기가 커짐에 따라 칩 테스트 문제도 동시에 제기 되고 있다. 이에 따라 NoC 기반의 시스템의 테스트 시간을 줄일 수 있는 internal test 방식의 새로운 BIST(Built-in Self-Test) 구조에 관한 연구를 하였다. 기존의 NoC 기반 시스템의 BIST 테스트 구조는 각각의 router와 core에 BIST logic과 random pattern generator로 LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register)을 사용하여 연결하는 individual 방식과 하나의 BIST logic과 LFSR을 사용하여 각각의 router와 core에 병렬로 연결하는 distributed 방식을 사용한다. 이때, LFSR에서 생성된 테스트 벡터가 router에 사용되는 FIFO 메모리를 통과하면서 생기는 테스트 타임 증가를 줄이기 위하여 shift register 형태의 FIFO 메모리를 변경하였다 제안된 방법에서 테스트 커버리지 98%이상을 달성하였고, area overhead면에서 효과를 볼 수 있다.

  • The technology of the internet has made advanced progress the number of users increase rapidly. but, the technology doesn't only show users good and beautiful sides. the immoral hackers containing even children create computer viruses, and then spread them over network. so it makes the threat of viruses more serious. In this paper, we designed an improved blocking system against the infected file with viruses on router after analysing blocking systems against virus previously developed. comparising with other systems, the system designed is more efficient in terms of communication in complexity since it omits the transmission time between router and blocking system.

  • Distributed denial of service attack detection for more development and research is underway. The method of using statistical techniques, the normal packets and abnormal packets to identify efficient. In this paper several statistical techniques, using a mix of various offers a way to detect the attack. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique, it set packet filtering on router and the proposed DDoS attacks detection method on a Linux router. In result, the proposed technique was detect various attacks and provide normal service mostly.

  • NEMO (Network Mobility) introduces the concept of mobile router in order to supply users with group mobility over wireless and mobile networks. This paper investigates the advantages and disadvantages of NEMO in terms of the overhead of group mobility management. This paper proposes the additional requirements to enhance NEMO performance. Moreover, we analyze the main communication paths, CN-HA, HA-MR, and MR-MNN, in the real NEMO testbed.

  • As the number of IP cores has been increasing in a System-on-Chip (SoC), multiple routers are included in on-chip-networks. Each router has its own arbitration policy and it is difficult to obtain a desired arbitration result by combining multiple routers. Allocating desired bandwidths to the ports across the routers is more difficult. In this paper, a guaranteed bandwidth allocation scheme using an IP-level QoS control is proposed to overcome the limitations of existing local arbitration policies. Each IP can control the priority of a packet depending on the data communication requirement within the allocated bandwidth. The experimental results show that the proposed mechanism guarantees for IPs to utilize the allocated bandwidth in multiple router on-chip-networks. The maximum error rate of bandwidth allocation of the proposed scheme is only 1.9%.
