The objective of this study was to evaluate structural safety according to environmental conditions acting on the piping of offshore structure and the motion of the structure. As for conditions acting on the piping, the maximum and minimum temperature conditions were used to analyze the design conditions of N2 generator. The motion of the structure was calculated and applied according to the DNV(Det Norske Veritas) rule. Each condition was combined and a total of 26 load combinations were constructed according to thermal load, motion load, and presence or absence of pipe support. Analysis was performed using a commercial program MSC Patran/Nastran. Thermal analysis was performed by applying the steady-state method, Sol 153. Thermal-structural coupled analysis was performed using Sol 101, a linear-static method. As a result of the analysis, the stress tended to increase when temperature inside the pipe was lower in Set 1 and Set 2, when temperature was higher in Set 3, and when the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the pipe in Set 4 was increased. However, the sum of stresses in the condition with only temperature load and the condition with only the kinetic load did not show the same value as the stress in the composite load condition of two loads. That is, the influence of the motion load varied depending on the direction of motion, the arrangement of pipes, and the position of the support. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the size and direction of the motion load acting on the piping, the arrangement of the piping, and the location of the pipe supports during the design of piping.
The new chemicals are developed and circulated without the verified toxicity data. So, the accidents and occupational diseases, such as explosion, fire, suffocation about deadly poisons etc. are frequently to workers. Classifications of chemicals suited with guideline and an offer of correct chemical information data are the molt important thing for the establishment of suitable chemical management system. The GHS (Globally Harmonized System of classification and labeling of chemicals) is based with the chemical classifications and unification plan. The warning symbol and phrases are established for improvements of chemical information data system. According to these unified and improved systematic form of data, and the chemical information data, the workplaces will be presented many chemical safety and risk data correctly. In this paper, we will present constructions and accomplishment contents-based chemical management of workplace through development of chemical information data and the nice using for new chemical investigation and risk assessment of chemicals in workplaces.
Objective: The increasing use of imaging examinations such as computed tomography (CT) results in increased contrast media use, which increases contrast media-induced adverse reactions (AR). This study investigated the risk factors of ARs to nonionic iodinated contrast media. Methods: This study evaluated patients who were administered iodinated contrast media during CT scanning in Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital in Seoul, Korea in 2012. Among the subjects, those with contrast media-induced ARs were classified as the AR group. The control group included individuals without ARs who were selected through simple random sampling. The effects of sex, age, contrast media type and dose, CT region, previous contrast media administration, allergy history, and comorbidity were analyzed in the AR and control groups. Results: Multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the identified AR risk factors in 103 subjects in the AR group and 412 subjects in the control group. The results confirmed that the risk of developing ARs was significantly higher in females [odds ratio (OR): 2.206; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.353-3.598], in individuals administered Iohexol (OR: 9.981; 95% CI: 2.361-42.193), in individuals with an allergy history (OR: 3.982; 95% CI: 1.742-9.101), and in individuals with comorbid asthma (OR: 6.619; 95% CI: 1.377-31.826). Most of the ARs were mild and immediate. Conclusion: In patients who were administered contrast media during CT scans, female gender, Iohexol use, allergy history, and asthma were risk factors for ARs. Therefore, special care is required for patients with such risk factors to prevent ARs.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between a experience of falling, fear of falling, depression, and perceived health status in urban areas. Methods: After obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, a one-time, face-to-face, and private interview was conducted with each participant who was eligible and agreed to participate in this study from May 2007 to August 2007 by trained graduate-level nursing students. The questionnaires consisted of Fall Efficacy Scale, K-GDS, and SF-36. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS/PC 12.0 program, which was used for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and hierarchical regression. Results: The major findings of this study were as follows; 1) approximately 9% of participants had fallen within one year. Study participants reported moderate fear of falling(M=43.80); moderate physical health (M=42.31) and mental health(M=46.05); and low depression status(M=10.38). 2) there were significant differences in fear of falling according to gender, experience of falling, exercise, and depression. 3) significant factors influencing on fear of falling were experience of falling and physical health status. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that nurses working closely with older adults should be taught the impact of previous falls and physical health status on fear of falling and need to reinforce exercise behavior for older adults who are vulnerable to fear of falling.

This research aims to compare immobilized catalysts prepared by various methods and determine suitable $TiO_2$ catalyst for water purification. Sol-gel method by Anderson and powder coation method by Tanaka ate famous in the methods to immobilize catalyst. Therefore, the $TiO_2$ catalyst for this research was prepared by sol-gel method and powder coating method. Its structure was tested by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Scanning electron microseope (SEM). Durability of a catalyst-support couple in an solution was investigated. too. Experimental results were summarized as following; i) Optimum ratio of Ti : $H_2O$ : $H^+$ to obtain stable sol was 1 : 10 : 0.1 and the XRD patterns of $TiO_2$ film immobilized by sol-gel method which were fired at $700^{\circ}C$ showed that the catalyst had an anatase structure. ii) The particle size of $TiO_2$ prepared by sol-gel method was less than $5{\mu}$, but it was observed that coated side was not unifiom. iii) Sol-gel method was very effective to obtain $TiO_2$ catalyst of thin film, but spreadability and durability of a catalyst-support couple in a solution were than $TiO_2$ film immobilized by powder coating method. iv) The particle size of $TiO_2$ immobilized by powder coating method was a little larger than it prepared by sol-gel method, but spreadability and uniformity of $TiO_2$ film and durability of a catalyst-support couple in a solution were better than it immobilized by sol-gel method.

The development of a yeast strain capable of fermenting mixed sugars efficiently is crucial for producing biofuels and value-added materials from cellulosic biomass. Previously, a mutant Pichia stipitis YN14 strain capable of co-fermenting xylose and cellobiose was developed through evolutionary engineering of the wild-type P. stipitis CBS6054 strain, which was incapable of co-fermenting xylose and cellobiose. In this study, through genomic and transcriptomic analyses, we sought to investigate the reasons for the improved sugar metabolic performance of the mutant YN14 strain in comparison with the parental CBS6054 strain. Unfortunately, comparative whole-genome sequencing (WGS) showed no mutation in any of the genes involved in the cellobiose metabolism between the two strains. However, comparative RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) revealed that the YN14 strain had 101.2 times and 5.9 times higher expression levels of HXT2.3 and BGL2 genes involved in cellobiose metabolism, and 6.9 times and 75.9 times lower expression levels of COX17 and SOD2.2 genes involved in respiration, respectively, compared with the CBS6054 strain. This may explain how the YN14 strain enhanced cellobiose metabolic performance and shifted the direction of cellobiose metabolic flux from respiration to fermentation in the presence of cellobiose compared with the CBS6054 strain.

In the modem semiconductor industry, the progress that consumes the most capital and labor is cleansing process. Cleansing process is to remove impurities that can affect the operation of the device and deteriorate its function. Especially, Photoresist (PR) progress that etches the device always requires cleansing at the end of the progress. Also, HDI-PR (High-Dose Ion-implanted Photoresist) created from PR progress is difficult to remove. Thus, in modem IC cleansing, many steps of cleansing are used, including dry and wet cleansing. In this paper, we suggested to combine existing dry-cleansing and wet-cleansing, each represented by plasma cleansing and stripper solution, as Plasma Liquid-Vapor Activation (PLVA). This PLVA method enhances the effect of existing cleansing solution, and decreases the amount of solution and time required to strip. We stripped HDI-PR by activated solution and measured surface hardness and Young's modulus by Nano-indenter. Nano-indenter is the equipment that determines the hardness and the modulus of elasticity by indenting nano-sized tip with specific shape into the surface and measuring weight and z-axis displacement. We measured the change of surface hardness and Young's modulus before and after the cleansing. As a result, we found out that the surface hardness of the sample sharply decreased after the cleansing by plasma-activated PR stripper solution. It can be considered that if physical surface-cleansing process is inserted after this, more effective elimination of HDI-PR is possible.

In this paper, we propose and verify an adaptive block watermarking algorithm based on JPEG2000 DWT, which determines watermarking for the original image by two scaling factors in order to overcome image degradation and blocking problem at the edge. Adaptive block watermarking algorithm uses 2 scaling factors, one is calculated by the ratio of present block average to the next block average, and the other is calculated by the ratio of total LL subband average to each block average. Signals of adaptive block watermark are obtained from an original image by itself and the strength of watermark is automatically controlled by image characters. Instead of conventional methods using identical intensity of a watermark, the proposed method uses adaptive watermark with different intensity controlled by each block. Thus, an adaptive block watermark improves the visuality of images by 4$\sim$14dB and it is robust against attacks such as filtering, JPEG2000 compression, resizing and cropping. Also we implemented the algorithm in ASIC using Hynix 0.25${\mu}m$ CMOS technology to integrate it in JPEG2000 codec chip.

This experiment was carried out to breed the cold-tolerant variety of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) at the Grassland and Forage Crops Division, National Livestock Research Institute, RDA at Suwon, Korea, from 1999 to 2005. The new variety 'Kogreen' is a diploid variety with a green leaf color and had semi-erect habit in late autumn and erect growth habit in early spring. The heading date of 'Kogreen' was on May 4, and for 'Florida 80' was May 2, both are considered as early-heading variety. 'Kogreen' was wider by 0.7mm in flag leaf width, longer by 2 cm in flag leaf length and shorter by 1cm in plant length than the control variety, Florida 80. Stem width of 'Kogreen' was similar to that of 'Florida 80' and 'Hwasan 101'. cold tolerance of 'Kogreen' was better than that of 'Florida 80'. Dry matter(DM) yield (12,884kg/ha) of 'Kogreen' was 3% less than that of 'Florida 80'. in vitro dry matter digestibility was 74.7% and total digestible nutrient was 65.1%, which are 3.6% and 1.5% higher than those of 'Florida 80', respectively. Acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber of 'Kogreen' were 30.1% and 54.1% which are 1.9% and 1.3% lower than those of 'Florida 80', respectively.
