In this paper, we operate Synchronous Reluctance Motor(SynRM) using the two-phase conduction method. Acually SynRM is operated by the sinusoidal PWM method but in home-appliance there is many restrictions of making the motor such as the method of winding, the shape of rotor etc. Therefore it is possible that there is little difference of performance between the two-phase conduction method and the sinusoidal PWM method. In this paper the characteristics of motor noise will be analyzed especially in the case of using the two-phase conduction method by experiment results.

In this paper, a robust method is developed to precisely detect iris of both eyes. The method does not put any restrictions on the background. The method is based on AdaBoost for face and eye candidate points detection. Candidate points are post-processed and an iris pair is selected using mean crossing function and a convolution template.

In this paper, we construct some results on the existence and regularity for solutions of neutral functional differential equations with unbounded principal operators in Hilbert spaces. In order to establish the existence and regularity for solutions of the neutral system by using fractional power of operators and the local Lipschtiz continuity of nonlinear term without using many of the strong restrictions considering in the previous literature.

The estimation of mean lifetimes in presence of interval censoring with replacement procedure are examined when the distributions of lifetimes are exponential. It is assumed that, due to physical restrictions and/or economic constraints, the number of failures is investigated only at several inspection times during the lifetime test. The maximum likelihood estimator is found in an implicit form. The Cramer-Rao lower bounds of the estimates are found in places of variances and by simulations the properties of the estimates are examined.

This paper is aimed to study the standby redundant system with the relay of parallel structure, by making use of the character of standby system, which reliability is higher than parallel system's if the relay has higher reliability than a certain level. By assigning the low-priced relay to the subsystem, this method increases the relay reliability, optimizes the standby redundant system reliability without violating the restrictions, and consequently reduces the cost.

본 논문에서는 Cone-ratio 가중치 제약이 DEA 단일 입력, 다중 출력(또는 다중 입력, 단일 출력)에 맞게 constant return을 하는 문제에 적용될 때 효율성을 측정하는 방법에 필요한 특성을 제안하였다. 또한 제안된 특성들을 기반으로 DEA에서의 단일 입력, 이중 출력에 대한 다중 해결 문제의 예시를 제시한 후 Cone-ratio 및 Wong과 Beasley 가중치 제약의 특성들을 도식적으로 비교 설명하였다.

The conical bearing can be used to support the radial and thrust load simultaneously. Two circumferential grooves with discrete hole restrictions are made on the bearing surface in order to increase stiffness. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of this type of bearings are calculated such as stiffness and champing coefficients. As a results of theoretical analysis, it is verified that there exist the groove depth and distance between two grooves which produce the maximum stiffness at the given bearing dimensions.

Two new types of positive biasedness, which are closely related to Type III positive biasedness (Yanagimoto and Sibuya, 1972), are proposed. We call these near Type III positive biasedness. Though no implication between Type II and near Type III biasedness exists, near Type III seems to be less restrictive than Type II biasedness. Constrained maximum likelihood estimates of distribution functions under near Type III positive bisedness are obtained. The likelihood ratio tests of symmetry against new positive biasedness restrictions are proposed. A small simulation study is conducted to compare the performance of the tests.

It is necessary to develop graphic MMI (Man-Machine Interface) for the maximum utilization of our installed ADS (Automated Distribution System) for which an operator types and executes string commands. Considering the restrictions and characteristics of the installed ADS and the data for modelled distribution lines, we calculated the time of periodic data acquisition for large number of points. And we presented the performance and characteristics of the graphic MMI system which will be developed and which will facilitate SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) functions.
