Test of Local Restriction on a Multinomial Parameter

  • If a restriction is imposed only to a (proper) subset of parameters of interest, we call it a local restriction. Statistical inference under a local restriction in multinomial setting is studied. The maximum likelihood estimation under a local restriction and likelihood ratio tests for and against a local restriction are discussed. A real data is analyzed for illustrative purpose.

  • In this paper, a design method of controller which incorporates pole restriction into implicit self tuning algorithm is proposed. The idea behind pole restriction is that the closed loop poles of the system are restricted to a user-chosen circle in the region to meet maximum percentage overshoot and settling time specification. Most algorithm based on pole restriction are explicit schemes involving a parameter estimation and synthesis stage to obtain controller parameters. The object of this paper is to have an algorithm that has the idea of pole restriction and the simplicity of the implicit approach.

  • Collinearity among independent variables can have severe effects on the precision of response estimation for some region of interest in the experiments with mixture. A method of finding optimal linear restriction on regression parameter in linear model for mixture experiments in the sense of minimizing integrated mean squared error is studied. We use the formulation of optimal restrictions on regression parameters for estimating responses proposed by Park(1981) by transforming mixture components to mathematically independent variables.

  • 본 연구는 서울, 수도권 및 부산광역시의 4지 신호교차로를 대상으로 도로의 기하구조측면, 교통특성, 환경특성 등 다양한 요인을 고려하여 교통사고예측모형을 구축하고 교차로사고와의 상호관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 기존의 음이항 모형보다 확률적 음이항 모형의 설명력이 높게 나타났으며 총 52개의 변수 중 10개의 변수가(주도로의 차로 수, 주도로의 좌회전 교통량, 주도로의 주행제약시설 수, 부도로의 우회전 교통량, 부도로의 교차로 시거, 교차로의 총 현시, 부도로의 중앙분리대 유무, 부도로의 제한속도, 부도로의 교통섬 유무, 부도로의 속도제약시설 수) 도시부 4지 신호교차로에서 교통사고에 영향을 미치는 유의한 변수로 나타났다. 또한 10개의 유의한 변수 중 2개의 변수가(부도로의 교차로 시거, 부도로의 차량 주행속도 제약 시설물 수)가 확률적 변수로 나타났다.

  • This paper considers the design and analysis of one-step ahead optimal and adaptive controllers, under the restriction that a known constraint on the input amplitude is imposed. It is assumed that the discrete-time single-input, single-output system to be controlled is linear, except for inequality constraints on the input. The objective function to be minimized is an one-step quadratic function, where polynomial weights on the input and output are included. Both the known parameter and unknown parameter (indirect adaptive controller) cases are examined.

  • This paper aims at describing a series development of the electrical machine, by using the Similarity Theory. The character of the electrical machine defined as the Four Terminal Network of the electrical and mechanical energy transmission system, and the analogy theory of the modelmachine can be developed by the Four Termianl System. Also the Restriction Parameter and Disturbance Parameter can be founded by the comparative data of the developed machine that is the character of the theory and measurement.

  • Most studies using state-space models have been conducted under the assumption of independently distributed noises in measurement and state equation without adequate verification of the assumption. To avoid the improper use of state-space model, testing the assumption prior to the parameter estimation of state-space model is very important. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the general relationship between parameters of state-space models and those of ARIMA processes. Under the assumption, we derive restricted parameter spaces of ARIMA(p,0,p-1) models with mutually different AR roots where $p\;{\le}\;5$. In addition, the results of ARIMA(p,0,p-1) case can be expanded to more general ARIMA models, such as ARIMA(p-1,0,p-1), ARIMA(p-1,1,p-1), ARIMA(p,0,p-2) and ARIMA(p-1,1,p-2).

  • 三項出力歸還 制御器의 파라미터調整을 컴퓨터模擬實驗에 의해 時間領域解析과 最適値를 活用할 수 있게 하였다. 正常狀態應答, 外亂無視, 過渡應答遂行을 效率的으로 選擇될 수 있는 PID制御器의 設計를 汎用例에 의하여 考察하였다. 이에 의해 sensor base system構成圖를 또한 提示한다.

  • Muscle based face image synthesis is one of the most realistic approach to realize life-like agent in computer. Facial muscle model is composed of facial tissue elements and muscles. In this model, forces are calculated effecting facial tissue element by contraction of each muscle strength, so the combination of each muscle parameter decide a specific facial expression. Now each muscle parameter is decided on trial and error procedure comparing the sample photograph and generated image using our Muscle-Editor to generate a specific face image. In this paper, we propose the strategy of automatic estimation of facial muscle parameters from 2D marker movement using neural network. This also 3D motion estimation from 2D point or flow information in captered image under restriction of physics based face model.

  • In this paper, we introduce the design method using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) which is profitable in the compatability and standardization of the developed product, and the reduction of construction time and price to develop and design a machine equipment. Particularly, we select the standard model to design or develop from the large machinery to the super precision one, extract the peculiar characters of the model by the close analysis of the physical and technical part, the experiment for the characteristics of objective dimensions by analogical mathematical analysis for previous results, and can induce the design model demanded by user investigating optimal data in the design previous We present the analogical algorithms and process method of design factors and restriction factors in the systematization design with computer. Then we analyze step functions for each systematization equipment and induce the process of technical data with actuator model.
