This paper closely examines the relation between ‘how the local residents' involvement in a tourist industry and their perception of tourist development have an influence on tourism' and also 'how the understanding of a tourist effect has an influence on the local residents' participating intention in the tourist policy'. The local residents' involvement in the tourist industry was influenced by economical and socio-cultural factors among the influencing perceptions on local festivals, but, statistically, was not influenced by an environmental factor. The local residents' perception of tourist development has influenced on each local festival, and for the rate of influence, the environmental factor was the highest, and in the next order, the residents' intention to participate in tourist policy, the socio-cultural factor, and the economical factor followed. In the relation between local residents' perception of tourist influence and their participating intention, only the factor of socio-culture had a plus(+) influence on the participating intention in the tourist policy. It is expected that this result will be different from the tourist influence of tourist development. Therefore, a study of the perception on the influence of tourist development will be required in the future.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the perception of and attitude toward dementia and depression among residents in a community. Methods: Data were collected using the questionnaire from 226 residents in Incheon city from February to May, 2017. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe's test to identify differences in perception of and attitude toward dementia and depression. Pearson correlation coefficients were used to identify the correlation between the study variables, and multiple regression was used to identify factors affecting depression. Results: There were significant differences in perception of dementia according to age, education, marital status, and exercise. Also, significant differences in attitude toward dementia were found in occupation, family history of dementia and education about dementia. Depression was significantly different depending on the type of health insurance coverage and alcohol drinking. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of residents' perceptions of tourism impact and conflicts on residents' participation in rural tourism village. Method of analysis involves factor analysis and regression analysis in this study. In order to measure the level of perception, three factors(economic benefits, social benefits, social and environmental cost) are derived from the factor analysis. And also in order to measure the level of conflict, two factor(openness of information, leading of operation) are derive from the factor analysis. The result of regression analysis indicate that perceived economic benefits and social benefits are rather greater impacts on residents' participation than social and environmental cost, and also openness of information is rather greater impacts on residents' participation than leading of operation.
This purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and participation satisfaction of residents who participated in the rural landscape improvement project in Geumsan. The projects were conducted in three villages of Geumsan in 2018 and total 96 residents had participated. The results of the questionnaire survey on the participants showed that they usually have interests in community activities and actively participated. As a result of analyzing factors related to the change of residents' perceptions and satisfaction. It was found that there was significant difference in perception and satisfaction according to frequency of participation, not demographic factors. It is interesting that active interaction among residents during the projects and satisfaction on process are important factor for overall project satisfaction. For successful rural landscape improvement projects, it is necessary to encourage and support interaction and communication among residents. The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of local residents towards the impact of Geumsan ginseng festival. This study was trying to examine the perception differences between groups of resident by tourism relatedness. Self-administered questionnaire survey was administered for the Geumsan residents. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and t-test was administered for the perception differences. Using social exchange theory, it was revealed that tourism relatedness was relatively useful to test the perceptions differences of residents towards festival impacts. Tourism related residents perceived positive impacts more strongly and negative impacts Jess strongly compare to non related residents. The result suggested that residents' perception of festival impacts was dependent on the level of tourism relatedness and implications are drawn for community tourism policy and management.
This study attempted to investigate the effect of foodservice quality perception on residence satisfaction of silver town residents. Through an extensive literature review, the questionnaire was developed and distributed to senior residents in 'A' silver town located in Gyeonggi-Do. Out of 254 questionnaires administered, a total of 212 completed questionnaires were returned, yielding a response rate of 83.5%. The results showed that there was a meaningful correlation between perception on foodservice quality and residence satisfaction. Among foodservice quality factors, reliability and comfort were the most important factors affecting residence satisfaction. Considering the effect of reliability and comfort factors on residence satisfaction, it is important to make a strategy to build up these factors in foodservice operation of silver town.

The Korean government has promoted rural development projects aimed at bridging the gap between cities and rural areas. However, prior research in assessing available rural projects was mainly focused on only part of the agricultural area, evaluation of project types and improvement measures, analysis of operating management policies, and measuring levels of importance by sub-project categories, and yet the study found a little study on residents' satisfaction of the project who is the direct and fundamental beneficiary. In particular, comparative studies on rural and fishing village residents were insufficient. Thus, the present study chose village residents from Chodo-ri where the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held the Customized Capacity Empowerment Project from the Gangwon Fishing Village Specialized Support Center and Songgye-ri where was the project area for rural revitalization project to navigate changes on both perception and satisfaction of the village residents before and after the education.
