The aim of this paper is to examine the determinants of residential satisfaction and attachment according to the urban multi-family dwelling types. On the basis of the surveys, the factor analysis and regression are employed as the empirical analysis on residential satisfaction and attachment in Daegu metropolitan city. The major findings are as follows; First, as for post-occupancy evaluation of residential environment of building and outside, the residents of complex type of multi-family housing satisfied with most of items more than studio type except the location, amenity facilities around building and utilities fee. Second, about the Residential Satisfaction and Attachment by types, the residents of complex type of multi-family housing satisfied with most of items more than studio type too. Third, the determinants in residential Satisfaction of complex types are 'welfare and amenity facilities factor', 'maintenance factor' and 'location factor'. On the other hand, the determinants in residents of studio type are 'inexpensive rent fee factor', 'welfare and amenity facilities factor' and 'maintenance factor'. Going forward, this research will help us better understand residential satisfaction from the point of residents and find new ways to improve resident satisfaction and attachment.

In 2007, Seoul Metropolitan Government introduced new public rental housing policy called SHift that works as rental deposit base. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the residential satisfaction of SHift. This research has shown conclusively that there is a link between the Location of apartment, Internal Premises, External Premises and satisfaction of SHift residents. The main factors of Residential satisfaction of SHift residents are Location of economical factor. The factor analysis of the 12 factors of variable are confirmed by the internal consistency reliability. This analysis is evaluate on discrimination of the correlation between the dwelling circumstance and the residential satisfaction. The economical factor was the main factor among the Independent variables. It can be concluded that the general overview of the Residential Satisfaction of SHift residents satisfaction is "quite good". But there are maby problems on SHift.

The aim of this study is to find out the solutions for an improvement of residential environment through the relation between satisfaction of residential environment and amenity awareness of the local residents in Chonnam Mokpo city. For this purpose, it is conducted a questionnaire survey of 203 local residents on the attributes of residential environment. The satisfaction factors of residential environment consist of 8 types of factors such as housing structure, stability, green tract of an avenue, convenience, housing environment, sanitary conditions, waterside facilities, and familiarity. It is analyzed that there is a great difference of the satisfaction between new town dwellers and old town dwellers in three satisfaction factors of a housing structure, convenience, and housing environment. The attributes of amenity awareness consist of 6 types of factors such as fitness, comfort, intimacy, vitality, naturalness, and brilliance. The new town dwellers have a high satisfaction in fitness and vitality factors, and the old town dwellers have a high satisfaction in naturalness factors. Through the analysis to the importance on the satisfaction factors of residential environment related to amenity awareness, it is founded that intimacy factor have importance in order of stability, familiarity, green tract of an avenue and sanitary conditions. Naturalness factor have importance in order of stability, waterside facilities, familiarity and green tract of a avenue. Fitness factor have importance in order of housing structure and sanitary conditions. Comfort factor have importance in order of stability, housing environment and sanitary conditions. And vitality factor have importance in order of housing environment, convenience and green tract of an avenue. Therefore, it is needed that the development plan of residential environment take into consideration in accordance with the importance on the satisfaction of residential environment in Mokpo city.

This study conducted a survey 361 immigrants by Cheongju Yullyang II Land Development Projects of Chungbuk, Multifunctional Administrative City Construction Projects and analyzes the factor which affects their residential satisfaction. The result of study is as follows. The level of subjects' residential satisfaction is 5.35(SD=1.33) which is average. By looking the level of related factors which affect residential satisfaction, the levels of facilities region and residential environment region are normal. The levels of housing environment and trust of development are lower than the normal. To figure out the factor which affects residential satisfaction, a regression analysis is conducted. The result showed that age of research subject, family type, residence period, physical status, owner or renter, housing environment region, facilities region, residential environment region, and trust of development among factors related to residential satisfaction affect the residential satisfaction. Based on these results, several ways are suggested to improve residential satisfaction of the immigrants.

The study aims to establish the systematic residential satisfaction index which reflected perception of high rise residents are demand on the Apartment housing. Apartment house is developed to reduce the housing shortage caused by urbanism after industrialization in Korea. It has increased constantly since the 1970s and has become the most common residential type of Korean city dwellers. It shows Korean dwelling pattern and culture. Furthermore, it can be an index of private wealth. The main purpose of the thesis is the highlight on systematic planning process for actual users' needs. In other words, city planners are eager to reflect each individual preference when he/she designs a house. More practical and accurate research in user's satisfaction of housing can be helpful to overcome limitations of city planner's personal preference which can't provide certain evidences. First, the study has carried out the survey of importance of design elements which were selected on the basis of the results of the POE, Residential Quality, Quality Of Life which were carried out for the same subject. Then, the data were analyzed by SPSS 12+ program package in terms of frequency, factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results reveals that the Residential Satisfaction Index of Apartment housing are consisted of 8 factors which had been sorted out in factor analysis which can be interpreted to be closely related to the Physical, Social psychological and General environment.

This study aims to understand functional spaces within university dormitory, examine the influences of residential environment factors and personal characteristics on users' satisfaction through what parameters and probability among these parameters and seek improvement methods for dormitory users to live at dormitory as the best residential space through causal analysis of residential space uses at university dormitory based on such a probability. Research methods include theoretical research of architectural space characteristics of university dormitory facilities through literature survey, analysis of satisfaction with spaces and their uses through questionnaire and causal analysis of each residential environment factor after making route model using data obtained from the results of analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Factors affecting residents' satisfaction with cultural activities of residential environment factors are safety, territoriality, interior finishing and complexity and those affecting residents' educational activities are safety and amenity of space. Residential function space of university dormitory must have spatial planning that social activities including individual and small group culture and educational activities from the view of spatial territoriality and flexibility based on safety and amenity and facilities related to continuity and connection of common space and unit residential space should be decentralized rather than centralized.

In this paper, we attempted to eatablish questionnaire items for evaluation of residential satisfaction level by factor analysis, and the model was developed as a function of primary component of questionnaire items. For development of residential satisfaction model, items are selected by factor analysis adn regression coefficient is estimated by the multiple linear regression analysis.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the housing value and residential satisfaction, housing' investment value, and also the effect the purchase intention. Recently it has been argued that the consumers' investment value can have influence on the housing market, however it is extremely rare to find research market. Through this study, influencing relationship on how the factors of housing value can affect the residential satisfaction and investment value is figured out. Last, in order to analysis the influencing relationship of purchase intention, the questionnaire for residents were conducted. The analysis is done based on 585 significant research materials gathered from the questionnaires. For analysis methodology, this research is using SPSS 21.0, AMOS 18.0, along with analytic techniques, such as implementation of basic statistical analysis, reliability, and structural analysis. Following is the results summary of the research: First, results of a factor analysis extracted four factors of housing value: residential quality factor, economic factor, brand factor, accessibility factor. Second, we find from the residential quality, brand of the housing value were statistically effect of the residential satisfaction and investment value. Finally, residential satisfaction and investment value had a positive influence on purchase intention. The result indicates the housing buyers' positive investment value and residential satisfaction increase the purchase intention in housing market. The better the housing buyers' investment value on the real estate market, the higher the market activity.

This study classified and analyzed characteristics of residents in public rental housing based on data from the 2018 Housing Survey. First, in order to classify the type of public rental housing resident, the criteria were derived through factor analysis based on the satisfaction evaluation index. Next, based on the factor value, the group was classified by type through cluster analysis, and the satisfaction, characteristics of residential households, and characteristics of rental housing types were analyzed for each cluster. As a result of factor analysis, evaluation of housing facilities, accessibility, and residential comfort was selected as the cluster classification criteria, and a total of four clusters were derived through cluster analysis. As a result of analyzing the characteristics of each cluster, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference in the level of residential satisfaction, characteristics of residents, and detailed types of rental housing. The results of this analysis are expected to be used to improve existing public rental housing or develop new types of rental housing to match the characteristics of residential housing for public rental housing. In addition, in the type integration of rental housing currently being promoted, it is necessary to develop a method of providing differentiated services in consideration of the characteristics of tenants as well as the integration of physical housing types.

The purpose of this study was to identify housewives’housing values, to explore the degree of housewives’housing satisfaction according to residential area and to investigate the relative importance of housing values which affect housewives’housing satisfaction according to residential area and socio-demographic variables. The subjects of this study were 1,984 married women living in Taegu. A questionnaire was used as survey method. The data was analyzed by means of factor analysis, ANOVA, Scheffe test and regression analysis. The main findings were as follow: First, there was significant difference in housewives’housing values according to residential area. Second, housewives’housing satisfaction was found to be significantly different according to residential area. Third, housewives’housing satisfaction was significantly affected by housing values according to residential area and socio-demographic variables.
