Eco-car Manufacturing Activities as Engineering Design Education Subject in Suzuka National College of Technology

  • "The engineering education program for environmental intention and value creation" has been executed from 2008 to 2010 in Suzuka National College of Technology, which program was promoted as "Good Practice for Education" by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan. "Eco-car project" is one of these practical ecology/environment education programs. The project's members have been learning and researching the environmental managements by the process of design, manufacturing, and assembly of solar car, highly effective fuel consumption car (Eco-run car), electric vehicle and fuel-cell car. Also this project was supported by some professional experts of the local industries and community. The students learned the actual industrial technique, the engineering management and the structure of local industries by this project. In this paper, the environmental intention engineering design education with local industry collaboration is introduced.

The Effect of Cultural Dimensions on Knowledge-Sharing Intentions: Evidence from Higher Education Institutions in Jordan

  • The current study aims to examine the effect of Hofstede's dimensions of culture on the intention of sharing knowledge in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Jordan. In the literature, researchers have given limited attention to such an effect. Therefore, by adopting Hofstede's framework, the current study attempts to investigate how Jordan's cultural context impacts on the intentions to share knowledge in HEIs. This study applied quantitative research methods to investigate the effect of Hofstede's cultural dimensions on knowledge-sharing intentions. In total, 307 questionnaires were collected from employees in Jordanian universities and, then, tested using descriptive and regression analytical methods. The study results show that culture dimensions influence knowledge-sharing intention and that each dimension plays a different role in enhancing this knowledge-sharing intention. More specifically, it was found that long-term orientation, collectivism and high uncertainty avoidance had a positive effect on knowledge-sharing intention, while cultural masculinity and power distance had no negative effect. Based on these results, the study makes several recommendations, the most important of which is the promotion of cultural values that encourage intention to share knowledge. Also, more qualitative research is needed to explore in depth the effective means that encourage intentions to share different types of knowledge.

행동이완훈련이 비진정 상부위장관 내시경검사자의 불편감과 수검의도에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Behavioral Relaxation Training on Distress and Cancer Screening Intention of Patients with Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy)

  • Purpose: This study evaluates the effect of behavioral relaxation training on distress and cancer screening intention of patients with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods: The research was conducted in a non-equivalent control group posttest design. Data were collected from endoscopy subjects in B city from October to November of 2018. Fifteen minutes of behavioral relaxation training were provided to the experimental group (n=40) and traditional relaxation therapy methods were provided to the control group (n=40). Outcome measures were distress and cancer screening intention of patients with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Data were analyzed with a ${\chi}^2$-test, independent t-test, Fisher's exact test with SPSS/PC version 23.0. Results: The objective discomfort (t=8.81, p<.001) of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group; there were no significant differences in the subjective discomfort (t=1.73, p=.088). The cancer screening intention (t=-5.85, p<.001) of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: Behavioral relaxation training was effective in heightening cancer screening intention. Therefore it can be usefully applied to increase cancer screening intention.

Comparison perceptions of secondary mathematics teachers between Korea and Indonesia in covid-19 era

  • This study compared the perceptions of 548 Korean and Indonesian secondary school teachers in the COVID-19 era and examined factors affecting their intention to continue online learning. Based on survey data, the two countries were compared on seven factors (teaching readiness, challenges and issues, competencies that require training, sources of support, types of support, and endurance). Furthermore, we examined what factors influence the intention to continue online learning. As a result, Korean teachers perceived their teaching readiness for online learning to be less than that of Indonesian teachers. Indonesian teachers perceived that they did not receive sufficient support. Additionally, factors affecting the intention to continue online learning differed depending on the country. Based on these results, we suggested implications for integrating online learning into mathematics education.

피트니스센터의 확장된 마케팅믹스 요인이 이용객의 만족도, 추천 의도, 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Extended Marketing Mix Factors of Fitness Center on User's Satisfaction, Recommendation Intention, and Repurchase Intention)

  • Purpose: Due to the COVID-19 and inflation, participation sports companies, including fitness centers, are facing challenges. Since a fitness center must simultaneously manage facilities and operate services, both factors must be considered when developing a marketing strategy. Therefore, this study examines the effects of expanded marketing mix factors (price, physical evidence, place, people, product, and promotion) including facilities and services on the consumption behavior (satisfaction, recommendation intention, repurchase intention) of fitness center customers. Research design, data, and methodology: The data were collected from sample of 323 fitness club members in Seoul and analyzed with SPSS Win Ver.28.0 program. Result: The specific results of the study were as follows; First, extended marketing mix factors had significant positive (+) effect on satisfaction. Second, extended marketing mix factors had significant positive (+) effect on recommendation intention. Third, extended marketing mix factors had significant positive (+) effect on repurchase intention. Fourth, satisfaction had significant positive (+) effect on recommendation intention and repurchase intention. Conclusions: To encourage consumption behavior, it is necessary to convert existing customers into loyal ones by increasing satisfaction and establishing a virtuous cycle structure that recommends them to others while also improving repurchase intention.

에이즈 교육 프로그램이 간호학생들의 에이즈에 대한 지식, 태도, 두려움 및 간호의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of an AIDS Education Program of Nuring Students on Knowledge, Attitudes, Fear of Contagion and Nursing Intention about AIDS)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the effect of an AIDS education program of nursing junior students on knowledge, attitudes, fear of contagion, and nursing intentions about AIDS. Method: The study was conducted in a university in Chungnam province from March, 2000 to May, 2001. Research design of this study was a nonequivalent control group, non-synchronized design. A traditional lecture education was given to the control group. The experimental group received a multi-media education using video tape and group discussion as well as traditional lecture education. Data were collected 1 month before and after education. The SPSS program was used to analyze the data. Results: The results of this study were as follows: There were significant differences in the mean of knowledge (t=4.227, p=.000), prejudice (t=-2.281, p=.025), social interaction (t= 4.144, p=.000) between experimental group and the control group. But, there were no significant differences in the mean of fear of contagion (t=-7.320, p=.467) and nursing intention (t=.800, p=.427) between the two groups. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed the benefits of providing educational interventions for improving knowledge and attitudes, but didn't show any significant changes on fear of contagion and nursing intention. Therefore, to reduce fear of contagion and increase nursing intention, various teaching strategies need to be further studied and evaluated.

대학생의 개인적 특성이 창업멘토링과 교육만족, 창업의지에 미치는 영향 (Effect on startup mentoring, education satisfaction, and startup intention according to the individual characteristic of university student)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 개인특성에 따라 창업멘토링과 창업교육만족도, 창업의지에 미치는지 영향에 관한 연구를 알아보고, 대학생의 창업역량과 창업성과를 높이기 위한 방법을 도출하는 것이 주요한 목적이다. 이를 위해 광주지역 대학생 237명의 표본자료 통계처리는 SPSS 2.0 For Windows를 활용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석 실시하였다. 혁신성을 제외한 개인적 특성요인은 창업멘토링, 창업교육만족도에 영향을 미치고, 창업멘토링은 창업교육만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 창업멘토링요인 중 역할모델기능만이 창업의지에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고. 창업교육만족은 창업의지에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 대학에서는 역량 있는 창업멘토를 선정하고, 대학생의 개인적 특성에 맞는 창업멘토링과 체계적인 창업교육 프로그램을 통해 창업의지와 창업성과를 높일 수 있다.

서핑참여자의 참여동기가 몰입경험 및 지속적 참여의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Surfing Participants' Participation Motivation on Flow Experience and Continuous Participation Intention)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the influences of surfing participants' participation motivation on flow experience and continuous participation intention. The study conducted a research survey through purposive sampling method after selecting 2 surfing center in Ganwon-do. 280 questionnaires distributed and 269 were selected as final valid sample by removing 11 questionnaires that have insufficient answers. Then data were analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Window ver. 20.0. The results were as followings. First, participation motivation factors have positive effect on flow experience. Second, participation motivation factors have an influence on continuous participation intention. Third, flow experience have an influence on continuous participation intention. Fourth, leisure flow have an influence on continuous participation intention.

도서 관광지의 선택속성, 서비스 가치, 만족도 및 행동의도 관계 연구: 추자도를 대상으로 (Selection Attributes on Behaviour Intention of Island Tourism : focused on Chuja region)

  • The objective of this paper was to analyze the relationships between the factors of selection attributes and the behavior intention focusing on Domestic tourists in Chuja island. This paper utilized the path analysis to investigate the factors of selection attributes affecting the visitors' satisfaction and re-visit intention through service value as mediating factor. This study showed the most important thing among the factors influencing service value in research model was 'uniqueness of island'. Finally, this paper presented that the selection attributes had affected overall satisfaction and re-visit intention through the mediation of service value. In addition, this study calculated total effect including indirect and direct effect of the choice attributes on behavior intention. This result can give the stakeholders related to Chujado island a implication for a better policy of tourism development.

남자간호사의 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도 (Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention among Male Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention among male nurses in South Korea. Methods: Data were collected in May, 2013 and a total of 150 male hospital nurses participated in this study. Job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention were measured using a structured questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 for windows. Results: There were statistically significant correlations between job satisfaction and organizational commitment (r=.74, p<.001), job satisfaction and turnover intention (r=-.56, p<.001), and organizational commitment and turnover intention (r=-.69, p< .001). There was a statistically significant difference in job satisfaction of participants according to education, work unit, and salary. Organizational commitment showed significant difference according to age, education, work unit, and salary. Turnover intention was significantly different according to duration of employment in the hospital, and salary. The most influential factor for turnover intention was organizational commitment (${\beta}=-.69$, p<.001). This factor accounted for 47.8% of the variance in turnover intention. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that to reduce turnover intention for men in nursing, it is necessary to increase job satisfaction, and organizational commitment.
