In this paper we have applied phase conjugated holographyto DHM (digital holography microscopy) to remove phase aberration and noise. Generally, digital holographyincludes the phase information of the object, phase aberration terms introduced by the measurement system and noise terms (DC term and twin images). These aberrations and noise terms decrease the quality of the reconstructed phase image. We could obtain a conjugated hologram which includes only phase information of object. Experimentally we show that distortion of image and aberration of phase in a measurement system are removed using the conjugation hologram.
With the development of autonomous driving technology, the importance of object recognition technology is increasing. Haze removal is required because the hazy weather reduces visibility and detectability in object recognition. However, the image from which the haze has been removed cannot properly reflect the unique color, and a detection error occurs. In this paper, we use CIE1931 color coordinate system to extend or reduce the color area to provide algorithms and hardware that reflect the colors of the real world. In addition, we will implement hardware capable of real-time processing in a 4K environment as the image media develops. This hardware was written in Verilog and implemented on the SoC verification board.
This paper suggests an efficient method to extract face regions from the com]]lex background. Input image is transformed to color space, where the data is independent of the brightness and several regions are extracted by skin color information. Each extracted region is processed as an object. Noise and overlapped objects ate removed. The candidate objects, faces are likely to be included in, are selected by checking the sizes of extracted objects, the XY ratio, and the distribution ratio of skin colors. In this processing, the objects without face are excluded out of candidate regions. The proposed method can be applied for successful extraction of face regions under various conditions such as face extraction with complex background, slanted faces, and face with accessories, etc.

In this paper, We propose a method of motion interpretation of pedestrian for active traffic signal control. We detect pedestrian object in a movie of crosswalk area by using the code book method and acquire contour information. To do this stage fast, we use parallel processing based on CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture). And we remove shadow which causes shape distortion of objects. Shadow removed object is judged by using the hilbert scan distance whether to human or noise. If the objects are judged as a human, we analyze pedestrian objects' motion, face area feature, waiting time to decide that they have intetion to across a crosswalk for pdestrians. Traffic signal can be controlled after judgement.
Java specification states that all accesses to an object must be checked at runtime if object refers to null. Since Java is an object-oriented language, object accesses are frequent enough to make null pointer checks affect the performance significantly. In order to reduce the performance degradation, there have been attempts to remove redundant null pointer checks. For example, in a Java environment where a just-in-time (JIT) compiler is used, the JIT compiler removes redundant null pointer check code via code analysis. This paper proposes a technique to remove additional null pointer check code that could not be removed by previous JIT compilation techniques, via early null pointer check using an architectural feature called predication. Generally, null point check code consists of two instructions: a compare and a branch. Our idea is moving the compare instruction that is usually located just before an use of an object, to the point right after the object is defined so that the total number of compare instructions is reduced. This results in reduction of dynamic and static compare instructions by 3.21$\%$ and 1.98$\%$. respectively, in SPECjvm98 bechmarks, compared to the code that has already been optimized by previous null pointer check elimination techniques. Its performance impact on an Itanium machine is an improvement of 0.32$\%$.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The accumulation of amyloid-${\beta}$ ($A{\beta}$) in the brain is a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and plays a key role in cognitive dysfunction. Perilla frutescens var. japonica extract (PFE) and its major compound, rosmarinic acid (RA), have shown antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. We investigated whether administration of PFE and RA contributes to cognitive improvement in an $A{\beta}_{25-35}$-injected mouse model. MATERIALS/METHODS: Male ICR mice were intracerebroventricularly injected with aggregated $A{\beta}_{25-35}$ to induce AD. $A{\beta}_{25-35}$-injected mice were fed PFE (50 mg/kg/day) or RA (0.25 mg/kg/day) for 14 days and examined for learning and memory ability through the T-maze, object recognition, and Morris water maze test. RESULTS: Our present study demonstrated that PFE and RA administration significantly enhanced cognition function and object discrimination, which were impaired by $A{\beta}_{25-35}$, in the T-maze and object recognition tests, respectively. In addition, oral administration of PFE and RA decreased the time to reach the platform and increased the number of crossings over the removed platform when compared with the $A{\beta}_{25-35}$-induced control group in the Morris water maze test. Furthermore, PFE and RA significantly decreased the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the brain, kidney, and liver. In particular, PFE markedly attenuated oxidative stress by inhibiting production of NO and MDA in the $A{\beta}_{25-35}$-injected mouse brain. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that PFE and its active compound RA have beneficial effects on cognitive improvement and may help prevent AD induced by $A{\beta}$.
Video Completion refers to a computer vision technique which restores damaged images by filling missing pixels with suitable color in a video sequence. We propose a new video completion technique to fill in image holes which are caused by removing an unnecessary object in a video sequence, where two objects cross each other in the presence of camera motion. We remove the closer object from a camera which results in image holes. Then these holes are filled by color information of some others frames. First of all, spatio-temporal volumes of occluding and occluded objects are created according to the centroid of the objects. Secondly, a temporal search technique by voxel matching separates and removes the occluding object. Finally. these holes are filled by using spatial search technique. Seams on the boundary of completed pixels we removed by a simple blending technique. Experimental results using real video sequences show that the proposed technique produces new completed videos.
In the case of object detection using deep learning, both accuracy and real-time are required. However, it is difficult to use a deep learning model that processes a large amount of data in a limited resource environment. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an object detection model for small embedded devices. Unlike the general detection model, the model size was minimized by using a structure in which the pre-trained feature extractor was removed. The structure of the model was designed by repeatedly stacking lightweight convolution blocks. In addition, the number of region proposals is greatly reduced to reduce detection overhead. The proposed model was trained and evaluated using the public dataset PASCAL VOC. For quantitative evaluation of the model, detection performance was measured with average precision used in the detection field. And the detection speed was measured in a Raspberry Pi similar to an actual embedded device. Through the experiment, we achieved improved accuracy and faster reasoning speed compared to the existing detection method.

In the present paper, it removed the low frequency noise under 1Hz which get up base wandering from the various noise which is included in ECG signals. It used wavelet filter, FIR filter and Adaptive FIR filter and compared the efficiency of the filter. The set condition of 3 kind filters which are the comparative object is the next contents. Used wavelet case, used generating functions db7 and after decomposition, the low frequency of 8 phases (cA8) replaced at 0. FIR filter case, filter coefficient set 1400, cutoff frequency (${\omega}$) set 0.002. Adaptive FIR filter case, collecting coefficients (${\mu}$) with 0.005. The comparative result from the output wave shape and FT spectrum, wavelet is excellent in base wandering removals compared FIR filter and Adaptive FIR filter. And SNR comparisons, wavelet filter(44.16) is high compare with other two filters(25.19 and 15.94).

A novel dual beam heterodyne Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV) in conjunction with FM demodulators, which utilizes a residual beam to eliminate the perturbationdue due to the vibrometer body vibration without any external reference surface, has been developed. Residual laser beam from the beam splitter is used to pick up the vibration of damper, which is mounted in the vibrometer, and combined with reference beam at the photodetector. The output signal of this detector and main signal are processed to extract the object vibration, using a least mean square adaptive algorithm. It is shown experimentally that the body vibration of 1-5 Hz can be effectively removed from the measured signal using DSP technology to extract unperturbed 100 Hz original signal.
